Josh Sims signs Professional contract at Southampton
tedmaul replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
Another downside is the fact he's a Ginger. I'm no Gingest, but there is a prem rule on the amount of redheads in one team. Can we afford him? -
Too small story being Chelsea rejected him as a 13 year old, as being yep too small, Saints stepped in.
-
For anyone, like myself who thought that Luke was a Chelsea fan and grew up near Cobham training ground and convinced that he'll go in summer ... Had a chat with a school friend of his ... "Given I went to school with him, and knew him well enough (must have mentioned a few times that I used to mark him in training) until a few years ago, Cobham is not where he is from! Cobham's a good 20-30 minutes away (I just want to make sure people know I'm not from a town where Chelsea train)! The too small story is true though, and the family support. However, his Dad is very switched on about what's best career wise, he won't just move to Chelsea because he supports them, he'd only move if he'd be a guaranteed starter. I wouldn't rule out United just yet. Still a god chance he'd spend another season at Soton too, he owes a great deal to you.

Newcastle were poor today, but wow Adam is some player. He really has kicked on this season
-
It's not sad, it's quite funny it's getting a bit desperate now too, how's the updated form table looking?
-
I don't know if anyone listens to 5live? But Pat Murphy's post match interview with Mourinho is just amazing. For context Pat Murphy ... Erudite, fearless, doesn't care about his career etc. He's getting on now but best in the business.
-
Exactly, why people keep replying to Glasgow Saint, it's quite funny really. He's laughing at you
-
Holy heck why are people still replying or reacting ... Mod's he's laughing at you, really. Can you not see it?
-
Alpine Saint, is genuine I think although suffering from clinical depression, he needs your help. Glasgow Saint, is a classic troll, wou.ld be funny but you wonder he spends so much time online it's a bit of an obsession
-
What do the Mods on this site actually do? Glasgow Saint's continual anti Pochettino agenda is trolling and it's obvious and dull.
-
Could be condensed into ... "I was right and "the majority on here" was against me ... I was proved right again. Ad Nauseum.
-
What has happened to Glasgow Saint? He showed promise as a forum entertainer and funny chap, sadly now peddling the same joke over and over. He needs new material, can anyone help him?

The club is no longer run FOR the fans...............
tedmaul replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
The club was never never run "for the fans". Like most football clubs it's a business, and always has been. -
plus one ... And most fans/mates i know feel likewise

Yep, I think when the dust settles, and people can look at the big picture. Difficult now as people are a bit angry, and rightly so IMO, We really should have put out a better team today. I can only think it's a cultural thing. Cup competitions abroad are generally second best to the League. Saying that, what an amazing future this club has. Unrivalled academy, infrastructure in place, a squad built around the best young English talent. Progressive manager, who given a pre season has got the squad tactically and physically able to play his pressing game that is a joy to watch and gets results. It's only our 2nd season and we still have a load of below average squad players contracted. The depth isn't there, we all know that. I'm sure the manager knows it too. Let's see what happens over the summer. My only ITK thing, I work as a cameraman for Sky Sports, not covering Saints unfortunately. I have worked with Guillem Balague a few times, a good friend of Pochettino's and an avid Espanyol fan. He is/was under instruction to use the youth team ahead of signing new players. That was when Cortese was there and 2 months ago. Things are good in general, major screw up perhaps today, but just look slightly more long term.

Thanks, good quality

Cortese has left Southampton Football Club - Officially Confirmed
tedmaul replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
"The relationship between the executive chairman and owner at Southampton had fractured beyond repair over Katharina's apparent desire to sell the asset left to her when Markus died in 2010. Cortese had opposed a swift sale and, having come close to quitting last May, the pair remained distant even after a tentative truce had been struck. Matters came to a head again in the autumn, when the team were third in the table, with Cortese resistant to the Liebherr Group playing more of a role in the day-to-day running of a club he had effectively and impressively overseen since 2009.It is understood there were also differences of opinion over how much Cortese would be due should the Liebherr Group push through a sale, all of which convinced the 45-year-old that the time had come to leave. Regardless, Katharina recognised the impact he had made at the club and had made offers described as "eye-watering" and "insane" by sources close to the negotiations in an attempt to persuade him to stay on. Those were rejected, with Cortese departing with Southampton comfortably placed in ninth." Interesting, from a Guardian article. -
I like the fact we are "chasing" him. Les Reed as Benny Hill.
-
Why keep creating these threads, about "MOPO" and "GASHTON (LOLZ) and "OsWaldo PMSL?
-
Credit to Groves, he was better
-
To be fair, Steve Bunce backed Groves on 5live earlier. The only pundit to do so.
-
Groves is quicker, younger and better at the moment
-
Why don't you go **** yourself And perhaps try and support each player who pulls on a saints shirt.

Who cares about shaking hands?
