Euell missed a couple of chances against QPR, but other than that you can't really point to too many missed chances for either striker. If we aren't missing chances or scoring goals, clearly we just aren't creating enough. It certainly goes with what I've seen recently. Lallana has contributed fook all since September, Surman has played a couple of shockers and McGoldrick... you know the rest. I would give Skacel a go on the left, but apparently that's not allowed because he couldn't score 17 goals a season 2 years ago.

Why upset the defence even more by moving Size? The back 5 have been by far the best aspect of our side in the last half dosen games.

Surman seems to go off the boil in the second half of seasons for some reason. Last season under Dudd/Gormless and Pearson he was awful. In the second half of the playoff season he wasn't fantastic either. I want him to stay, because I still think he has a promising future. However he needs to improve. Playing alongside a bit lump of a defensive midfielder should get the best out of him, like Pele did at times. With him, DMG, Lallana and Schneiderlin however it's like watching a badly orchestrated ballet at times.

As far as I'm aware, no Championship teams have a duck costume as their away strip, so it's unlikely. * Don't give McGoldrick the gun, he'd miss. * If we shot an opposing player every time they were about to score, we'd run out of ammunition.

I think he needs some creativity in midfield to score goals. When he first came in on loan we were creating chances and he was banging them in. At the start of last season we were creating chances again and again he got a few. In the second half of the season we just lacked the creativity and Saga couldn't score. With Skacel loaned out, Surman awful, Dyer injured and Hammill eating pies, there was no width. Remember the West Brom game when we ended up stringing 4 central midfielders accross the park (Euell - II - Safri - Viafara).

I did say from midfield. Jesus, I am not saying he is our saviour. Just that whenever he has played a lot better in midfield in the past than our current shower. Still, why risk something which might not work. Much safer to stick with something which definitely isn't.

Skacel had 4. I thought Surman had too, but I've just check and you're right I missed out his playoff goal. One of them was a penalty though, which he'd never have taken if he wasn't on a hattrick against Barnsley.

Skacel - Nobody scored more goals OR assists from midfield than him in the playoff season. By far the best player on the park in his 2 appearances in midfield last season. McGoalkick - Couldn't hit a cows a*se with a barn door. Surman - Not happening for him at the mo. Lallana - Has contributed the square root of f**k all, to the power of 2, since about September. Schneiderlin - Injury-prone, goal-shy fairy Not even worth a try?

and we fell from 4th at Christmas to about 9th with 3 games remaining in the season. You're forgetting this was Burley's team. Rasiak lost his place to Leon best. Saga lost his place to BWP after scoring 13 in 16 starts. There is no way Skacel would be a worse AM than McGoaldrought.

According to Hopkins, Skacel has been the worst player on the pitch in every games he's played this season. Either he is Derek Riordan or he just has some weird obsession. In a game where we kept a clean sheet and had, by the sounds of it, two shots on goal, I struggle to believe our left back was the main instigator.

We just don't Seem to have any sparK in midfield. If today's game was, As it sounded, an even more boring copy of the Derby match, it's just hoofball. There's no Creativity there. We need someone in midfield with a bit of flair. An experiencEd player who can lead the younger lads. Someone who can put a decent cross in and chip in with a few goaLs of his own. If only we had a player like that.
