They had a **** load of half chances in the first half, there where no real clear cut chances in the first half for either side but Ipswich had more of the ball and had so many nearly chances. We where very lucky to go in one nil up. All changed in the second half when Barnard moved out wide and Lallana went into the middle and bossed the game. When we play good teams we have to play 4-5-1 even if that means leaving Connolly and Barnard on the bench we looked so much better in the second half. Just need to compare the Millwall performance to the Mk Dons performance - 4-5-1 suits are players so much better. If we can get a goal scoring midfielder in before the window closes then it will be even better. Pretty sure Lallana's future is in the middle, best performance in a while today in the second half. Hope he gets a chance to play there on Tuesday.

Arsenal away would be great, wouldn't fancy losing to the skates or a midweek trip to Tranmere.

Jaidi at the very least has to, If I was manager I'd play those three and Fonte. I'm sure Harding will understand he's being kept out of the side by a form player.

That's like asking how longs a piece of string. We should get 15% of the attendance , if it's a league one or Championship club you should get tickets easy. Premier league won't be so easy...

Not got much time to comment on todays game but Jaidi was an absolute beast at the back and just won everything, I can't wait to see him alongside Fonte on Tuesday. Easily our MOTM, Walters, Priksin, Counago, Collback etc none of them got anywhere near him all game. The two full backs had great game, Mills was brilliant in both halfs and should keep his place. Thomas with a quality strike and a few good headers. Those three where stand out for me, no one had a bad game but those three where superb, especially Jaidi.

I hope so, his future is in the middle imo. He's another player who looks a lot better in our 4--5-1.

He didn't say, just said something along the lines of needing another body in midfield because Mellis wasn't coming back. I was hoping we'd bring in an attacking midfielder but after the Stock link it looks like it will be another in the Hammond/Schneiderlin mould, agree that we really need someone who's going to bust a gut getting into the box not another deep lying midfielder.

Should have enough about us to beat Brentford and Stockport without him, glad he's back for the JPT game. Will miss him a lot tomorrow, we're not going to have much possesion against a Championship side so need to use the ball well when we do get it and he's our best passer of the ball.

Said he was looking for a Mellis replacement on Solent last weekend as well, would be nice to get a proper goal scoring midfielder in.

We can live in hope! But yeah no chance he's coming here. Maybe if we got promoted he'd consider it, otherwise not a chance.

There's no point bothering with him, he will just ignore your questions like he did mine earlier in the thread. His opinion regarding Schneiderlin was obviously based on last seasons showing and he isn't in any position to change his position and lose face. How anyone can rate Hammond above Schneiderlin is beyond me.

As long as we have pace in the wide areas it should be fine. Lambert, Barnard, Waigo and Lallana would be fine, replace Lallana and Waigo with Holmes and James and we'd lack any penetration. Personally I think when Connollys fit he will start, Barnard will probably end up playing more games. Can't see Connolly being able to play twice a week so I imagine they'll rotate a fair bit.

I really need to get into better shape, I play 5-a-side football two-three times a week, was considering joining a gym but I just don't think I'd go enough to warrant spending £30 a week. It's a shame there aren't any gyms where you can just pay per hour without having to sign up for a month or longer at once. Might have to just take up another sport - maybe hockey.
