Thanks for recognising it for what it was. We all have dreams, aspirations and ideas, just like all the people he feels "above" .....however, there is a kind of peace and respect for others that comes with the realisation that we are all in this together. I'm way too guilty of pre-judging people based on what they seem to be not, rather than what they may be. ...i would prefer that we were measured by the quality of our dreams and aspirations rather than whether or not we achieved them. And we rarely get to know that side of them.

It would seem that the negativity rampant in this forum is not particularly representative of saints fans in general. Perhaps it would give us a better idea of real saints fans if the match goers temporarily ceased posting their own opinions, and posted the opinions of those who sit next to them for a while......like that would actually work!

The obsession with the flag is unhealthy enough on it's own. When compounded with an unfettered union between patriotism and nationalism it gets out of control. Flag = dead soldiers Anthem = dead soldiers Freedom of speech = dead soldiers Right to bear arms = dead soldiers Right to access health care = um, libtards Right to complain about lack of health care.....listen to the dead soldiers, apparently they would not have died for that, despite that freedom of speech thing they died for. I'm sure a soldier, just as much as anyone else would not appreciate having words put in their mouths. Especially after having given the ultimate sacrifice.

Just this morning I took a shopping cart full to the brim with ammo to the gun section of the store I work at. Only half was shotgun shells. That represents half a week of sales at this small rural town. Even with the hunters, it seems a heck of a lot!
