I have watched him play a lot for Barcelona and it's the opinion I have formed. I'm not saying you haven't watched him for Barca but stats don't always tell the whole story and they don't in this case. While he was injured and Messi played through the middle they looked far more dangerous. 56million and Eto'o is one of the worst transfers in a long time, Ibrahimovic just doesn't suit their style of play IMO.

Can't even get in the Charlton team at the moment. Seems to me like he developed physically very early compared to the rest of his age group and that helped him a lot when he was younger. Got potential, not sure a club like Liverpool is the best place for him but I'm sure he can fufill his potential eventually.

Xavi passed the ball 37 times more than the whole Inter team put together. Zlatan is totally useless and should have been on the bench and brought on as a plan B give them a bit of an aerial option.

You buy a bag (about 12 quid) from somewhere like Wickes/B&Q etc, it's similar to the sort of bags you'd get a tonne of sand in if you ordered from Jewsons or somewhere and they come in all sorts of sizes. You fill it up and then ring Rhino who come and pick it up and charge a fee for collection, think it's about 35 quid. There are other companies that just do the local area which are a bit cheaper. http://www.abbeygrabandbagco-romsey.co.uk/ http://www.rhinobag.co.uk/ I never use skips for my jobs anymore. Hope that helps.

Sizes are 1.5m which is tiny, better value getting a Rhino bag or just taking it to the tip or 3m which are you standard sort of size you see outside houses... If you know someone who has a van you'd be best off borrowing the van and taking it to a council tip.
-
Might be cheaper to get a Rhino bag or abbey bag and grab and you don't need to let the council know. What are you doing that you need a skip for?

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread

Not really sure he would help in those situations, he's a holding player rather than a creative player who can unlock a defence. Would have been perfect for somewhere like Leeds away where we just got bullied in midfield but Tranmere we just lacked the killer ball a more attack minded midfielder might have popped up with. -

Dirty little pikey. Don't need another defensive midfielder IMO. Need someone who gets into the box from midfield and scores a few goals not another Hammond, Schneiderlin, Gillett, James type player. We can do a lot better than signing a 36 year old. -
Sounds like a good idea, hope it all goes well. Go to plenty of away games but really don't have time to help but I'll be passing the URL on to all my football supporting friends when you're finished. The footballgroundguide site is decent but it seems to me alot of the pages just read exactly the same and it all becomes quite boring, will be good to see a site which is built around supporters pub, trains and nightlife. Will help keep it fresh and different with several different writes for each stadium page. Good luck.

Antonio - Will he be a saint next season..?
Andy_Porter replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
As good as Antonio is there are always better options available. Shame to see him go back to Reading, maybe we should have made more of an effort to sign him in the winter transfer window. -
I have a ticket for sale, please PM or reply here.

Chelsea have played with one upfront for the majority of the year. Like any good team they know when it's best to change formations, just like Pardew tries to do with us... I don't understand why people get so hung up on 4-4-2 vs 4-5-1 it's very outdated for a team to play just one formation. It's best to be fluid and have players who can interchange during a game, the best team in the world Barcelona change for a 4-3-3 to a 4-2-4 to a 4-5-1 to a shape that's close to 4-6-0 every game because their defenders can attack and their attackers can defend.

I wouldn't be suprised after having to sit through the two worst refereeing performances at Tranmere and then the Leeds game. I didn't think Oldham was that bad but it was still pretty shocking.

Would much rather face a trip to London than Sheffield after our last trip to Hillsborough.

They wouldn't be able to put a side out if we took all three of them - lets give them Pulis, Molyneux and Holmes as part of the deal.

Was at Leeds this season and didn't get much of a look in, would just be brilliant to get him here. At 20 he's only going to get better with strikers like Lambert and Connolly helping him in training. He wanted to join us when he left Bournemouth but we where obviously skint at the time. -

Koumas would be an amazing signing, probably not too unrealistic either. Puncheon, Koumas and Lallana playing behind Lambert would destroy anything in League one. -

Leon Best? Won't get a look in with Newcastle next season in the premier league, could be a good signing on Loan with a view to a premanent deal. Same with Sam Vokes who I'd love to see in a Southampton shirt. He's Still only 20 and would be fantastic back up for Lambert. -
Michael Johnson is a massive **** head, I saw a picture of him the other day and he looked like he had put on about three stone from the season where he broke into the City team. Would be a fantastic signing if he could cut back a bit, looked like a future England international a few years ago.

Proper yellow kit agian, would be brilliant.

Pretty stupid having St James Park twice with no indication of which one they mean. Got it three times and every time I've clicked the wrong end of the country. 95k is my best score so far.

The pre season friendly was really strange, 2,000 of us packed into a tiny little corner and then probably 1,000 b'mouth fans spread around the rest of the ground. Next seasons away game should be good, would be a nice one to open with so we can send them straight to the bottom of the table.
