Congratulations, you got the joke.

^^^^^^^^ Post of the week. Trousers' I mean, not Glasgow's. It's nice not having to read what GS writes, the Ignore function is pretty handy.

I like the look of Nelson Oliveira, who's playing on loan at Rennes. Similar to JayRod in his style of play, but he's very effective off the shoulder and has a nice finish on him. Worth a look, as he's been loaned out by Benfica for the last couple of seasons so we might be able to pick him up for a steal!

I'm bored, so thought I would have a glance at KUMB to see whether i've managed to single-handedly inspire an anti-hoofball revolution with their fans - alas it seems I haven't been successful. How surprising, a West Ham fan talking about the 1966 WC. He is correct in that hoofball was quite prevalent back in those days, but so were communism, The Munsters and unshaved bushes. The world may have moved on since then, matey. I had previously written out a quite lengthy post about degrees of certainty in life, but I figured I could just cut out all the waffle and sum it up in one sentence. (Some) West Ham fans are f*cking clueless.
-
**********MLG ALERT********** I see that the West Ham fans are trying to suggest that we have no grounds to criticise their hoofball because we play, on average, the joint highest number of long balls per game (70) in the division, while West Ham play 67 making them a whopping one place below us on that stat. We also play 447 short passes a game on average compared to West Ham's 274, and average 58% possession while they manage 42% a game - but obviously those stats aren't relevant. The important thing to remember is that we're not collecting the ball outside our area and hoofing it in the general direction of the striker like West Ham, Sunderland and Villa generally do. The majority of our long balls are down the channel from one of our full backs, or from a deep midfielder/defender taking the ball over the halfway line and playing a diagonal into the area. Fonte tends to do that quite a lot, especially if we're pushing for a goal late on. We're not afraid to play a long ball, but it generally won't come from deep inside our half unlike West Ham's. *Waits for somebody from KUMB to pick up on this post and call me "typical arrogant Saints fan"...*

They picked up on my quote from another thread - apparently only having one song that you sing once every 45 minutes means you have "tradition" and "history". Something that we clearly don't then...bunch of f*cking mongtards.

This basically. As long as he stays away from the footballing side of things, surely having a a well-respected guy with close connections to the owners helping out behind the scenes in whatever way he can will only be a good thing?

I'm a Scotland fan, and I think with the team that Strachan is putting together we might actually have a chance of qualifying from that group. It will be incredibly tough given that we'll more than likely be competing with Ireland for a play-off/best placed 3rd spot, but I reckon we can do it. Euro 2016 qualification was our aim when Strachan took over, and even though it's a tough group, I reckon it's very achievable.
-
Same as the Sunderland game - had the chances to wrap it up but lost to the team that are better at putting theirs away. I swear I hate West Ham as much as the f*cking Skates now. Such a f*cking indictment on football with their f*cking hoofball and their one c*nting song.
-
20 shots, 4 on target. F*cking appalling. We need a striker in the summer, 100%.
-
Yes, definitely. Ah, fair enough. From memory I thought it had sold out.

It's not financially viable for me to attend cup games as well as having a Season Ticket and also going to away games at the prices that this year's cup games were at. Low attendances were also down to the draws not being particularly glamorous - look at how quickly our FA Cup game against Man Utd sold out in the L1 promotion season - a couple of days wasn't it? And the game against P*mpey too, which shall not be mentioned further. If we had drawn bigger teams and the tickets had been more fairly priced, we would definitely have drawn bigger crowds. With the cost of supporting a Premier League team though, it's no surprise that many of the "regulars" stayed away from some of the games we've had in cups this year - especially in the earlier rounds.
-
Where are they going to put all the extra fans tempted in by this scintillating offer? I thought all the seats in the Fatpipes Arena were taken by Season Ticket holders?
-
I got 71%. Not too bad I guess.

I don't think we've met the killer yet - if this whole thing is connected to some kind of devil worshipping cult that involves "top brass" it's probably not just one guy. Unless it's the future version of Marty's youngest daughter? She plays the utter psycho child Lizzie in The Walking Dead.. Probably the best writing i've ever seen translated to the screen though. People talk about The Wire being written like a novel, slowly unfolding, but this is some next level sh*t yo! I lol'd at that line. The show is actually really funny at times too, Marty's seething anger at finding out his daughter is a slut was darkly humorous.
-
There's so many details that get thrown around that you have absolutely no idea if they're relevant or not, which keeps you guessing. It was funny how Marty just blew that guy away though when he found those kids.

The saintbletch "Hilarious fun with words" thread

What does any of this mean? -
The club is no longer run FOR the fans...............
SuperMikey replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I see the morons are crawling out of the woodwork again. We lost one game in the cup. Yeah, we had a decent chance of getting to the final, but the team we put out should have won - the loss was down to a really poor performance and missing some gilt-edged chances. It's f*cking laughable that people think Poch should make a public apology, and even more laughable to suggest that a squad rotation and a defeat means that our owners don't give a f*ck about the fans at all. We really do have some proper planks among our fans... -
You're right, I am a horrible product of a Sky TV generation. I truly don't know the meaning of the word football. Alternatively, you can look at what I said as a way of looking back over the last 22 years of the club's history and drawing a comparison between then and now. However, you're clearly just in it for the wind up and it actually makes me feel a bit sorry for you that you have to go onto a forum to try and pick fights to entertain yourself. Haven't you got a wife and kid? Maybe your time would be better spent with them, pal.

I didn't say that we were going to match our best league finish ever, did I? We're on course to match our best Premier League finish.
-
It's not the 80s anymore Turkish, no matter how much your faded Adidas and receding hairline might want it to be. We play in the Premier League, not the First f*cking Division.
-
Very disappointed in the result and the performance, but before the Yeovil game I wasn't bothered about the cup anyway. It is a little odd that the coaching staff didn't fancy giving it a real go in the cup this year having reached this stage, but it seems that we're going to focus on getting good results in the league instead. Quite funny seeing the reactions of some on here though, you would've thought we'd been relegated again. We're still on course to match (if not maybe better) our best ever Premier League finish with a talented, young squad - definitely a damn sight better than we could've hoped for this time 5 years ago.
