I've got a yellow anaconda which could eats rats, I'd recommend them. Think I mentioned him on a thread about moles a few weeks ago. This isn't mine but you get the idea:

I've seen that exacmple banded about, but it really wasn't the same. Hamilton was clearly ahead before a badly timed safety car period ruined his strategy. He was on fresh tyres and had just been dropped from being in the lead to about 6th. It would have been just plain foolish to let him sit there on fresh tyres. It goes back to one driver not compromising another's strategy. It was the same at Canada in 2008 with the BMW's. Heidfeld lead on a different strategy to Kubica. Had he not let Kubica through, RK would have finished about 15th. As it was he was able to stretch out a big enough lead to win the race after his stop.

That's a myth. For a start Heikki was seldom in a possition ahead of Hamilton in the first place. Secondly I can't remember him ever letting Lewis through for possition. Giving one driver a preferential strategy or asking him to let a team mate through because his strategy is different and will therefore be compromised is one thing. Telling a driver he has to move accross because they want the other driver to win is quite another.

Can't be arsed to upload the picture, but we've all seen it... A certain 2-0 Carling Cup victory against a certain club 7 years ago. Can't really think of many goal celebrations that were that interesting. Jones did a few flips etc. Pahars once leapt into the crowd at the Dell after a last minute equaliser against the Scousers. Skacel had an interesting celebration which I never quite understood.

I don't normally bite, but in this instance it's quite funny. Let's have a look at the Pompey team who achieved aforementioned glorious victory: James - Gone Belhadj - Gone Hreidarsson - Just turned 36 Diop - Gone Utaka - Best hope he had a relegation wage cut clause in his £80kpw contract. Mullins - Decent enough NPC player O'Hara - Gone Wilson - Who? Yebda - Gone Basinas - Gone Dindane - Gone Saints on the other hand have lost our 5th and 6th choice centre halves, Waigo and Antonio, from that game.

Joel Lindpere was one of my HCDAJFU a while back. Looked like one of Estonia's better players against England in THAT Euro qualifying campaign. The other decent looking players from Estonia were Raio Piiroija, CB for Fredrikstad in Norway who goes to training on a boat and Sander Puri, now playing with none other than our very own Rudi Skacel at Larissa in Greece. They could all DAJFU. P.S. Who else thought Griffit was the next big thing and has been wondering what might have been ever since?

Euell was a complete donkey during his period here. His scoring record must have been close to 1 in 10. He only scored 5 goals in 2 years anyway. You can't say he's not 'that type of striker' either, because he was a useless lump when it came to build up play. I'd take Vassell though. Thought he looked a useful player and wouldn't be surprised if one of the newly promoted Prem sides took him. Can't see him coming here.

Kieron Fallon anybody? It's not an identical situation as I doubt anyone at Ferrari was betting on an Alonso win, but it's still race fixing.
-
The difference for me is that in you're hypothetical situation, nobody is left feeling robbed. If today's race had been the last race of the season with Massa completely out of the championship, then I'd have said fair enough, that's common sense. I wouldn't have expected anything else. Today was just such a let down in terms of the spectacle. Maybe if you don't feel passionately (not you personally) about F1 you aren't as bothered. But for mugs like me who sometimes spend hundreds of pounds going to a Grand Prix weekend, it just ruins it.
-
That's a completely different situation. If there's a world championship resting on the result of that one race, and the other driver has nothing to fight for, it make sense. Everyone going to that race would know Mclaren is going to put it's eggs in Jenson's basket. All the Lewis fans would be expecting him to have to play the team game. No mug in their right mind would have put money on Lewis winning the race. It has arisen before in 2007, whereby Ferrari gave Raikkonen a favourable pitstop strategy to get him ahead of Massa. Fans and gamblers alike were robbed today. It was a complete fix. Can you imagine if Saints got paid £5m for every game they lost. Would you go to Saints games next season knowing they were just going to throw the match if they were winning?

I remember her from Ali G in Da House. Very nice.

Who's surprised? Doesn't make it any more acceptable or less irritating for fans like myself. I'm planning on going to the Belgian GP in Spa a month from now. I hope to God Ferrari aren't dominant come then. I don't want be sat on a cross channel ferry thinking to myself, "I can't wait to find out who comes third on Sunday". That's what this is about. Blatant race fixing.

Sorry everyone, we can only afford to pay you a quater of what we actually owe, not much we can do about that. Now I must dash, we're all off on a 15,000 mile round trip of the US and Canada... Serves the f**kers right.

Discraceful really it's one thing telling two team mates who are following each other not to challenge each other in the closing stages. It's quite another to tell one driver to move over and let someone through. If one driver has been superior up until 10 laps to go, I think it's fair enough to say, 'job done lads, both of you ease off and lets make sure we bring home the points.' Ferrari are just saying, ' Fernando wins the race' and expecting the fans to be content with that. Don't forget people bet on F1 races the same as any other sport. People will have won and lost hundreds of millions accross the world betting on todays race. If it happened at a horse race, those concerned would have been banned for life.

Please keep HCDAJFU on the HCDAJFU thread. Ta

That looks bad on them (the clerics and the frogs) more than anything else. Glad we haven't banned them.

Fake, it's two people in costumes.

Today is the 23rd and it's also a Friday. Therefore I'd say it's a pretty good bet we will have some more news at 2323 this evening. I'm going to go with squad numbers being released.
-
Actually last summer most Saints fans realised we had a massive rebuilding job and coupled with the 10 point deduction, would be satisfied if we avoided dropping to League 2 and built a good squad for this year.
-
Myth. We've had a few decent games when he has been missing, like the JPT final for a start. We've also had a few sh*t games when he's played. A very good player, but not an irreplaceable messiah IMO. Still, at least we're disagreeing on something.

The F35 will be superior in every dept apart from it's lack of vertical take off characteristics. The harrier is limited in this capability in terms of payload anyway, worse so in hot and high climates such as Afghanistan. I'm sure you can find a role for the harrier, but to me it seems like an unnescessary cost. It's extremely slow compared to most other combat aircraft too.

Last year it was on the 23rd I think. This year the 23rd happens to be on a Friday too, so that lends extra weight. 11:23pm on Friday... watch out.
