  1. You assume correctly. Someone said you score a good goal though. I'd take that at the moment.
  2. I actually thought it was going to be a close thing between him and Button after seeing Rubens' pace in the second stint. Then when he came in for his second stop I realised a lot of his pace was down to fuel and he didn't look remotely on the pace thereafter. A bit fortunate to finish ahead of the Red Bulls in the end I think. Luckily for Button, it seems Rubens is just that little bit too far past it to be challenging for the title this year. And it's a 1.4 Chevrolet Kalos. Doesn't sound like much, but it's double the engine size of my Matiz and has air conditioning.
  3. If you're refering to my post about McGoldrick, read it again.
  4. I hope this has clarified the situation for you.
  5. Missed the race as I was out buying a new car. Anyway, thought it was pretty good for Borecelona. Ponty was Nando the guy on the inside of Trulli coming out of turn 2, who pushed him wide onto the gravel? If so, I did get a glimpse of it on the aerial shot, but thought it was one of the Williams'. Good to see Button win again. Andrew, I have been a fan since he joined F1 but in the last 2 years there has been f**k all to talk about. Same with DC/Red Bull really. Great to see them coming up trumps again and Ferrari having another circus weekend. Ferrari lol moments must be getting towards double figures for the season now. Also I sense tension between Rubinho and the Brawn team post race. Rubens not happy with the strategy. Ross saying it was the quickest strategy, especially with the clear track, but Rubens was too slow.
  6. Sadly fans who reckon he might be good in a few years don't determine transfer values. I'm sure he could be a decent player in a few years, but watching him this season you can't honnestly say he was anything that special. 14 goals is respectable enough, but when you break it down... 2 goals in the League Cup against Exeter 1 goal was infact Lallana's 3 of them (including one against Exeter) were penalties. That leaves 9 goals from open play in some 45 full league games. A strike rate of 1 in 5 will not have CCC managers creaming themselves. Turning 22 in November, he's not all that young either. I just want to reiterate here, I'm not trying to slag the guy off and I hope we keep him, but £500k really is all I'd expect if a bid came in.
  7. No, I'd say that's about right. I wouldn't pay much more than £500k for a striker who played practically every minute of every CCC game and still managed less than 10 goals from open play. Rasiak may be proven, and I'd love to keep him, but I can't see us getting more than £500k for a 30 year old who has only managed about 15 goals in the last 2 years. It still astonishes me that people think we'll get millions for a load of sh*t players who got us relegated from CCC. People were posting lists of the transfer fees we could expect a while back adding up to over £10m. Personally I'd let 75% of the squad go for £1 if it meant they'd f**k off and weren't hogging the wage bill for next season.
  8. Never buy games when they are newly released. Paying up to £40 is a f**king rip off IMO. I'll generally wait until they are less than £15. On the basis of that COD:4 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
  9. Spain is generally a pretty boring race, but I'll watch it out of blind faith in the sport and because I'm a big fan of Button and Red Bull.
  10. You're thinking of Adam Hammill. And no, the Ifil here was Paul Ifil, much younger, only 1 'l' and now at Colchester.
  11. If someone can be arsed to trawl through the tedious list of ridiculous, seemingly infinite, HCDAJFUs that is going to appear on here over the summer, I will happily stick it on the main post. Any volunteers, please PM me. Your reward will be a pair of box tickets to AFC Southampton's first home game next season against Chipping Norton Athletic. Approx. value £2.36. You will also receive a free return trip in the SWF private jet, to a European destination of your choice. P.S. I was the person who said YCDAJFU on the Forum match thread.
  12. I thought he worked in his mum's book shop? Seriously.
  13. Not a patch on "TSF completes my life" IMO. Those guys were just ace.
  14. Latvian, so can play here no probs without a Visa now. Don't think he's made much of an impact at Derby. Maybe HCDAJFU.
  15. A mathematical equation for 'I ate all the pie' is the modern equivalent of typing 55378008 into a calculator. Or at least it was when I did A level maths. That was the best illustration I could find on Google.
  16. Just got this expansion pack for COH and whenever I install it, it uninstalls the original. Then when I try to play, it just goes straight to the online multi-player option, tells me to download several patches and wont let me access the single player options. Help!

If only there were a place where people could discuss pointless crap which was clearly just a waste of everyone's time...
  18. They can both leave as far as I'm concerned. BWP really hasn't progressed at all since he got here. Started off with something like 12 goals, then about 8 last year. This season he hasn't featured that much and has been pretty forgettable other than that one afternoon in Reading. Euell is just nowhere near consistent enough and the last couple of years has relied on a about 5 decent games to try and save his season. Has he scored at all other than the Ipswich game? We've just been relegated with a spineless side which would struggle to be midtable in L1, even without a points deduction. We need to do more than just release Saga and Skacel IMO. It's no wonder all the players say they want to stay, I doubt any of them other than a certain 3 or 4 would get into another CCC side. Next please.
  19. As a collection of buildings, it's not all that bad. It's just the collection of mongs you see wandering round the city centre that p*sses me off. Think we had the highest % of recreationaldrug users per capita a couple of years back too. Newark makes Lincoln look like Notting Hill. Did she get her tits out and start lezzing it up? If so rule 1.
  20. I don't disagree. Looked good with some fancy footwork at times, but ultimately flattered to deceive. That is how I perceive Lallana for much of this season. Not nearly as bad obviously, but no telling contribution either.
  21. Meh. This is going nowhere... I'll just clarify my possition, then that's it from me. 1. Skacel WAS a good left winger. Nowhere near the messiah some idiots on here were hailing him to be before he signed, but a good player none-the-less. He easily matched any of out other midfielder's contributions and I think the goals and assists stats for that season prove it. 2. Bale was far better I don't disagree, but your argument that it was just Bale on his own doing everything is ridiculous IMO. Especially when Skacel quite clearly did set up a few goals. Bale was a special tallent yes, but let's compare Skacel to say Viafara or Dyer on the right wing. How many decent crosses did they ever put in? You might as well claim Claus did nothing that season because Baird was so good. 3. Lallana is the future. Maybe. However he isn't the present. I was at the Reading game and yes he did look good. Was there any end product? Not really. Our first goal came from ONE brilliant cross from Lloyd James, although you seem to think crosses don't. There is a difference between looking good and making a contribution. Hammill looked good last season at times. Lots of fancy step-overs and fancy dribbles...didn't deliver a decent ball all season. BTW, I got the September thing from when he last scored. 14th september when we got hammered at QPR. 4. I keep stating I don't know who these pros are, but I will have to trust our scouts, our manager and his various contacts to find them. We can't just stick with the same spineless shower of sh*te we had this season, minus a few out of contract players. There is nothing more I can say about that.
  22. Lily Allen doesn't float my boat and bigger tits aren't going to help. Even though they probably would float.
  23. Your argument is inconsistent at best. I still cannot believe you refuse to give Skacel ANY credit for the partnership with Bale. If Bale is that good, how come Spurs couldn't win a domestic game he played in for over a year after he joined? (Yes I know he was injured for some of it). "He crossed a lot of balls and we scored some goals. But he still was not all that IMO" So why does this statement apply to Skacel but not Bale? Bale put a few crosses in and Kenny/Rasiak nodded a few of them in. Why were the goals he set up so much better than Skacel's? You say Lallana is decent right now. In what way exactly? He gets the ball, runs at players a bit and... Honnestly, the bloke has contributed nothing of particular value since September. Has he even scored or set up 1 goal since then? He has flattered to deceive big time. For 90% of this season, he has been no more effective than Hammill was last year. I reiterate: I'm not writing him off, he could be good, but he isn't right now and we need players who are. Maybe I should rephrase the bit about sliding down the Leagues... Nobody wants it to happen, but they are willing to blindly stick to formula which has already set us on our way.
  24. And Nicolas Parsons. And Abi Titmuss, she was from Lincolnshire somewhere. Edit: Ruskington apparently, about 10 mins from Grantham. Oh, and we had Beverly Allitt too. I was a baby in Grantham general whilst she was there.
