gutted Playing well and losing is not the way to stay up. I think we will stay up, but something's got to change. Everton were awful and we failed to score at home. SAF's compliments meant nothing to me. Now this - a terrible result with 2 points dropped. Of course we'll never know we would have won this and Everton with NA at the helm, but all the indications such as form suggest it. It's early days still, but after 3 games I don't see any evidence that MP is a good choice.

Got to agree. That's twice now he's started, been gash, and Lallana has come on and made a real difference. That miss today was laughable.

Very minor grumble is that the instruction for streaming to iPhone or iPad don't work, 'cos it's not possible to create an Egyptian based iTunes account without having a credit/debit card with an Egyptian billing address. So if you are fed up of the stream freezing just as we look about to score, I'd follow terrypward's instructions - cheaper than Sky and much better.

Should have won the game in the first half. Poor display 2nd half, apart from Boruc, as Everton started to find their stride. Not convinced about Ramirez - is he actually any good? Feels like 2 points dropped as Everton weren't at their best. I look forward to Pochettino learning some English for post-match interviews ;-)

Best saints manager of the century says the stats. Best manager I can remember say I. Actually made us attractive to watch, popular with the neutrals, AND successful. I reckoned on us finishing 10 - 15th this season under Nigel, which would have been a major achievement.

Fantastic result At 2-0 down after the cup drubbing this could have gone very wrong. Rickie scoring after 47 seconds on the pitch and Puncheon's smashing goal have made my week. Shaw and Clyne were quality, as usual, and the whole team defended brilliantly for the last 10 minutes, throwing themselves in front of everything. Even the taters on all streams loved us! Feels like a victory

Massive 3 points, and we are 15th Prefer Davis to Boruc who was cr@p last game, but well done to him today. Two great saves and a quality decision to come out to edge of box and claim ball. We deserved that win today, despite the dodgy penalty. Worried about Shaw's head injury though. Villa fans booing as he was stretchered off says it all about them.

No. But we deserved the win. Boruc was fouled before J Rod went down, and again later by Benteke. When Shaw was down injured, a villa player had his hand on the ref's neck, and didn't even get a card. Ref was awful, including giving that penalty.

What a w@nker the ref is. He had a great view of the man moving his arm away from the ball, which hit him from close range. The rule says "intentional handball" Ffs.

Gutted by us squandering 2 points. As soon as J Rod wasted his best chance of the game [and Guly scuffed the follow up] I knew we were going to draw or lose. The number of times we have failed to kill off a game and then seen it turn against us is depressing. Wasn't impressed by us sitting back for the last 15 mins either. It was inevitable that Jerome or Crouch would score. B**tards ruined my Sat evening again

Top tip: Avoid being annoyed by people asking for streams by NOT READING ANY THREADS ENTITLED "Stream for today?" For the rest of us threads like this give people an opportunity to post newly available streams and compare notes on quality. BTW "http://www.stadium-live.com/index.html" is not listing our game at the moment, so wouldn't be much use today. Might be useful another week though..... so topical stream threads DO have their uses after all :-)
