  1. Not sure which side of the fence you're on there, but that sounds a lot like Pele to me. Him, Gillett, Thomas, Size and Perry don't take any prisoners. We'd do well to sign/hang on to them.
  2. No infractions, but I think we can do without his constant Hoddle love in on a thread which is nothing to do with it. A HCDAJFU thread or if Hoddle is linked with us then fair enough. Fact is he has had nothing to do with Saints for 8 years and the constant trolling is getting tiresome.
  3. Really? Sounded to me like he was just being retarded. Shame Fisi couldn't get ahead of Bourdais as the end.
  4. Dalek, give it a rest.
  5. Like we did you mean? I think Newcastle got their just desserts, simply because of how badly the club has been run. Terrbile managerial appointments and fans who fall out with them whenever it's not going their way. Appointing Roeder, getting rid of him when they were midtable. Keegan was a ridiculous appointment and always liable to walk out at the first hint of trouble. Shearer, a complete managerial novice and absolutely the last manager a club in a relegation fight needed. Alardyce, would have gotten them into Europe after a couple of years. Fans threw their toys out because they weren't playing pretty football. Souness, sacked when they certainly weren't in a relegation battle. Kinnear. Nobody's fault he left, but a crap appointment none the less. If anything, they deserve to go down for signing Barton. Hope nobody signs that tw*t.
  6. More to the point, why are we hanging on to so much of the garbage that got us relegated without a fight? As far as I can see, Rasiak, Saga and Skacel are the only first teamers Wotte is planning on leaving.
  7. Anyone remember a thread on a seperate forum a few years ago when Leeds got relegated to League 1? It said something like, 'post the name of your club here if you're glad Leeds went down' Went on to a multi-page list with about 90% of the clubs in the football league mentioned at least once, as well as a handful of none-league clubs, several continental clubs and even a few like Red Dragons, Boca Juniors and DC United. Wonder if the Barcodes will get a similar reception. I know a couple of delighted Villa fans at least.
  8. Yes!!!!!!!!!! :D:D Down they go. Enjoy your trip to Glanford Park!!!!! I know Saints and all that but :lol::lol:

  10. I think I speak for several people on here when I say, "come on Villa/Sunderland/Hull"
  11. There's only one Vicky Pollard.
  12. Shame, Scunny is much nearer my house.
  13. Another Monaco snore fest, but at least Jenson did what Hill and Mansell couldn't. @ Nakajima And running along the pit straight
  14. Hammy will also start from the back (or more likely the pitlane) due to replacing his gearbox after that shunt. Penalties aside, it's amazing how Toyota have gone from a front row lockout to a back row lockout in 2 races. Has there ever been a president for that in the history of the sport? Great for the sport IMO, especially with both FIs in Q3. Also with Nakajima 10th and Piquet 11th, a first corner pile up is virtually assured.
  15. Button actually fueled longer than Kimi, despite being quicker in Q3 than Q2. A sensational lap all in all. Lets hope it all goes smoothly tomorrow.

  17. Agree with that.:smt117
  18. I've been to the year 3000 Not much has changed, but they live under water.
  19. Great stuff. I just hope Kimi doesn't open a can of KERS on his ass down into turn one tomorrow.
  20. Not a great Q2 for Button.
  21. Hamilton, both BMWs and Toyotas out in Q1.
  22. Yep. Claimed the death of the player 'inspired' him to go on strike, even though he went on strike about 3 days before the player died. And the idea that bids were somehow hidden from Kenny is laughable.
  23. It's far from his first season playing in the first team. In 2006/7 he made 12 first team appearances for Saints and 13 on loan at Bournemouth. The season after he made 11 appearances for Saints and 18 on loan at Port Vale. He may have scored for the reserves a couple of years ago (and did get 6 goals during his loan at Bournemouth) but I would hardly call that proven. Especially when he has been unable to reproduce that form since, in the first team, reserves or at Port Vale.
  24. I don't think being pretty much ever present and taking 5 penalties, but only scoring 13 goals is that impressive if I'm honnest. It's not like he's that young either. I'm sure there are one or two 19-21 year old strikers at every CCC club. Most of them could probably get a dozen goals given the playing time he's had. I'm not calling for his head just yet, but I'm not that impressed either. I'd take any offers over £500 personally, although obviously the club would never say that.
  25. Why no to Pele? He was a class act as a holding midfielder. A dodgy centre half, so naturally Burley played him there as often as possible, but an excellent midfielder. An excellent ball winner, a reliable passer, very hard to knock off the ball. Some of our best results and strings of results came with Pele in midfield. The 4 wins on the bounce, the 4-2 win at Hull, Leicester at home and the playoff second leg spring to mind. I think a midfield of James - Pele - Gillett - Surman could potentially do alright in L1 next year.
