So we have one of our greatest results in recent history and matt still wants airtime to slag the Southampton chairman off to the listening public. It's sad really, there is a place in history for our legends but we're moving forward now, there's exciting times ahead and all this petty ****** isn't doing the club any favours.

The next two games will be tough, then we'll win a couple when others will struggle and we'll pull away again, no need to panic even if we lose the next two. I think we'll be ok though this weekend as the teams around us will lose as well.

My boss who isn't a saints fan but been to a few games slates rickie as a neutral, says he's too slow and no where near prem standard. Tried to argue but felt it was based on being biased. I tend to agree to an extent, we just aren't getting the ball into the back of the net often enough anymore.

Don't see the point of bringing cover, we'll only buy players that are good enough to be starters or at least challenge as a starter. I expect if we can't find that kind of player we won't bring in anyone.

football is a sport, it's not life or death, when you have real issues at home and want to escape into a plaything like football then all you want is to see your team win. Everyone involved in football except for fans are well remunerated. To me I want to see the team perform well on the pitch, I don't care if theres petty squabbles going on. This thread shows how much an adult acts like a child over a simple sport. Some people need to grow up and realise there's more to life than football.

Is the manager bigger than the club? Never. I really liked Adkins and the timing is pants but everyone will get over this in time. A positive result against everton will help. Lets get behind the new manager, even if we can't pronounced his name.

I think I agree with this. Initial reaction was aghast but this bloke has some hype. Is it any different to getting players like billy Sharp in to gain promotion then looking for something better. I love nigebut what's done is done now. I just hope the team spirit isn't ruined.

Thank god the players had more balls than everyone on here for the last few minutes. Massive result, didn't play well but got the job done. Glad boruc has come good, could be the difference of about 5 points come the end of the season. Hope the injuries increase our urgency for players in.
