He has been told it time and time again yet ignores the fact that the fans had a minor part to play in this,,,,but that doesnt suit his agenda for the last 4 years! Does anyone honestly believe that if Lowe wanted him he wouldnt get him? Fans wanted Pearson what did we get Lowes Dutch farce! Dalek ignores Hoddles record since at Spurs and |Wolves as it stops his usual ****fest over his pin ups on his wall.

Listen you complete imbecile...its been explained about 1000 times yet you still bleat on and on and on..... Club Member Posts: 3216 Joined: 13/08/2007 Glenn, Sam, and Rupert.. You may recall in the week running up to our great escape, I mentioned that I would be seeing Dave Hoddle(Glenn's uncle) and John Radford whilst I was in Bishops Stortford. We did meet up at the Bell in Stansted, although JR was only there for 20 mins or so, I did have a 2 hour conversation with Dave Hoddle. Inevitably the subject of Glenn, Rupert and Southampton came up. In the press there are stories of Rupert replacing NP with Glenn, or Sam Allardyce. So let's look at it, for what it's worth, thanks to Dave's input, I think we can dismiss both of these rumours. Rupert and Glenn are not so close as you would imagine.. 1..It still rankles Rupert the way Glenn left Southampton to join Spurs. 2..Glenn blames Lowe entirely, for the breakdown of his return here, prior to the Sturrock appointment. Yes, I know that fans resistance to Hoddle was blamed, and still is. But that's a myth, Rupert made the decision not to proceed, and since when has fan pressure influenced him? One or two directors voiced their nervousness of the appointment, but again since when did Lowe let that worry him? Rupert's decision was made entirely on a medical report, that still to this day, is very relevant to Glenn's ability to perform the day to day duties as team manager/coach. 3...Glenn Hoddle's only became aware that he hadn't got the appointment came when he saw the pictures of Sturrock on the pitch at SMS on TV. He immediately rang his agent to find out what was occurring, his agent then rang SFC to speak to Lowe. A row ensued, and Rupert was accused of betraying Glenn. He retorted that he (agent), and his client," were fine examples of loyalty considering the way he left in the first place" 4...Since then, the only contact that Glenn and Rupert has had, according to his uncle, have been at a couple of official functions. Both have been strained. With thanks to Patred

Interesting comment on SSN just now that Gold was looking to invest in a club south of Watford...he mentioned West Ham, Brighton and Southampton. Where the heck was he 12 months ago when we were desperate....whatever anyone says Brady is decent at her job. No thanks now though think we are more than happy with what we have.

What at dwarf throwing?
-
Officially no but there is no way they have time to stop you and go into that detail - to be honest why bother? Surely its far better that the seat is used plus the club still get additional revenue from drink, food etc from the persom attending as the seat has been paid for.
-
Or the fact that we had a number of players just sat there using up our wages fund? At the fans forum he made it quite clear that we would have to get a few out on loan first.
-
That would be the Luggy that kept Plymouth up and above Wotte who you said would keep us up....so don't think you are in a position to LOL are you ! ;-)

There is a massive difference between Kevin Davies, Scott McDonald and the division we were in then and Gillett and League One. Kevin Davies had become lazy, idle and couldn't be bothered in any game he played in. I watched him many times in the reserves and he couldnt be arsed to chase and run and get back in the first team. In fact when he did get back in he was even worse! He needed the move back up north to be nearer his family and has benefitted from that. How many clubs have come in for him since going to Bolton? Scott McDonald had a good match against Brighton then did bugger all after that and flitted about until landing at Celtic where he has shone in a **** poor league. Look at Neil McCann as an example of how a player can be good in Scotland yet utter sh1te down here. Your comment about Burley is laughable.....who spent £7m yet Pardew has assembled this squad for £1.7. If AP wants to remove squad players why keep Lallana? KD, Thomas, Perry, Paterson, Mills, James. We have to sign players for this league..horses for courses didn't we learn that last season playing pretty football gets you nowhere? Art you used to be one of the best posters on here going back to Studio54 days I am not sure whats happened to you but your acerbic posts abot Pardew are a great shame and do you no credit. Wit regard to points...without the previous regimes failure to take us into admin a week earlier we would now be 11th in the league and 4 points off the playoffs which given the circumstances AP took over in is not bad.
-
So come on then tell us where you would play him....given that you are far wiser than AP, Wilkins and Wally Downes?
-
Age may be getting the better of me but wasn't their also big Kevin Roberts?? Mark Gingell who always scored against us?
-
Roberts was an animal even at that age....he went to Weston Park who we always managed to draw in the semi-finals. Most of the Saints schoolboys came from Weston Park where the manager taught Alec Perkins?
-
Why? At the fans forum AP clearly stated that he would be in favour of a DOF in certaing circumstances and gave the 53 agents calling him as an example. Did McParland get a team relegated....has McParland a managerial record compared to Uncle Albert from Only Fools and Horses....sunk everywhere he has been? Did McParland saddle his team with 7 of the worst loans and players a side has seen?
-
I played against him at school against Merry Oak....think he got a hat-trick and was light years above everyone else at that age.
-
No he hasn't...I understand in France you don't get to see many games ART but he has been awful in the games he has played in. AP gets to see them in training far more than we do, he mentioned that Gillet needed to do more - in the open session he didn't look very good and gave the ball away a lot. Against Torquay he was abysmal.
-
But there were good resons for those substitutions and if you look at why they were made - mainly Mills - Harding was getting stuffed down that side so he bought on someone with pace and is primarily a full back to bolster that side. Wotton was bought on to add additional height in front of the back four - he hasn't done bad since(apart from Torquay).
-
I was at that game I think it was Spurs at home....the £11m Rebrov played that night....or was on the pitch lets say. It took me until the second half to realise he was playing he was that awful.

Tilson (their manager) -Saints contention for play offs
Give it to Ron replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Exactly....but can't believe some want to stay in this division! Going up will allow us to attract even better players - for me we have the basis of a decent CCC squad But its too early yet I just want us out of the bottom four as I am fed up with seeing us down there...all last season and this. -
I have seen Pulis play twice....thats some doing considering his record. On both occasions he was way off the pace, constantly giving silly fouls away plus a couple of shocking tackles, his inability to find a team mate consistently from ten yards was astounding. He kept trying to get involved and was calling and encouraging which is fine but you must have some ability to be taken serious...unfortunately on both occasions he didnt show any.
-
Its Pulis to Lincoln for a month
-
Am a bit concerned we are over confident on this one....ok its Torquay but we have a history of losing games we should of won.
-
Yep I can always be relied on to lend a crutch or two.
-
then get a bigger incontinence bag....tie up your trouser legs...thanks to the Big Yin.
-
Thats exactly what a mate and I were discussing on Saturday, that this league we have seen teams play football far more than last season. Teams seem to at least try and play the ball around rather than some of the hoof merchants we saw last season. Of course there are one or two exceptions like Colchester who were the worst team I have ever seen at SMS.
-
Yep as have had 5 knee ops as opposed to your tiny little one.....done it loads just store them under the seat.
