I meant Sunday, obviously.

There is one strategy that might work... Instead of allowing focus to briefly touch on one aspect of protest, make it multi-factor. The sky cameras are there, and need to fill time, before and after the match next Saturday. 4pm is prime time on a sunday, so the world will be watching. This strategy also allows for people who wish to protest in different ways. First of all, for those that wish to boycott the game. Wouldn't have to to be a million man march, but if you could get 1000+ fans turning up outside the stadium from 3pm onward, and handing out 'pellegrino must go/Pellegrino out' A4 banners/chanting against MP (while not intimidating anyone who wouldn't take a banner, otherwise club would just shift focus to that), sky would be straight on it, as would BBC, in their pre match coverage. If they stayed outside and sung throughout the match while spurs tonk us, even more so. And if they are still there even after the match, joined by fans who have just witnessed us lose again, what an impact. For those attending, anti MP songs for those to wish for him to leave of course, also A4 banners (easier to conceal). I've asked a friend more skilled with photoshop to knock up 5 designs for a preview on Tuesday (for example #LoveSaints but i'm not down with the clown, Pellegrino Must Go, with MP in clown makeup). The cameras will eat this up, and could also be used throughout the 90 mins and be half time talking point. Again, no intimidation to fellow fans who don't join in, or the whole thing falls apart. At the same time, saints fans on the web could flood social media with posts on the subject with the #PellegrinoMustGo . Phone ins/HYS beofore the match on BBC solent, 5 live, Sky, Echo etc all dominated by saints callers and texts. I've also asked my friend to knock up gifs/videos with stats on our terrible Manager, to show why we are protesting. But this is just my idea. If fellow Saints fans are interested, let me know.

15 Matches left. 15.

I Could see that team winning 3-1. We will most likely lose 2-0. If so, The board have to sack Pellegrino. Even amongst his few supporters on here, a cup run was held up as a reason to keep Pellegrino around. If we lose to Watford in both league games, once during their dodgy patch, then we won't beat them in the league. No point in prolonging his tenure after that point.

Portsmouth fans. Fans of other teams in the bottom half.

To the tune of 'Lord of the dance' "Pell-egri-no, it's time for you to go, Just leave quick, please don't make it slow, Leave by boat or plane, we don't care how, Are you listening Mr Gao?"

He was here, flew off, stayed away during our terrible festive form, and flew back completely out of touch with the fans mood for the 2nd of January interviews, which were tone deaf and have left the club scrambling for good PR #LunchWithPlayers. And as you've alluded to, yes staff have been hacked off with a lack of communication/refusal of funds for projects over here, where the club is, compared to money earmarked for various investments far afield, which take up large amounts of attention from execs and get immediate answers on decisions, as opposed to several weeks wait for 'home' procredure.
-
You spout some rubbish on here mate, everyone knows you need to perfect the terminology of the five pledges before you can address on-field matters.
-
So, as everyone can see I have been very harsh and unfair in my representations of the board, they are bloody hard at work sorting out our situation. And not on meaningless PR guff, either. While some 'fans' (let's face it, probably pant wetting panic merchants), are concerned that we are only above the relegation zone on goal difference bottom of the so-called form table, Ralph has the terminology of the pledges on his desk. ON HIS DESK - SO STOP MOANING. Now all he needs is a month to undergo the torturous process of altering 20 words using grammarly (it ain't easy being a chairman of a small club) before releasing the final proofs and jetting off for another 3 months. Which will completely revolutionise our tactics and positional sense on the pitch. I mean, if we get the document out in February. We 'probably' will. But you've got to understand, 30 days is a tight turnaround time for a couple of pieces of A4. As you can see, this resolves the issue with the team management and club direction, so stop your talk of social media disruption and chanting against the manager and board, and get behind the team FFS you bunch of crybabys. It's worked for 22 games so far!

The trouble is at the club, people have roles and titles, and then actual functions. Too many people filling in, ad hoc powers, and excuses for poor institutional structure and communication. It's why they fear the brand being attacked, it's an empty shell now, with only the slogans projecting any sense of coherent planning. A long distance from when we were being mentioned as pioneers of structure (in the football world at least).

If you see a club going from an organisation with clear responsibilities, to one with blurred lines of communication and passing the buck, from one where excellence is sought to one where inadequate replacements are installed, and any criticism is muted, because it might damage the public image of the clubs 'Philosophy'. One where the execs travel abroad during the season to promote 'Excellence' at management conferences, while the running of Southampton FC is treated as an optional dilettantery pursuit one need not attend but but twice a year, you may also grow a little weary. And i have seen the knowledge that the fans will 'take it' grow and grow. I said before the Everton match (in the twitter post you mention) that a win would paper over the cracks, and that by the new year we would be in relegation form, in or just above the relegation zone. And here we are, 2nd January 2018, bottom of the form table and only out of the relegation zone on goal difference. It's not rocket science. This managed decline of saints fc is taking place and in Kreuger and a few others eyes, as long as the saints fans turn up, sing to cheer on the team and only tweet bad things after a loss, we are still very much on brand with our message. Now i'm not saying saints fans should run onto the pitch and attack the players, as happened tonight, that's as pointless as it is wrong. But instead of trying to cheer the team onto a win/draw that will only buy Kreuger and Pellegrino more time to wreck the club with equally vapid sheep, turn your voice on the management on and off the field. call for their jobs in the first half, tweet everyday (and yes, the words associated with our hashtags do mean that much to them). Kreuger felt comfortable making that cowardly statement after jetting in, because he knew there would be no audible or visible backlash. If i sound bitter, it's because i'm a Fan of a club which is being run by people who view it as a secondary distraction, on which they can experiment which various blue sky situational concepts. But if you want to turn up to Fulham with a song on your lips as Saints struggle to a 2-1 win that will secure MP's job until after the January window (inevitable OS article - Pellegrino: We've turned a corner), feel free. After all, #WeMarchOn (down the table).

Installition of magnifying glasses around St Mary's as part of Ralph's pledge to make our tiny club bigger. #BestChairman

If we have to wait weeks until Ralph Kreuger deems it time to return to the country, while we freefall into bottom of the form table and 2 points/places off the relegation places, that is a bad situation. If we have to wait weeks until Ralph Kreuger deems it time to return to the country, while we freefall into bottom of the form table and 2 points/places off the relegation places, only to spout a load of meaningless waffle and blame everything on VVD, that is a terrible situation. If we have to wait weeks until Ralph Kreuger deems it time to return to the country, while we freefall into bottom of the form table and 2 points/places off the relegation places, only to spout a load of meaningless waffle and blame everything on VVD, says it's all good and we are a tiny club pluckily punching above our weight (but below the giants of Burnley, Leicester, Everton, Watford, Huddersfield, Brighton, Newcastle, Bournemouth), xcliams Puel did a great job and last season was great, but doesn't say why we sacked puel, ignoring the fact that we are much worse now, and finally, that the manager isn't responsible for mismanaging the team, that is a untenable situation. I've seen lesser men recruited to replace successful individuals at every level of the club over the past 2 years, while those who have lingered have grown complacent. Use the VVD funds to pay for a round of layoffs, unless the fans are happy with club figures flying in every 3 months to tell us all the sh*t sandwiches they're trying to force feed us taste like strawberry. Win or lose tonight, they need to go. ***** Maurico, ***** Ralph, and ***** anyone at the club who enables them and their 'Found our level' mentality.
-
Very clever from the club. Relieve the pressure on the club, by making a batsh*t crazy move that will stop people talking about MP, and instead focus on the the latest piece of blue-sky thinking from the club. Now the fans will be too busy to call for the managers head on live TV! Good work, sirs.
-
I've never been so excited by the signing of multiple talented sicknotes since the halycon days of Ripley and Hirst.
-
If saints fan want to tip the 1 or 2 members of the hierarchy that are still in favour of Pellegrino staying, we need to be slightly less nice. The players and management at the moment know there is no real punishment for faliure at the moment. If, however, after the first goal for united against our shambles of a team the fans stop fruitlessly giving their vocal backing to a disinterested side and instead, on live TV loudly call for the managers head for the remaining 70 mins, we might even see MP sacked before the palace game. No place to hide on Live coverage! Just have to keep it clean so it wouldn't get muted....
-
And 2 points from the bottom 3.
-
If he resigned tonight i would have so much respect for him. It's not working out, and he's not the right man to choose targets for the transfer window.
-
We have to stop their momentum, and soon.
-
Since they are one of the primary members of the transfer committee? It's even public record, not even a matter of secrecy. The manager passes on the area's he needs to be strengthened in, Unfortunately, Pellegrino can't even decide on the best position for a player on the game to game basis, let alone who needs replacing. But yeah let's keep him. Along with his tactical genius, he needed clear the air talks with the players after ten (10) games. If Reed and co can't come up with better alternatives than this, they need to go too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I prefer to wait and see. Stick with Pellegrino until January, that way he can wreck our transfer window as well.
-
Indeed. Attacking intent, doubling up on runners and coherent passing. Even Fraser wasn't at fault for the goal. A great difference! As Man City will be a probable loss, let's hope for more of the same against Bournemouth, and not a reversion. Shame we can't play that Everton side every week, pathetic display given the collective wage they are on. Oh and lol at Ashley Williams.
