Poortvliet happy with "many" of our loan players

Robertson is somewhere in the middle, not brilliant but certainly not a bad player. Wouldn't mind getting him in exchange for Dyer, he at least gives us an option upfront. -

Pekhart and Smith haven't been too good. I doubt he would mean Robertson after playing him three games in a row, he's not been great but you can't knock the effort he's putting in. Maybe he means Gasmi although would be a bit harsh to judge someone who's not even match fit. -
Supposed to be nice weather tomorrow and Sunday.
-
With Gasmi nearing full fitness we're starting to look quite strong. Holmes is back in training as well, he should be a massive boost for us once he's back. Anyone know how many we've sold?
-
I really hope Schneiderlin is fit to play, we need him really. If not i'd move Cork into midfield alongside Surman and play Pearce at the back. Probably replace Robertson with Euell. Quite looking forward to the game, can see us playing badly and picking up a lucky win which will hopefully see us go on a bit of a run over Christmas.

plasterers, joiners, roofers and bricklayers wanted in Newbury
Andy_Porter replied to Seaford Saint's topic in The Lounge
What a load of rubbish, there are just as many lazy, unreliable foreign workers in this country. Sounds to me like you're just trying to justify taking work away from English people and giving it to cheaper foreigners. I don't care who anyone employs the Polish are just as entitled to work as anyone else but don't go making out like English workers sit on there arse and drink tea all day moaning. My family has run a building company for two generations now along the south coast, well over 20 years. We hardly advertise at all and nearly all our work is found through word off moth, referalls etc. We're a predominantly English company and we've never been accused of being lazy, dishonest, deceitful etc -
I meant he's the teams new scapegoat. Which he is, people give him far too much stick about his attitude, effort, lack of goals or anything else he does wrong. This last month he's probably been our best attacking player mainly down to his improved work ethic. Sadly I think a lot of Saints fans have already formed an opinion on McGoldrick no matter how well he played or how hard he tries.
-
He's been involved in all the Watford games since they played us apart from the last two since they've got Rodgers in charge.
-
We can't afford his wages, I thought everyone knew that by now. If we hadn't managed to send him out on loan in the summer that might have meant selling another one of the starting eleven. Imagine if we kept Rasiak but that meant selling Davis, we'd be in massive trouble now.
-
He was good for us a couple of years ago, would be nice if he was in that sort of form now but he isn't. Currently he isn't in great form and isn't even a main stay in a very poor Watford side.
-
He's been fit for a while now, started 4-5 games, then got dropped to the bench for a couple and since the new manager has come in he can't even get on the bench. Or where you disagreeing with the part about him not being on form? I mean since he last played for us he's scored twice and he left us nearly a year ago . . . Would be nice if you could explain what i've got so wrong about Rasiak, thanks.
-
I think we should be glad he's out on loan, he can't even get a game for Watford atm. I'm not sure anyone would be interested, he hasn't been on form for about a year and a half.
-
Wouldn't want the king bottler anywhere near our club. A poor mans Nigel Pearson.
-
Took over after four games which they lost IIRC, he did a decen job as a I said but when you're getting half your defence from United, Stokes for 3m from Arsenal etc I don't think he over achieved too much. He basically done what Burley should have done that same season, I reckon the spending must have been equal and we probably had similar teams.
-
Just a matter of experience and a bit of cover in a few key areas IMO. Certainly not far from being a solid team in this league.
-
Sign Cork and Pearce until the end of the season. Swap Robertson for Dyer, if only to get rid of his attitude. Send Smith and Pekhart back, not 100% sure on Smith but he's hardly played so I doubt he's impressed JP enough.
-
You're asking for trouble trying to defend McGoldrick on here, I'm sure people will see the light eventually. He certainly is the new Jermaine Wright though which is ridiculous IMO.
-
I agree, would make McGoldrick more productive as well, Euell is far better in the air than Patterson or McGoldrick. They could probably both switch around as well with Euell going upfront and McGoldrick deeper. Hopefully they will play together on Saturday, use Robertson as an impact sub.
-
I disagree, he did a decent job getting them promoted and staying in the league. It should be the least the club expect when they spend 80m odd on players. It was only a run of three wins in a row that really saved them. If it wasn't for Fergie loaning them Evans twice then they might not have stayed up. For a player who was well known for being a midfield hard man his sides really lack any sort of mettle in midfield. Tainio is probably his only player who can put his foot and he's not exactly ideal. He bought some quality players and just doesn't seem to know his best eleven at all, no suprise imo that he's gone. Someone should take over and do a good job though, the likes of Malbranque, Cisse, Jones, Ferdinand, Richardson, Gordon and Chimbonda are all decent players. Some of his transfers have been shocking. Chopra, Stokes, McShane, Healy, Cole, Higgingbotham, Etuhu, Harte, Prica etc
-
If Lallana goes for 2m someone will be getting a massive bargain. Would rather he goes somewhere like Fulham where he can get a game than one of the top sides. Not really sure where Surman would go, I doubt any Premiership clubs would be interested and I'm not sure if he'd be very happy about leaving Souhampton for another Championship side. I do think we can still avoid relegation without them. Both great players but if we replace them with players who are probably less skillfull but more effective in the league we should be ok. Euell and Cork into midfield instead of them both would give more experience, muscle and probably goals which is something we've been lackign this season. Will be a shame to lose our two most promising academy players but it doesn't automatically mean relegation. I would prefer it if we just tried to sell Skacel, Saga, Rasiak, Dyer, John, Forecast and Bialskowski before those two but they are obviously the two most sellable assets.
-
Skacel is probably better than McCann but he'd be no way near the team when we had Bridge and Marsden on the left side. Surman, Schneiderlin and Lallana would all be in the squad somewhere getting the odd game. Davis would be a decent enough sub keeper. None of the others would be good enough to make the sqaud.
-
Would be first one out the door If I was manager. If losing Skacel means we can keep one of Lallana, Surman and Schneiderlin then it's got to be worth it. Hopefully this new left back can do a job for us.
-
None would be even close to starting.

Will find out Friday when I get my ticket.

Is Block 41 seat 1061 far enough across to avoid moving?
