  1. Have I missed something here, I thought you could sell players at any time but you could only buy players when the window was open. Hence Pompey could already sell players to clubs in Russia or Ukraine for example, but not to any English clubs.
  2. What about the car battery?
  3. ***Don't forget the clocks go forward 1 hour on Saturday night*** Getting excited now. WWW0000000000TTTTTT!!!!!!!!
  4. And I'm sure fans will hate him for it. Agree with this sentiment.
  5. What gave you that impression? Perhaps, but all games have dull periods where nothing much happens for 5 mins. The Pompey chants make us look sad, obsessed and bitter.
  6. I quite like that chant actually. It's not: A) About Pompey B) Sung at 100mph
  7. That'll do pig.
  8. I think the playoffs are pretty much guaranteed now. We can focus on Wembley.
  9. Hopefully I will never be in their shoes. However if I were, I personally wouldn't feel exectuion was an easy way out. See your point too, each to their own.
  10. Outrageous. They will be wanting to vote next.
  11. Sometimes I combine all three. It's the absolute business.
  12. Yes, Safri did something similar a few years ago, getting booked the match before the ACON I think. Me, I'd rest everyone possible today and play a team something like: Bart James - Seaborne - Perry - Mills Antonio - Wotton - Gillett - Holmes Waigo - Barnard It may not win, but I wouldn't risk Rickie missing a Wembley final on the off chance we can knock a couple of points off a 13 point deficit. That team could beat Hartlepool anyway IMO.
  13. Kevin Miller now playing for Bodmin FC. It's all gone wrong for him.
  14. More recently of course, Matt Patterson looks likely to be playing League 2 football next season. Shame, after the Millwall game on the opening game I thought we were on to something there.
  15. Which is bigger; infinity or infinity plus one? There is nothing to be gained from keeping him alive.
  16. Was never that excited about Folly, but Griffit and Sparv are definitely on that list. Nathan Dyer deserves an honourable mention. Championed as being as good, possibly better, than Theo in the youth team Swansea is a tad disappointing. Can't really call that not making it though, as they are above Saints. Also Andrei 'Shev' Pereplyotkin - Couldn't get a work permit, moved to Skonto Riga, spent last season on loan at Derby, made little impact. Craig Richards - Vaguely remember he had a bad injury before he was released. Apparently now at Lewes.
  17. If you just want a player who can keep the ball and pass it sideway, we should bring back Jermaine Wright *shudder*. Morgan however has a lot more to his game and is a lot better than he showed on Saturday.
  18. Some of the arguments on here just aren't stacking up IMO. Far less hoofing... but both goals from open play were set up from Davis. Our playmaking midfield played brilliantly... but didn't actually create any play.
  19. Robbie Savage who was in Man Utd's youth team before going on to play over a decade in the Premiership for Leicester, Blackburn, Birmingham and Derby and is now their current skipper. Nobody is going to be spending £1m at his age, but he is a decent CCC midfielder. Appart from being 0-0 at half time? Actually that's where two of the goals came from, the other being the penalty.
  20. I know it probably would in the current system, but it shouldn't. There is something wrong with the system if it would cost more for a Judge to say, "hang the fecker" than it would to keep them incarcerated for 50 odd years.
  21. I don't really watch many football league games other than Saints, but just off the top of my head... Danny Guthrie, Joey Barton, Alan Smith, Wes Hoolahan, Glen Snodgrass, Chris Brunt, Robert Koren, Giles Barnes, Matt Oakley, Lloyd Dyer, Paul McKenna, Gary O'Neil, Jobi McAnuff, Robbie Savage, Lee Hendrie.
  22. Don't miss them. Wasn't owrking out here, they felt the need to move on. Never disgraced themselves, good look to them. Haven't a clue how they're doing. He is good most of the time. His passing helps create chances and he provides a vital link in midfield. He just didn't yesterday. We did yesterday. Think that's taking it a step too far. There are far better midfielders playing outside the Prem than Schneiderlin.
  23. I love how people make this claim without actually having any concept of what lies beyond death. The two most widely held beliefs, based on very little, are the religious fate of eternal damnation, or the atheist fate of eternal nothingness. Can't really say there's an upside to either of them myself. Personally, I'd happily see him executed. Life in prison is just a complete drain on society. I think most people would be happy enough with one less evil in the world.
  24. COYR etc. Result is pretty much irrelevant, but a few more convincing wins will boost the confidence ahead of next season. I suspect a few players will have one eye on Wembley and not getting worn out or crocked. I will therefore go with 0-0.
  25. We had a poll about this around the halfway point. Pretty much a dead heat between DC against Norwich and Rickies free kick against Tranmere. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=18814&highlight=goal+season+connolly I smell another poll...
