I think you mean 'A draw Away to West Brom (8th), would be a bloody good result'.

Looking at our performance in isolation...
Guan 2.0 replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Wow. So in your mind, pointing out any of Nigel Adkins numerous successes in the last two years, or the fact we're ahead of schedule in our 5 year plan by three years, is akin to excusing the abominations of a calculating child molester? You chat some proper sh1t on here, but I think you've outdone yourself with this one. -

I like this. If you block out reality, Adkins should be sacked with immideate effect . Can I also suggest we 'forget' the back to back promotions? That should add another few to the 'Adkins out' bandwagon! -
Summary of Nigel's Post-Match interview after Leeds

Or the fact they have a very different calibre of youth and reserve players? Jesus wept, this place after a defeat... -
How many tactical mistakes is Adkins allowed? (Part 2)

They have insider info and were definitely not just on the wind up. -
I missed that - what did he say?

How many times has NA been fined or banned as a result of his post match interviews? Or singled out a player for criticism?

Where is question 11? "Have you seen my spoon?"

He seems pretty positive here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2223495/Jason-Puncheon-says-Southampton-dressing-room-right-Nigel-Adkins.html [h=1]Adkins the right man to lead Saints' fight for Premier League survival, says Puncheon[/h]Of course, there’s always going to be speculation when you’ve started the season a little slowly but this is a manager who has guided the club back to the Premier League and he’s focused on the job he needs to do,’ said Puncheon.‘The players feel the same and we all support him. We’ve got to get on with the games, work hard and start picking up the points.’ As is barney: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20094671

Harry Redknapp to be named manager within 3 weeks
Guan 2.0 replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
The man who reads between the lies to see the truth spouts the biggest lie of all. Anybody with half a brain knows this to be a lie http://www.thesaintshub.com/marcelotejera.html about a very dodgy transfer , and anybody with the memory or will to remember will know that Redknapp was persuing over the summer Clinton Morrison (£500,000) who said in the press he would only move to a london club near his home, and Robbie Blake (300,000) who wanted a move in the north or midlands. Because of his laziness in looking for targets (which summed up his time here), we ended up with fuller via Mckay, and Tajera via Mcmenemy junior. Except that didn't happen, because you told us so and we're all mugs. I don't quite know what you get out of spamming the threads with your attempt at revisionist nonsense. -
It isn't untenable, but for some reason, there are posters on here who would like to give the impression that it is. Once the polls on here and in the echo made it clear that NA was still the favoured man, and new tactic emerges where certain posters commit hundreds of posts to the same subject over multiple threads, twisting quotes, extrapolating from rumoured gossip to make unsubstantiated 'facts' and for whatever reason, stifle true debate and instead paint a picture of 'SFC in crisis'. It is very odd.

I wonder what part of Redknapps previous tenure here convinces certain posters of his suitability now? I can think of these positives:
-
17th and a cup run was always good enough for me in our first season back. Others may have wanted more, but that's enough for me. Depending on how we play the rest of the season, I might even keep Adkins if we go down. Mcmenenemy relegated us before promotion and the cup win. We've been spoilt by a manager who earned his shot, and has worked his way up through the non-leagues. He has delivered back to back promotions over two seasons at the first time of asking. He has us playing attractive football (if somewhat open). Yet some on here want him sacked after 8 games. 8. What a ****ing joke. Do people think that is truly a 'fair crack of the whip'. Who should we appoint? Steve Bruce? Mick Mcarthy? Harry dickhead Redknapp (The amnesiacs and Tvvats favourite. Little clue, he was a bungy manager then who didn't give a sh1t, nothing has changed now). Oh and just because the same posters make 100 different threads on the same subject, does not mean the 'silent majority' want him gone. It just means you're making a circle jerking 'echo chamber' of "sack the manager" that nigh on 70% (comfortably over 2/3) of users who want Adkins to stay on here can't be bothered to get into, beacause you'll just bore them to death by spamming the threads.

Le Tissier: "Cortese is not a nice human being"
Guan 2.0 replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Someone then said to Matt that there wouldn't be a Southampton FC without Cortese, to which he replied:he trai Are Cortese taking down the picture of train from doncaster? For shame. -
Marcelo Tajera When we had no money, good old 'arry wasted 100,000 on a player he would never pick, and was available on a free transfer (Mcmenemy's son was the agent). Harry is a Saint A major South American club has admitted to The Independent that it received £100,000 from Southampton for a player who was actually available for nothing, in a transfer that has been reported to the Premier League's ongoing "bungs" inquiry as "suspicious". So ****ing dodgy and wasteful, at a time we had so little.

Let's dig him up and ask him, shall we?

They badmouth him in the press? They jumped in the bath and made the bubbles laugh? Who knows? -

I'm just hoping that Matt is silently sitting in his chair on saturday with a look of mirth on his face as once more, Jeff Stelling launches an attack against Cortese on his behalf, including: Peeing with the door open Not holding a lift Being a bad man Those are always good. "Now then, now then, let me tell you about a very bad man" Seriously, if he has something worthwhile to say, he should just say it. If he is hiding behind the shield of 'not wanting to damage the Cortese/ the club/ whatever' that is nonsense, as every negative report gives off a bad impression, so at least give it substance if you are going to criticise, and not just continue to insinuate that Cortsese is an Alien from They Live. "Be sure to eat the program sellers after firing them" -
this. Out loud (just to be clear, the comment, not monkey chants).

Just annoys me when the uninformed use that as a headline for reason he should be Prime Minister. And he tries to take credit for it too! Almost as bad as the "He's a legend for the tackle in the Germany game, Boris for PM" crew. It makes you wonder how far John Major would have gone as PM with a bit of charisma. Or at least if he hadn't wasted all of his 'charms' on Currie.

Nice to see them using Ken Livingstone bikes.
