Andrew Surman Has Been Told He Can Leave.
Andy_Porter replied to View From The Top's topic in The Saints
Surman and Puncheon are both left footed and towards the end of the season Lallana and Puncheon where swapping around so often it didn't make much of a difference. Puncheon is great for us at this level but we could improve on him and Surman would be an improvement, no doubt about it. -
I did this last boxing day so I could sit with my old man, gave them my ST and got two tickets next to eachother. Got My ST back in the post the day after the game. Good service from the ticket office.

In place of Puncheon on the right. In the middle of a 4-5-1 in place of Barnard. He's probably on par with Lallana and Schneiderlin as well. We aren't going to get promoted with only four decent midfielders, going to need at least six or seven who are all good enough to play every week at the highest level. If we won't to get promoted then Wotton and Holmes just won't cut it. -
Pre season - 27th July.

Surman would walk into our team ... nutters. -
I'm looking to do all of them apart from Tranmere and Colchester, might give Charlton a miss as well and maybe Oldham if it gets moved to midweek if we are still in the cup. Hartlepool, Carlisle, Barnet, D&R, Notts County, Peterborough and Rochdale will all be new grounds. Bit gutted that both Exeter and Yeovil are midweek, they where two of the best trips of the season last time round.

James Johnson Upson Terry Cole Milner Barry Carrick Cole Gerrard Rooney We might actually be able to pass the ball around a bit if we played that midfield together.

2010/2011 League One Fixtures - out now! Plymouth (home) first

I don't think I know anyone who would consider Plymouth a derby for us. How has the signing of Patterson gone down in Plymouth TDD? from what I've seen he's a class act, just the sort of striker who could score a hatfull in this league. -
I think the attendances will probably be as high if not higher than last season at the start of the season. I think the hard times will come during the winter, especially if we have a couple of good cup runs and end up with a **** load of Tuesday games again. I think the real balls up has been alienating fans and losing some of the feel good factor. Personally I don't have a problem with the booking fee or taking away the installment plan, I just think it's bang out of order how they handled it and didn't give any sort of pre-warning that if might happen. I'm now at the point where I rightly or wrongly think Cortese is here simply for the money.

If they sell their full allocation I'd like to think we could make that game a sell out. However they will probably put it on TV before the charity shield, can't see them taking 3,200 to a Sky 12.30 KO. -

Indeed, no chance that Moly, Pulis, Forecast etc will be registered. -
For the first time in 15 years I'm going to jack in my season ticket, I will probably get a membership just to make it slightly easier to pick up away tickets altough I'll probably just use my uncles ST for that anyway since he never does away games. Hopefully they do give us some sort of insentive to buy the membership, maybe no booking fee on tickets bought with a membership or a percentage off the cost of match day tickets that rises after every five tickets bought or something. If it's just a card which allows us to buy away tickets I'll be seriously ****ed off, I don't think Cortese is that stupid tbh.

Benzema with either Henry or Anelka up front, Ribery on the right, Malouda on the left with Toulalan and Nasri in the middle and they would have surely qualified. This 4-2-3-1 they have been playing doesn't seem to suit any of their players. If they had a player like Zidane then maybe the formation would work, sadly Gourcouf and Ribery are no way near that level on current form. Ribery since his injury has been poor and obviously has personal problems on his mind, it was Robben who carried Bayern for a lot of the season. With their squad they should be playing 4-4-2 and giving it a proper go.
-
Probably something to do with star signs, he really is a mong.
-
I would like to know the thinking behind Domenech taking Gignac, Henry and Govou ahead of Benzema? He hasn't had the best of seasons but he'd be a far better option than those three.
-
They will probably make season ticket holders send an application in writing and then fill the allocation with the STH's who have been to the most away games like they did with Brighton last season.
-
I'm suprised you even have to ask.
-
They're going to put us on Tele again aren't they?

Couldn't ask for a better run of away games at the end of the season. Bournemouth, Plymouth, Orient, Brighton and then Brentford. Immense. -
He's a very good league one player but I don't think he's as good as Connolly or Lambert and that's just at Southampton. I'm sure there will be a few decent strikers again next season who will score more than him. His goal tally was very good, I'm not knocking him I just don't think he has it in him to be one of the best two strikers in the league next season.

What makes you think Dickson is better than Harding? I'm sure he will turn out to be a decent signing but to suggest he's got the potential to go further than Harding is a bit strange, I mean Harding has proven he can cut it in the Championship, I doubt any of us have seen enough of Dickson to see if he's good enough to be a top CCC left back or even a Premiership left back which would be higher than Harding has played. Harding will be first choice with Dickson providing cover and playing in the cup games and the easier home games.
-
Davis, Harding, Fonte, Puncheon, Morgan, Lallana and Lambert will all be in with a shout if they can stay fit. Barnard isn't anywhere near good enough to be the second best striker in the league over a season, I have serious doubts he's the second best striker in our squad. Just out of interest who was the the LB in the team of year last season?

I think you're right mate, I went to the big screen showing of the England - Portugal game in 2006 and there where little pikey scrotes chucking full un-opened cans of coke into crowds of people, would seriously hurt if that hit someone in the head.

Finish second in our group and we will face Germany, don't really fancy our chances there.
