    F1 2010

Wont be satisfied unless I see 4 muppets stood on the inside of Raidillon taking a photo. Will try and get a copy tomorrow and give you a "race" if I'm not working. I'm fairly crap with most PC games which involve skill and coordination, so please be patient. I've got F1 championship edition on the PS3 which is from the 2006 season. Haven't played it in months. Have a look at the 2006 F1 season on Wiki and tell me why I was p*ssed off with that game.
  2. Not his biggest fan, but a very good game yesterday IMO. Kept their strikers quiet for the most part, although Morrison gave him a couple of problems. Most of Wednesday's attacks were set pieces, especially in the first half, which is a credit to how well we played as a unit, as well as the individual players. I'd have Fonte back in for Jaidi, but give Seaborne a decent crack at it along side.
  3. Watched the goal updates from our 6-0 at Molyneux (and a few others) on my laptop whilst living just outside Phoenix. That's about as far as I can think of distance wise. Listened to the commentary online from our 4-1 at home to Southend on the final day of that season whilst lying in bed as the game kicked off at 7am.
  4. That's brilliant. Except it wasn't what you posted at all. You just wrote the word "allegedly" then stuck a list of things which are supposedly going on. Your perception of my legal knowledge is fairly accurate. However even I know the allegation you made about manicures constitutes a missuse of company funds. You can't just throw allegations like that around on the internet.
  5. Just back from the game, have to say it was a brilliant result against a very poor Wednesday team. They were as bad as we have been for the last few games and as I was walking past reception on the way out, there was a massive protest against the board by a couple of thousand Owl fans. We played rpetty well overall. Not brilliant, but there was a lot of the good stuff we got used to last season coming back into our play. We created a lot of chances, had shots on goal and defended fairly well. I think a decent team would have got a goal or two against us and given choice I'd still have Fonte back in for Jaidi, who looked slow despite a strong performance. Wednesday had chances, but most of them were from set pieces the ref seemed all too happy to give. First half I though he was just going to keep giving free kicks until they scored. Second half I though he wasn't going to blow full time until they scored either. They had two shots at the end excellently saved, but a draw for them would have been an absolute travesty of justice. As for the players... Davis - 8 A few excellent saves and saved our arses at the end. Butters - 6 Had a solid but unspectacular game. Looking forward to Richardson being fit if I'm honnest. Jaidi - 7 Based on 5 in the first half, with a few mistakes, and 8 in the second when he won quite a few headers. Seaborne - 8 Very strong defensive display. OAC - 6 His pace is useful, I'd have him on the bench when Lallana is fully fit. Hammond - 8 A great battling display and some good passes. Morgan -8 A class act today. Fought well and an excellent assist, robbing the Owls player and laying it off for Barny. Puncheon - 6 An average Puncheon display. Was creative, but guily of trying to do too much at times. Lambert - 5 He's just not at the races and looked lazy at times. Barny - 9 MOTM. Worked his socks off and a goal was the absolute least he deserved. Subs: Lallana - 7 Looke dquality even in that brief cameo. Dickson - n/a Not enough time to judge Think someone else came on in injury time, can't remmeber who but they never touched the ball. Harding Adkins - 9 He has them looking creative and motivated again. The confidence is coming back.
  6. The whole point of the HCDAJFU thread was to seperate the wood from the trees. That thread have over 3,300 replies in a couple of months. I'd take a guess at that being something like 2,000 odd players being mentioned. If you can imagine people starting a couple of dosen threads a day about players who have nothing to do with Saints and probably never will, then trying to find the 1 thread about a player who has actually signed. I'm not sure what you're on about with Lambert. Whenever a new player is signed there is always a thread started about it by someone. Here's one about Lambert for starters. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?15744-Lambert-Biggest-Name-Signing-Since
  7. Not quite sure why people are so willing to blame this board for the quality of content. The rules are pretty much the same as they have ever been. Anything you wanted do discuss 5 years ago, you could discuss now. The difference really is the club. Since the takeover last summer, there has been no threat of administration or liquidation, no takeover rumours, no evil pantomime villain chairmen and far fewer ITKers. It also seems a couple of you are looking back on the past with the very reddest of rose tinted glasses. The posts and poster no being championed as "interesting and controversial" were viewed by many at the time as irritating and nonesensical trolling. Nobody has ever been infracted for being interesting or controversial. Those who have been banned were banned because they repeatedly broke the rules. There is nothing, within reason, which you can't discuss on this board. Stop moaning and start being interesting.

Not sure why I'm responding to such a stupid argument but... Wales the 84th best footballing nation in the world, just behind Botswana. A quick glance through their U-21 squad on wiki reveals players from footballing giants Wrexham, Rotherham and Kidderminster. Sorry, but that level of quality just doesn't guarantee a possition in Saints first team IMO.
  9. I knew schools were overcrowded but Jesus....
  10. At least I've never been told to get off a plane in the middle of the flight for mouthing off at the cabin crew. LMGTFY... Will a video do? Shot that a few months ago, same part of the world.

7 assists from the guy that took most of our set pieces isn't all that impressive. I'll struggle to forget the trip to Oldham last season when he just jogged casually back towards our goal as an Oldham player ran past him and scored. That, the Norwich penalty and several other instances of being too slow and or short have lead me to the conclusion that he isn't good enough.
  12. Just ordered my tickets for Wednesday and Tuesday. Two new away grounds for me, quite looknig forward to both of them, assuming the team actually turns up this time.
  13. Davis Butters - Fonte - Seaborne - Harding Judy - Morgan - Hammond - Dickson Lambert - Barnard
  14. I've seen two game from Pulis. The first was in the reserves against Swansea in November '08. He was playing along side Thomson, Wotton and Gasmi in midfield and they all outshone him. The second time I saw him was against Reading when he managed to get a shot into the family enclosure in the Kingsland/Chapel Corner. I wouldn't have minded so much, but we were shooting towards the Northam end at the time. Maybe that last sentence isn't true but the point remains. Pulis is awful.
  15. So.... Last season we made a terrible start and ended up being the second best team in teh League over the course of the year. This season we've made a very similar start and the best we can hope for is midtable? Sound logic. We're 9 points off top spot. Are you saying that there is no way we can win 3 more games than Huddersfield in the remaining 39 fixtures?
  16. We were 3 points off second place and played a second string team in the penultimate game at Gillingham, knowing there was nothing to play for. I'm not saying we would have definitely won that under different circumstances, but it's quite likely.
  17. Kelvin will bite the ball, then run the length of the pitch with it in his teeth and lunge into the goal net... at home to Walsall.
  18. That's how long it was since we last played Colchester at home. The result... a 0-0 draw. It was the 5th game in a row Lambert hadn't scored from open play. We had yet to win a League game all season. We won just one of our next 4 games. We were in the relegation zone. Things were looking really bleak and there were already some whispers of Pardew out, yet we went on to be the second best team in the League over the course of the season. Just to put things into perspective.
  19. Well, surely that was an improvement?
  20. Drastic times call for drastic measures...
  21. Over to the match thread please.

Used to watch it on and off and thought it was pretty good. Clever at times and certainly keeps you guessing all the way through the episodes.
  23. Well obviously he isn't.
  24. Normally when I start these threads we do alright, so here's hoping. Saints Line up with Davis Butters - Seaborne - Fonte - Harding AOC - Hammond - Morgan - Judy Lambert - Barnard Subs: Bart, Jaidi, Dickson, Holmes, Pulis, Doble and Guly The bench looking a bit erm... well Pulis is there. Other than that, good to see Barny back. Come on South Coast Team!!!! W00T!!
