  1. [video=youtube;JnaGs-r0zzU] This has been bouncing around my head all week, love Metric going all the way back to Monster Hospital years ago. New album this year hopefully!
  2. I get that, but our contract offer has been on the table for many weeks now so he can't complain about being rushed into anything. I want us to keep Cork but if he's got his concerns about staying with us I would rather he decided now so we have enough time to get a replacement in if needed, whether that's Vilhena, Clasie or whoever.
  3. Alright chaps, Looking to get a holiday booked for this summer with some friends (male and female) and looking for somewhere hot with good nightlife. Been to Sunny Beach a couple of years ago which was great, although we want to try somewhere different this time. Being that we're all pretty young we're not flush with cash so Ibiza is out of the question. Anyone got any suggestions for somewhere to have a look at? Was having a browse and Ayia Napa seems alright, wondered if there might be somewhere i'm missing..
  4. In a way i'm quite glad we're out of the cups now, gives us a chance to concentrate on the league. Been saying this for ages now, but we play in domestic cups every year - we probably won't have as good of a chance in a while as we do now to qualify for European football, and that really should be the primary objective. We can go for the FA Cup next season after we get knocked out in the Preliminary Round of the Champions League
  5. Although I don't really care about the cup this season, I don't want to give that c*nt Pardew anything to gloat about.
  6. 3-2 Palace. FFS.
  7. 2-2, Sanogo. Sounds like we're all over the place defensively...
  8. Palace have got a very solid set-up - 4 big lads at the back playing flat, pace in the middle of the park and 2 more big lads up top. Typical Pardew. OWN GOAL! SCOTT DANN! 2-1 SAINTS!
  9. 1-1, Chamakh. Sounds like this could be a bit of a ding-dong...
  10. Pelle from a free kick! Get in!
  11. Sounds like a great atmosphere, hopefully the game is as good!
  12. I'm assuming that guy is Max Brooks - son of Mel (Brooks that is, not Mel C). Writer of the excellent Zombie Survival Guide and also my favourite book, World War Z which was horribly adapted (and I use that term very loosely indeed) into a film by Brad Pitt. I'll weigh in on the gun issue as well while i'm here. Guns make me feel incredibly uneasy and in my view they shouldn't be in a civilian setting. The whole argument about civilians being armed to protect themselves against the government is total bullsh!t too, it's just a way for conspiracy theorists to have something to keep them company on cold, lonely nights in their tents in the mountains. Although an M16 doesn't look very comfortable to spoon with.
  13. Also watched Birdman recently and can confirm that it's f*cking brilliant too. Oh, and I saw Fury too which was good. The end.
  14. Mostly agree, although Letters From Iwo Jima is sublime. Far better than Flags of our Fathers (which was another Clint film about the same conflict but from an American perspective), and in my view it's up there with Saving Private Ryan as one of the best war films.
  15. Fonte has been incredibly consistent and is still a key player for us, but it has to be Lambert. Without his goals we wouldn't be where we are today.
  16. Nope, only produced for today's game. Shame because it's f*cking great!
  17. I take 100% credit for introducing SaintsWeb to Calexico. You're all welcome Also speaking of wanting bands back in our lives, I was listening to these earlier. Discovered them playing in the Lock Up tent at Reading one year, absolutely mental gig. Caught their penultimate set before they split at Reading in 2008, mosh was very intense to this one! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lBhVJzF_QE
  18. Harry was excellent today, very impressed with his performance. As mentioned above he did look better once Cork came on to play the holding role as Reed lacks a bit of the physicality to play deeper like he was asked to today. Great energy, put himself about and didn't stop for 90 minutes. Not quite heir to Morgan's throne but definitely a good option in the midfield for games like this that were played a lot in the middle of the pitch.
  19. Just back from the game - great result! Very pleased with the 3 points considering all the players we're missing. Can't wait to see where we go from here, we're in such a good position now. A note about the atmosphere in the ground as well, it was incredibly edgy. Newcastle fans very quiet and got angry very quickly against the ref and our players (which seemed to spur Tadic on tbf!). Seems to be a lot of discontent with them at the moment. I'd like to see them succeed, good club with a big fanbase that deserve to be higher than they are. Dream scenario for them would be for Ashley to sell the club ASAP and for them to get a good manager in to steady the ship and build a good squad, because their team was packed full of sh!te today.
  20. Keiko Scott M.D.
  21. That was the last thing we needed, annoying to be without Big Vic now given how pivotal he's been for us recently. Hopefully Corky can get himself back fully fit now and slot back into place.
  22. Well, if they're keen then maybe they can chuck Jovetic into the deal. Jovetic + 10m should do nicely...
  23. Completely agree. Seeing Saints in the CL would be the highest point in my time as a Saints fan, even if it's in a qualifying round. Still have fond memories of the Steaua game. FA Cup happens every year - we may not have this kind of opportunity for CL football for a while after this season.
  24. Didn't know that! In which case, JWP right and Tadic left.
