Someone that expensive would want a club playing european football and 100k+ a week in wages so it I expect our highest spend would be no more than 25m, which is still ridiculous money for a club like us.

Our defence is actually ok, obviously would be better with VvD in it but we need someone who can do damage at the opposite end, I'd like Boufal to get a run but if sold VvD for 75m then try and get someone who can cause that damage up front, even if it means spending 25m+

Tend to agree with this. I know some people get some itk snippets from time to time but as far as I can tell Tom got the strike thing spot on and everything else was in the news before being said on here. Nothing against Tom but people hanging on every word he says is a bit foolish.

Thank you, saved me writing something similar to his waffle. I'm bored of people saying we won't attract the big players because of our strong position on VvD. As well as the points highlighted above it might do us good for the good players we have to see we have some ambition and won't bend over backwards at the first opportunity.

Last season Tadic had the ball and Austin took it off him when we had a pen, Tadic started getting upset and VvD, who was captain at the time, stepped in and took Tadic away. Austin then scored and went straight over to Tadic to do man hugs.
