OFFICIAL: Adidas announced as new kit supplier
Saint_Ash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
After dinner I did a sh1t! On a serious note, I have adidas trainers so I'm happy. I hope no one comes out and says we have a deal with adeeedas, hate that pronunciation. -
Was the 91m inclusive of all current playing staff wages as well as budget for purchases? If so that isn't much at all.
-
Snap their arm off for this if true!
-
Like the sash and unlike many others I really like the current home shirt, stripes are our most used shirt in times past but I don't see why we have to always have stripes, I prefer us to be unique whether it's with stripes or not.
-
true, shame really as he didn't ask for a ridiculous price to be on his head when he moved to Liverpool then to be ridiculed by all and sundry, everyone would struggle in the same position at such a young age except maybe the exceptionally gifted. I would certainty price him around the ten million mark though.

Really don't get with the Carroll haters, I think he's a decent player, a lot better with his feet than people give him credit for. If rickie retired and we got Carroll in I'd be well happy. Actually I'd be happy replacing rickie with Carroll next season as I reckon Carroll will be the more prolific and has the years ahead of him!
-
Exactly, we lose one player and the team crumbles, be it cork, Morgan, rickie or even 17 year old Shaw. Crumble.might be harsh but the point is we're a long way from a top eight squad, I think maybe four decent additions who are competing for first eleven could get us near the top eight. Nice info to hear by the way, ta.

Breaking news sky sports - Pochettino will leave if NC quits
Saint_Ash replied to Made in Southampton's topic in The Saints
It's not though is it? -
You play football to win stuff, not just the odd game but something tangible like a trophy, otherwise what's the point? Cup all day long.
-
What message does it send to other young players bought for the long term if we discard them after one season because they weren't consistently brilliant? Gaston will come good next season and be worth a fair bit more than we shelled out. I'm looking forward to his second season.
-
Not really, no. Don't have the time but if others do and know decent players worldwide then I'm happy with their judgement.

Tottenham 1-0 Southampton // Post-Match Reaction
Saint_Ash replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
You are a really boring and quite a sh1t wum. We dominated a team challenging for champions league who only managed to beat us in the dying minutes because the best player in the league scored. not sure what you have against our manager but you're a bit of an embarrassment and simple minded -
I'm sure we have better players lined up. Never heard of either of them to be honest until I saw them mentioned on here, we'll probably get a couple of other players I've never heard of instead. As long as they improve the team that's all that matters.
-
Stripes are boring, the top teams don't have stripes. We'll win more games without stripes. AA a side note, our kit looks smart.
-
New manager syndrome wearing off for Sunderland, they'll be lucky to get many more points. Newcastle are perilously close to the brink in my opinion, tough games for them remaining. We have no worries whatsoever. People who think all the teams below us will win whilst we lose every game are all a bit soft if you ask me!
-
Pretty much this, and I'd like see Martinez go to a decent club to see how well he does.
-
Wonder what the criteria is for nominations, disagree with some of those.
-
I'm talking about taking the opportunity to play in Europe if it's offered as it could be a while before we make it in the league not spending millions we don't have. There are no similarities whatsoever.
-
It'd be a laugh just playing in the qualifying rounds and having sterner matches than the friendlies. Two years ago we were playing league 1, now people are turning down a European adventure, I say take it whilst you can, no one knows for sure whats around the corner. I always enjoy being in a cup draw as well.

To be fair to the lad he wasn't redknapp's purchase so he'd have been frozen out a bit and ignored for the new apples of redknapps eye! like most people on this forum , even the ones who seem to know everything about him,I've rarely seen him play but would have faith in poch to bring in the right players that can suit our style
-
I think it's an interesting debate on how you class a manager to have been successful. Moyes is obviously a decent manager but has won nothing of note, one fa cup runners up medal but consistently does well in the prem getting into the top 8 for the last 6 or so years, personally if I was an Everton fan I'd have wanted more from moyes In the 12 years he's been at the club. On the flip side I don't really rate Di matteo but he has a champions league trophy for being at Chelsea for 2 minutes. Allerdyce obviously isn't a poor manager, he was one of the first to use sports science and all that jazz but I believe the way the game is changing is different to the way allerdyce likes to play. Be interesting to see how west ham do next season.
-
I very much doubt lallana would have stayed if we were still in the championship and a champions league side came knocking. Stupid comment.
-
So we want someone who's as good as cork and Morgan who's willing to sit on the bench just in case there's an injury to one of the players? Ok. If we get another player in that position it'll be because they're better than what we have.
-
Just because other players haven't broken their pre contract agreement doesn't mean it's watertight that Shaw will sign, hopefully he will but due to being a minor no contract with Shaw is currently legally binding. Roll on his 18th birthday and get him signed! I personally think he will.
