  1. A draw against a decent home team. I won't mention Tisdale (though I do in a self congratulationary way) I did champion the guy, amongst much scoffing and "who's he?" but look at what he's achieved with no budget.
  2. I haven't read the whole thread, but I guess there's a mixture of doom and gloom, allied to a bit of wrist slashing. It's disappointing, but Exeter at home are decent. I saw them turn over Leeds a couple of weeks ago. Saying that, I think the playoffs are beyond us now. What happened to our guaranteed 3-1 win?
  3. He's technically good and very quick. Looks like the Mellis replacement that Pardew was after. He wasn't great for Plymouth, but to be fair he didn't get much of a chance. I didn't get to see him at MK Dons so he may have improved. £1m seems a lot but hey I guess we can afford it!
  4. I tried but my psychic powers offered up Chelsea Away, I handed it Lady Luck who came up trumps.
  5. Watched the draw live, so to speak. It was a bit surreal, the numbers disappearing until no.1 was left. We've gotta win this one! It'll be a sell out and we are on a roll.
  6. Both ... Or is that a bit greedy?
  7. I don't think anyone should even contemplate stripping off. What kind of message does that send ... To the kids The fermenting of cherry wine is morally wrong, moreso than cherrywine itself which is wrong.
  8. I like Antonio, the guy's 19, but so much potential. And he seems to work hard too, good attitude etc. AP seems to rate him to. Perhaps more than a few on this forum, who seem to have decided he's a bit rubbish.
  9. A bit of a lame joke a few years ago. But his nickname is tied in now to Hoddle, what else can you do?
  10. Bit of a strange signing. Pardew or one of his scouts must have seen something. I've done a fair bit of Exeter stuff, though who am I to say. Potential maybe?
  11. 2-1 to Saints. Paterson scored the winner. According to Saints on Twitter, Murty scored from 45 yards!

An opinion based on watching 10 mins of a game.
  13. "The Swiss" what do we know ... Family Robinson? It's a scary time ...
  14. I film a lot of Div 1 and Championship stuff for SSN and Sky. It's not all kick and rush physicality. Obviously the quality isn't top notch, but many teams try and play the "right" way, passing football on the deck, so to speak. It just needs a good manager, with a game plan and some players who can take instruction, pass and move. Oh, and a good finisher.

    THAT Save

Cripes I'm a happily married man, but sadly to say I love Kelvin and his heroics ... He seems like a superman, I'm having dreams about him ... It's all a bit strange.
  16. "It goes to show just how massively JP was out of his depth. Despite him supposedly being a nice guy, it would appear he was not particularly competent." That is exactly what I've heard.
  17. Absolutely, I think Wotte's got everything spot on so far and the spirit seems great. I'm just perplexed why he was academy or reserve coach for much of this season? And JP was considered a better coach.
  18. Hello. I don't post on here very often but am an avid lurker and fan. I keep reading so many arguments on here between fans. Unfortunately my job, I spend every Saturday filming other CC games and don't have the chance. I know Lowe, with Woodward (the guy he listened to) had this dutch idea 3 years ago. Head coach, all playing the same system, like Ajax. Wotte was targeted as head coach then. With another guy whose name escapes me sorry. Why not have him at the start? His track record and experience is ok. Why JP? Seems a bit strange.
  19. Yep Sturrock is such a bad manager that he'll guide his team (on more of a limited budget ... Yes really) than us, to a higher position in the league. Unreal!
  20. Good call, interviewed him before Xmas (I'm a Sky sports cameraman), for a manager he's incredibly bright and astute. I asked if he'd ever consider the Saints job, off the record, he said that he'd be interested but would ask a lot of questions of the board - Direction, long term plans etc. Rupert would love him too as he wears a cravat in the dugout! I meet quite a few managers through my job, he's impressed me more than most. (Martinez at Swansea likewise, interviewed JP twice ... Didn't understand what he was saying, seemed a decent guy though). Burley interview was an eye opener ... Can't really say anymore on that!
  21. Ho hum "A theatre-goer" - Reminds me of Bill Hicks - "We gotta book reader here"
  22. Disappointing, I wasn't there today because of my job, but was at Derby, which was an incredible performance of passing and movement. Could someone tell me how it went wrong today please? As a benchmark I was doing pitchside camera at the Wolves v Forest game today and the Wolves first half performance was quite frankly stunning, the best footballing performance from a championship side i've seen in eons. Top 2 for them this season. My only concern with Saints at Derby was the lack of a finisher, we really should have won by more. The formation seems to lack players getting into the box, was that an issue today. I was so proud of our performance last week
  23. He's a cheap buy for squad depth, so lets not get our knickers in a twist. And a Portvliet sanctioned buy too, he liked his energy in the pre season Stoke game apparantly and who am I to argue.
  24. Challenge issued mate.
