Agree completely with this bit. Personally I'd never ignore anything I thought was racist, homophobic or otherwise inappropriate. With only half a dosen mods and several thousand posts a day, there's a fair bit that gets through the net however.

Yeah, I've been bitten by a snake twice. Painful and a small amount of blood, but it doesn't bother me. Had a medical check up a few weeks ago, the doctor made a tiny pr*ck with a drawing pin sized needle and 5 minutes later I was kneeling over his toilet. Random sh*t sets me off.

That underlines the problem. The posters who are in some opinions 'abusive, racist and homophobic' are the same that are championed as being 'interesting' and 'different' by others. Naturally blantant abuse is frowned upon, but then there is a massive grey area between that and a completely sterile environment.

TBF, Oakley was pretty pants in his last season with us, then lead Derby to promotion the following season. Schneiderlin and Morgan were both poor in our last CCC outing. A fresh start and a new team could do him the world of good. If not, well it's 1 month so it's not the end of the world.

Went last night but didn't have chance to post my thoughts when I got back. In terms of the quality of the play, we aren't there yet. There were some very good passages of play from us, especially the one leading up to the goal, but they were too sparse to really get hold of the game. At times we seemed to lack ideas, especially when Lambert was up front alone. There were some promising signs, it's just not there... yet. There's no point saying, "even Exeter beat Yeovil FFS!" either. West Brom just won at Arsenal, who's your money on for the Champions League spots? Don't forget it wasn't until this coming weekend last season when we finally clicked under Pardew (4-1 win over the Gills), and he'd had much longer in charge by then. Lots of possitives though: - 3 games unbeaten now - 3 games we haven't conceded from open play - Guly looks like he's starting to come good - 4 points from 2 away games. - Bournemouth near the top and we've already beaten them comfortably this season. Once we get our mojo back properly, we can beat anyone.

Burley played him pretty much none stop and by the last 3rd of the season he looked knackered and his development seemed to be going backwards.

It give him a break tomorrow and start with either Dickson or Holmes on the left. Then we've got Lallana and AOC as two fantastic options on the bench. Don't really want to be piling 3 games in a week on him or else he could end up like Bale in '07.

I got pretty good at a game called Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2 ages ago (It was based on the 1997 season to give you an idea of how long ago). Had it on the PC with a racing wheel and pedals. Was an excellent game for it's day. I always seemed to kick ass at Jerez and especially Magny Cours.

Appreciate your comments TO, although I think you're being a tad biased with your 'equally poor' view of the game. I think Saints were clearly the better side. Not great, but definitely worth the three points. In the first half we created some excellent chances from open play, which on another day could have yielded at least a couple of goals. All Wednesday seemed to have were set pieces, which seemed in limitless supply from Homer the ref. Second half was a similar story, but we seemed to grow in confidence after we scored and kept the ball well in Owl territory. Apart from the two shots, in what seemed like the 8th minute of injury time (despite no injuries), there really wasn't much from Wednesday. I try to be as honnest as possible and will readily admit when a team has equalled or bettered Saints, but Wednesday just didn't.

Cautiously optimistic. We've been steadily improving in terms of both performance and results since Adkins took over. Our last 5 games 0-3 0-2 0-1 0-0 1-0 Based on that logic, I'm going with a 3-1 retro style win.
