Seems a weird accusation to throw out there, especially as these two people weren't involved in the trial and wouldn't have been privy to all the evidence. Anti-Americanism... I guess only the judge and jury will know that. As far as we're concerned it's pure speculation. Can't think of any particular reason why the Italian's would be anti-American, especially since the is a significant Italian population in many East coast US cities. Generally I don't agree with the "American's are stupid" stereotypes. Most people get that impression from people like George Bush and Britney. It makes me shudder to think who foreigners get their idea of British people from. Gordon Brown? Simon Cowell? Sends a shiver down the spine. They do have their moments though in fairness. I remember shortly after 911 a "suspicious" package was discovered on a street in NYC. It was detonated securely, but later turned out to be a tortoise. Then their was the unidentified aircraft which was tracked on radar moving towards The White House. Caused quite a panic, fighters were sent up and it was identified as a large cloud (I have heard stories of missiles being fired at it, but that must be bullsheet).

Robinson Green Foster Johnson Richards Ferdinand Terry Upson Jagielka Cashley Lennon Beckham Gerrard Lampard Barry Carrick Cole Milner Rooney Crouch Defoe Heskey Beattie He's gonna have a brilliant second half of the season and net 20 goals for Stoke. If not, Bent.

Beattie managed 23 League goals in 2002/3. Rasiak managed 19 in the playoff season. That's about as good as it gets since '93

U know what, i mite dance us to the championship - lol x

May I suggest you've had a slight head start? -
I take it you will be leaving immediately and never posting again then.

It is not 'likely' they will promoted either. They have an outside chance of making the playoffs, along with every other team down to about 20th. As I said, to make the playoffs, we will need to average top 2 form over the season. I can't think of another team in history which has won 1 of their first 10 games and finished in the top 2 of any league. You will understand if I consider this a long shot. I would consider a day out at Wembley and a trophy equally rewarding and far more plausible

They took a few tentative steps in that direction with the XB-70 prototype. The "Valkyrie" was a bomber designed to fly at 70,000ft at Mach 3. However the development was quickly surpassed by Soviet high altitude anti-aircraft missile technology and the Mig-25 Foxbat interceptor. After a U-2 was shot down over Russia, the yanks pretty much gave up on the project and switched to much harder to counter, low level bombers. It wasn't anywhere near as fast as the Blackbird, but even at Mach three it was pushing the limits for altitude, effective payload and delivery systems, not to mention budget.

23 points in the last 10 league games. If we continue that form over the rest of the season, it would put us in 6th in last season's table with 81. Doable, but a very big ask to maintain this form for that many games. To put it simply, if we maintain that form, but with ONE draw instead of a win, we would miss out. COYR!!!!

We easily got the best out of Beattie too. Not to mention Dean Richards and, thus far, Gareth Bale. Lallana ye' be warned!

If you can find me a bookmakers offering evens or shorter on Saints to get promoted, I will eat a sleepy village nestling in the Derbyshire countryside. Possible? Yes of course, but catching up on the sh*t teams at the bottom is the easy bit. You seem to be forgetting that, even in spite of our fantastic form over the last 10-odd league games, we are still 9 points off the bottom playoff spot. We have only gained one point on the playoff teams after starting 10 behind. Our form is great, I am loving being a Saints fan, but I am not about to get fixated on promotion when it is going to be a monumental uphill struggle. To get into the playoffs we will need to average automatic promotion for for the season. I can't think of a team which has ever won 1 of their first 10 league games and finished in the top 2 of ANY league. The JPT hypothesis is like asking would you rather nail Kelly Brook senseless or have a few lagers in front of the TV. We all know which we'd rather do, but come 10:30 this evening will you be heading for the fridge or boarding a plane to LA?

Another bonus, at least we wont have retarded opposition fans saying "they're in the bottom 4 for a reason FFS!" any more, after we hammer them.
-
Yes.

Probably, although that was at the start of the season when we didn't have Lambert, Connolly, Hammond, Waigo, Antonio, Jaidi or Trottman, Jaidi couldn't hit a barn door and we were 10 points adrift at the bottom. If you want we can dig out the "we will walk this league" threads from 05/06, 06/07, 07/08 and 08/09.
-
I know, I was saying as much on the prematch thread. We need teams like Norwich, Bristol, MK Don's etc to be losing. I'd rather be stuck in the bottom half until March, then go flying up into 5th place in the last few weeks.

Morgan seems a bit 'Steffen Freund'.

Great sub IMO.

Let one in Let one in Let one in Edit: Done it already.

Need a dump. Better be 1-3 when I get back.

More of the same. COYR etc.

'ave it!!!!!!!!!!!! @ Soccer Saturday. "No taking the pass"

Sort sighted IMO. We need... Leeds to beat Huddersfield Hartlepool to beat Millwall Colchester and Bristol to draw Oldham to beat Norwich Yeovil to beat MK Dons Orient to beat Swindon Would put us 13 points of third and 9 off the playoffs. To have any chance of promotion we need the teams at the bottom beating those above them. It keeps the table tighly packed, so if we keep winning we could find ourselves jumping from 15th to fifth in less than a month.

Cortese offers you £5m on Jan 1st...what would you do?
Arizona replied to SaintBobby's topic in The Saints
True however... We regularly get 20,000 through the gate. When I went to Oldham they had a little over 5,000. An extra 15,000 people paying on average £20 a ticket for 23 home games is another £6.9m. That's just a theoretical number, but even if it were half that, it's still a lot of extra cash coming in for a L1 club. In terms of income we are the Man Utd of L1.
