Our problem is not having clinical strikers, and Benteke squanders so many chances. Ings would be good but agree he doesn't really fit into our style of play. It's up to the black box to find our best option I think!

I can definitely see Davis playing, not sure why people are dropping him for this when he plays such a vital role in our midfield. Vic back in the team to track Matic and provide a bit of protection for Targett.

Looking forward to seeing what this guy can do, but it's a shame to lose Mane just as it looks like he might be coming into a patch of form. Hopefully he can have a good ACON and come back to us a better player while Elia keeps his spot warm for him!

Any news on tickets for this? Or roughly when the details will be announced? Manure tickets on sale and this game is 6 days after, but not heard a peep yet...

Bamford would be interesting - I was at SMS when he completely destroyed our youth team when playing for Nottm Forest. Chelsea signed him about a week after that game. Seems to have done well in the Championship so far, would be tempted to let him have another season at that level before bringing him into the squad though, and he would need to work on the physical aspect of his game to cut it in the Prem. Lambert, however much I love the guy, shouldn't come back. He moved to Liverpool for sentiment, so playing time shouldn't really come into his career decisions too much.

Have to say i've not listened to a lot of new music this year, but Twilight Sad, Eagulls, Sharon van Etten and Alvvays were some of the best I listened to. Will have to use this thread as a to-do list..

ALF has done f*ck all at Cardiff since he moved, and we have Seager coming through who is a similar type of player. If we're looking for a striker I would rather see us go for somebody who can play a similar role to Rickie used to play, dropping deep and linking up play because Pelle seems to be more of a line-leader.

Food for thought for Ron I think, we have some very good wing-backs at this club so this formation seems to suit us. Won't work against every team, but good to have options.

Because he's raising valid points about the flaws in our governing system that affect us all. People are far too focussed on who's saying these things as opposed to what's actually being said.

Don't forget he's just come back from a pretty lengthy lay-off. We've seen him score goals and provide assists for Saints & England youth for years. Not the finished product by any means, but give the lad a break..

Absolutely awful. Not seen us play this badly for an extended period since the Adkins days. Something needs to change before the Everton game.
