  1. You've made a good start by copying his hair style.
  2. No. Unless it was self defence and your mate was genuinely afraid for his life. Yes, she deserved prosecution too, but hitting her just made them both wrong.
  3. Oooh, I can't believe you took that bait. Dalek's "Hoddle is the Messiah" complex is the oldest worm in the box.
  4. Okay, two points... 1) Why, for the love of God, can you lot not have one thread which doesn't resort to personal point scoring? On this of all subjects. These arguments are like the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still a retard. Just DON'T reply to posts if they upset you. 2) There are enough threads on Markus' passing already. It's a valid point RE: Cortese, but it could be quite easily posted in the existing tribute thread. If you genuinely want to express your condolences to Cortese, why not write to or email him.
  5. Interesting story. Reminds me of an old joke which can be modified for this scenario... Markus arrives at the Pearly Gates after passing away and is greeted by Saint Peter, who says, "Welcome Markus! You're just in time for the Saints all star heaven match." He gives Markus a copy of the team sheet, who looks at it and reads some of the names, 'Manager Ted Bates... Peter Osgood... Alan Ball... Steve Mills... Matt Le Tissier... Bobby Stokes'. Markus pauses for a second and says, "Hang on a second, Matt Le Tissier isn't dead." St Peter rolls his eyes and says, "Yeah I know. That's just God, but he likes to call himself Matt Le Tissier."
  6. Your tallent is wasted on this forum.
  7. All my moments are a bit more recent and a lot more naff. That I can remember... Camara scoring against Norwich - Going balistic in my bedroom in Lincolnshire. Getting relegated against Man Utd - In the living room on a lovely sunny day, but feeling like sh*t. 6-0 win against Wolves - The day after I moved to Phoenix, sat in the Lounge at goodyear airport watching the goals fly in on Sky sports website. Everyone was wondering why I was cheering and laughing my arse off. Playoff semi at Derby - In a plane somewhere over the Arizona deserts. Left the airport 1-0 down to Darren Moore's goal, thinking it was all over. Got back to find out we'd lost on pens. 4-1 defeat to Palace in '07 - Similar story. Watched us go 2-0 down, Saganowski got one back. Left for a flight thinking we were back in the hunt. Got back and it was 4-1. 3-2 win against the Blades to stay up - In a friends car as we were driving through Northern France from Calais to Amsterdam. Managed to get 5 live on long wave. Went nuts when the final whistle went. Markus passed away - Just sat at home chillin'. Andy Porter told me it had happened on Facebook messenger. Then there's Colchester away last season, when I didn't have a clue where anything was.
  8. Was out running through Bristol at the time they were kicking out the Millwall fans. Large herd being Shepherded through the centre of town. Didn't see any violence as such because there was a small army of Police lining the streets, but there was a nasty atmosphere. Somehow ended up in the middle of a group of Millwall fans, then suddenly one shouted, "City fans!" and they all legged it down the street after them. Nasty atmosphere.
  9. Heard a story about a prison tattoo artist who when asked for skulls/knives/guns etc. to be tattooed onto inmates backs, would draw Winnie the Pooh instead. Not sure how long he lived.
  10. I think Lucy Pinder is probably the highest profile of all our fans. At least she is if you look at her sideways on. Thankyou, you've been a wonderful audience.
  11. I'd expect Saints to win that one in all honnestly. Yes they beat us twice last year, but we were sh*te in both games and they have lost a lot of players since then. No fear, no negativity. I know the focus should be the league, but there's no reason we can't win the JPT along the way. How many times have Man U, Arse and Chelsea done a League and cup double? None of them have a squad of 50 players. I hope we d*ck them in revenge of last year.
  12. I wouldn't have Niemi or Killer in there. They were both pretty good, but neither was really at the club that long and there weren't too many special moments. Niemi had his triple save against Arsenal, but neither really came close to the likes of Le Tiss or Pahars when it comes to special moments. For me Pahars, Benali, Le Tiss and Beattie are the only 'legends since about 1990.
  13. I couldn't make it tommorow as I was working, however I am off on 15/9. Erm... Thanks Markus I suppose
  14. I have Triffids in my garden. Helps control the local cat/pikey population.
  15. I wonder where this will all end. Reckon we'll get to someone on £1m a week before one of the muppets in a possition of authority says, "hang on this is f**king ridiculous" and finally imposes some form of wage capping structure.
  16. I'd say North and West Mainly.
  17. I've spent a year thinking Markus was too good to be true and there must be some sort of catch. Sadly there was. He was the perfect owner in most respects. Being up to his eyebrows in cash is always a good start, but he seemed to care deeply about the club, it's future and the fans. He wasn't some soulless, faceless Middle Eastern consortium who just wanted a play thing to show off to their mates, before f**king off and leaving us with massive debts and a huge wage bill. He cared. At Wembley he was stood there smiling taking pictures with his digital camera, just like every other fan. He was one of a kind and I doubt we'll ever get an owner that good. Don't think it's really OTT, just a LOT of people with strong emotions.
  18. Not sure if there are any star gazing types out there, but there are some amazing meteor showers over western Europe at the mo. Well worth a watch if you're not in an urban area and fancy a nice relaxing view.

Ah, but mine at least had words to go with it. How about: "Markus Once Owned Saints, Everyone Show Him Incredible Tributes"
  20. Kind of gotten over the shock, now it's mainly just sadness and trying to make sense of it all. Every now and then I wonder about what it means for Saints long term, but just can't get my head around it. My brain is starting to fill with questions. Who will take control? What are their plans? Will they sell up? Will they carry on? If so, will they have the same vision of Markus? Will it be worse/better or different?
  21. Some sort of montage, like we had after Bally passed away would be pretty good IMO. Might be tricky to organise, but would look great if we could fill the ground. Have a Swiss flag in the Chapel and "Thank you Markus" written in the Kingsland".

If you're worried about the acronym, we could go with, "Markus' Inspiration Never Gonna End," instead. Just trying to lighten the mood a bit.
  23. Good grief, what finishing school did he go to?
  24. You have to be thinking of Jan Paul Saeijs surely?
  25. Pretty much exactly the way I see it. I've just added one word to your post. Respect to MK too.
