He said more grit and pace, we haven't got the perfect team no one has there is always room for improvement.

They need a Paul Scholes replacement. Carrick, Anderson and Scholes aren't good enough they need a genuine world class player in there. Wasting more money on a striker would be ridiculous since they never player two upfront in any big matches, which would just mean Rooney would spend half the season on the left again.
-
Fergie said he think he will be ok for next week.
-
Just finished watching the second half then
-
Fergie dropped a complete bollock bringing on O'Shea for Rooney, was over as soon he done that. he should have taken Carrick and Rooney off and put on O'Shea and Berbatov and stuck to the original game plan and hope Fletcher and Gibson can do enough in the middle. Basically playing 30 minutes with nothing upfront is just asking for trouble, Bayern had just far too much of the ball and as soon as Robben banged it in the tie was over, they where content to sit back. Fergie should take all the blame today.

"typical Germans, surrounding the ref"

They had massive gaps in front of Abidal all game, just need to get some decent players on the right and try to double up on their left back. Keep doubling up on the left back and man mark Xavi is probably the best bet, stop Messi from getting the ball by stopping the supply and hit them down their left. I wouldn't be suprised at all in Sneijder plays wide right for Inter in both legs if Barca continue with their current shape.
-
Well when they played Chelsea they played a more rigid 4-3-3 shape and Messi was wide all the time compared to now they play a slightly different shape. Messi behind the main striker, Pedro on the right and Keita or Iniesta in an attacking central role covering the left in front of Abidal. Makes it a whole lot harder to mark Messi when he pops up all over the place rather than a more traditional wide forward.

It's his work rate that does it for me, easily the best player in the world at the moment and if he can carry on this sort of form into the world cup he will probably over take Ronaldo and Zidane as the best two players I've seen play. With the form Messi, Higuain and Di Maria are in it's going to be hard for any country to keep them out at the world cup. Since he's moved into a more central position over Barca's last few games he's been unbelieveable... Can't wait for El Clasico on Saturday Higuain and Messi are two of the form players in Europe at the moment, should be brilliant. In the first leg where Messi was playing just behind Ibrahimovic he completed more passes than any Arsenal player which is just scary. As good as Messi was, Vermalaen is just an embarrassment of a defender, now way near good enough for that level. Two of the Barca goals where tanks to him running too high up the pitch tracking a forward who had dropped deep leaving a massive gap - he done the same against United and in both legs of the tie. He's fine on the ball but he's just not a good enough defender when he hasn't got Gallas next to him.
-
The best performance I've seen from a team defending Messi was Chelsea last season, although saying that he still got the assist to the tie winning goal.
-
Celtic are quite whealthy, it's Rangers who are in massive financial problems, they haven't spent a penny on transfer fees in 18 months now.
-
I can't stand the football but like the people I go with.
-
tbf style over substance is Arsenal to a tee.
-
I think Scotland have lost their second CL spot after the last few seasons so it wouldn't even be a CL qualifier, just a few games in the Europa League.
-
Probably his scouse missus
-
You lot really should be watching the Arsenal - Barca game rather than clinging onto the feint hopes of a play off spot.
-
Antonio doesn't score league goals!
-
Probably 35-36 for Rickie, 10-12 for Barnard and 20-21 for Lallana.
-
We signed Lambert from Bristol Rovers and to them 1.2m is a massive amount, I doubt they will sell another player for 1m+ for a while. Fonte was from a club in admin so they don't have much clout in transfer dealings. Hammond isn't even in the same class as Lallana, players like Hammond are ten a penny compared to Lallana.
-
We where just as bad at Brighton.
-
I thought we would be close to a sell out after the JPT win, strange one...
-
That's simply not true, where did you pull these figures from? Oldham, Southend, Gillingham and MK Dons where all 4-5-1 wins earlier in the season and some of the best football we've played all season. I agree with your point that we're better off playing 4-4-2 with our group of players but the stats you've posted are wrong.

They probably realised he was gash after his first trianing session.

Explains a few things I guess, I have heard Schneiderlin is the same...
