  1. You're right, if only we could go back in time and not sign that journeyman Lambert...
  2. F*cking nora!
  3. Nothing will stop me fapping to that, Bearsy. EDIT: FFS, now I look like copycat.
  4. I think Artur is an excellent keeper, but FF is the long-term option. He's clearly not happy to be 2nd choice which is understandable when he's clearly good enough to be 1st choice, but that's the role that the club has in mind for him. It would be a shame to see him go, but it's going that way so better to get it sorted sooner rather than later.
  5. Kelv, you must spend a bloody fortune on gig tickets! Wel jel.
  6. Nobody thinks that was actually posted on your Instagram Artur.
  7. Oh, come on Irene.
  8. At the end of the "broadcast section" they move on to "written press", you can hear Jordan Sibley saying that before they turn the cameras off. The bit we see is the bit they'll broadcast on the TV so that written press can ask different questions and get different stories than what we'll see on SSN/OS.
  9. History repeats itself... Transfer Thread Part 3
  10. I hope we don't sign Townsend. If he was from Belarus, people would say he's gash. Not the kind of player we need imo.
  11. Looking at our current defensive options I would take Micah Richards on the proviso that he played CB predominantly, he'd also be a very good RB to have if Clyne got injured. Obviously wages would be the problem there, as well as his patchy injury record but he is still a very good player and one that would've been established in the England team by now if he hadn't suffered so many injuries imo.

  13. Agree with others who have said it, Long to come in for Davis with JWP dropping back into Davis' role in midfield - thought he was great when he dropped back there in the 2nd half. -------------FORSTER----------------- CLYNE---FONTE---YOSHI----BERTRAND -----JWP---WANYAMA---MORGAN----- TADIC--------PELLE-------------LONG Subs: Boruc, Hooiveld, Stephens, Cork, Taider, S.Davis, Isgrove

  15. He's just being lazy with his predictions, it's flavour of the month to take the p!ss out of us at the moment - i'm sure after a couple of wins the media will be praising Koeman for the rebuilding he's done where before they were cracking wise about whether we had any players left... FWIW I think it'll be 2-1 Liverpool. Shaky start though.
  16. My thoughts exactly - or Villa if they get taken over.
  17. Still a better love story than Twilight.
  18. Agree 100% - he's got attributes that we lack in a striker and one who will endear himself to the fans with his work rate. People are getting too caught up on fees, with the money we've earned from player sales and tv deals this season we can afford him, especially with Sharp off the wage budget too. Welcome Shane!
  19. Omg reunited that's soo cute! Did you bond when someone in a football shirt asked the barman for a hot dog at half time, and Turkish rolled his eyes at you?
  20. Some thoughts on those above - the Long deal doesn't really represent bad business when you look at the alternatives.
  21. I like how you were crying about us not spending the money that we've gathered from player sales this summer, and as soon as a relatively large sum is about to be spent on a player you're questioning whether it's right to be spending that amount on someone who's not a guaranteed starter. Plus, I highly doubt he will cost £12m, probably more like £9-10m.
  22. Has a decent record with pretty much every club he's been at, although he's more of a player that will cause defenders trouble than an out and out goalscorer. More a Lee Barnard than a Billy Sharp. Wasn't particularly easy to score goals in that Hull team last year, not much creativity around him. I think he'd do well in our team - funny that people are writing him off before he even thinks about pulling on the shirt.. You're right, but will they want to play for us or play in the Prem? We could sign a good striker for £15m and get a good season out of him before he f*cks off to Liverpool or City or somewhere just like this summer. Would rather have somebody with a bit of loyalty - Long's played for a couple of clubs at this level and by the sounds of it he's looking to settle. Plus, looking at the likes of Kozak, Cornelius, Karagounis, Aspas, Van Wolfswinkel, Osvaldo and Soldado having the reputation of a "quality striker" in Europe doesn't necessarily mean they'll be any good in this league. Long has the right attributes.
  23. Seriously, what will it take to please you lot? Long is about the type of player we can attract at the moment, it's not like every player will be falling over themselves to sign for us with the reputation we have built up this season. He'd be a good signing as a rotation option and has proven that he can score goals at this level unlike Ings (although i'm sure he will) or some random from a European league.
  24. Long would be a good signing I think, proven to score goals at this level and is young enough to be part of the squad for a while. Offers something different to Pelle and Gallagher too.
  25. I grew up watching films like Hook and Jumanji - they formed a pretty big part of my childhood. Later on I discovered some of his stand-up and the more dramatic roles he played in Good Will Hunting, and one of the most underrated films of most recent years (imo) World's Greatest Dad. He'll probably be remembered as a funny guy, but he was a brilliant actor too - without the ego that usually comes with a talent like his. A supremely talented guy, who seems to be universally liked. It's just sad that his demons got to him, and he won't be the last. RIP
