  1. None of those are better than what we already have IMO. Should be looking at young up and coming players that will improve or experienced players that come straight into the team and make an instant impact. There's no point signing someone like McSheffrey and Doherty and just sticking them on the bench.
  2. I'd take Southampton promotion through the play offs ahead of a world cup win.
  3. I'm going to buy one so i've got something to do in between banging the back boards at St Marys.
  4. Paid 19 euros for a double vodka and a can of coke last year in Dublin, the three days I was there came close to costing me £650
  5. Beattie - never mind I see he's been mentined further up

  8. Nice one i'll subscribe to that as well, cheers.
  9. There's no way Kanu is 33 or Yakubu is 27 either. I honestly wouldn't be suprised if Kanu was closer to 50 than 33.
  10. Hull and Phil Brown :shudder: I'd rather play for my 5-a-side team than join Hull working for Phil "orange" Brown.
  11. I agree with this, Jagielka is a fantastic defender and if he was a little bit quicker he'd be playing for a bigger club than Everton.
  12. Terry has improved a lot since the Inter game, my best mates a Chelsea fan so I watch a lot of their games and he has been one of their best players. King showed he's not at Terrys level during the Mexico game IMO he couldn't handle Mexico's fluid front three at all - Terrys not perfect but in my eyes he is currently our most important defender. King and Dawson have done well for Spurs but neither of them have the experience Terry and Rio have they've both played countless top european sides and held their own. My one stand out Ledley King moment of the season was him getting done for 90 minutes by Nani. As for your last paragraph I agree, we aren't good enough to win the world cup but it's ridiculous to think dropping Terry and Gerrard would make a positive change.
  13. Looks like it's all been designed by a child.
  14. Just downloading it now. Can anyone reccomend any other football podcasts? Currently i'm subscribed to BBC World football phone in, BBC World Football, TheGame, SaintsWeb (best of the bunch), Football Weekly (second best) and Chappers Premier League podcast.
  15. I listen to the BBC World Football podcast and the North American football expert always bangs on about that, he think he's closer to 24/25.
  16. Usually the most boring fixture of the season. Hopefully a nice local League two side away from home.
  17. Agree with that Spades and Influced both put in brilliant performance as did the whole team a fantastic effort from everyone involved on both sides but those two really stood out IMO. Cracking performance up front from Russell (don't know the forum name) as well didn't stop running and scored a peach. Great day, so glad I played again. Thanks to Steve for making it happen again, hopefully we can do another game next summer.
  18. http://en.mcdonalds.fantasy.fifa.com/M/tac.mc That one IIRC.
  19. I really doubt he's 20. Would be a fantastic signing from the few clips I've seen of him over the years.
  20. Any squad with attacking talent like Di Maria, Tevez, Messi, Higuain, Milito and Aguero will be dangerous - just a shame Maradona likes to play Guttierez and pick a squad where Veron is there only real attacking midfielder. A proper manager and they would be strong favourites IMO. FWIW I think Spain or Brazil will win. France will underachieve again because Domenech is just awful.
  21. http://www.atdhe.net/19686/watch-france-u20-vs-denmark-u20 For those of us who don't like to give Sky money every month
  22. Terry hasn't been a liability, it's mad to even suggest that. He had a wobbly couple of months at the start of the year along with most of the Chelsea squad but since then he's been back to a very high standard. I agree Gerrard has been poor by his own high standards but to leave him at home would be ridiculous.
