    Hughes OUT

Haven't heard today but it's definitely a rumour going round that he's leaving as i was told that fulham was going to be his last game if we lost. Also he's definitely lost the dressing room and a section of players openly want him sacked.
  2. Literally can't think of a single reason to buy one to be honest, most home games aren't sold out now, even away games make it to members. The only reason i can think of is if we draw the skates in the cup.
  3. Except that this silly story came directly from someone in the club, with direct access to first team players and board members.
  4. Falling out with someone, I don’t know who but I’d put my money on it being Reed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I'll be very, very interested to see if Yoshida comes back in now. My guess is yes if the damage isn't already done.
  6. Why? Les Reed was DOF, Cortese was the CEO Martin Hunter was a technical director (largely in charge of the academy), Cortese was the CEO Aside from the facts of the damage he did he's not coming back to replace either one of those two people who's job he couldn't do (and both of whom he hired).

    Hughes OUT

Been far worse suggestions and he'd actually probably come to us to.
  8. Don't know if i'm reading that wrong but are you taking his side? Because if you think coming from Derry means he's coming to Britain you're inferring that Derry isn't British, but is instead Irish...
  9. Ah i knew we missed out, didn't get the details of why, if that's the case that's an absolute embarrassment, though not hugely surprising given how the club is currently run. They have more "managers" than people doing the work in most departments, i think it's case of if you sneeze right you get made dept head.
  10. It's not really contradictory, part of Krueger's job is clearly to rely what Gao wants to be told to the press on his behalf, that doesn't mean he's just the mouthpiece of Gao. Kruegers main role is commercial, his main PR role is to represent the board. On the few occasions he's representing Gao it's because he's been told to, or briefed to. No one said he doesn't care about the football side, i said he wasn't hands on with the football side (i think the words used when he bought us was that it would be "business as usual on the football side"). He's aware in his lack of knowledge from what i understand so has given the reigns to people he thinks does understand it. As for concentrating on the business opportunities how do you expect us to grow if you don't do that? I'm not pretending to know all the answers by the way, nor to claim he's a good choice for owner (read through my old posts and you'll see i pre-warned everyone be careful what you wish for).
  11. Gao is hands off on the football side of things (and has pretty much always intended to be) he is however expanding the business side of things and is doing things with the branding of the club (and working with other organisations and businesses) in China. He has also twice had an offer turned down for the concrete works by St Mary's. In terms of the football side of affairs it has always been a business as usual model, Krueger is still managing business revenue, Reed the football side of things. There really isn't any big conspiracy going on here, Gao purchased Saints for reasons he's currently exploiting (in his own country as well as ours), he never intended to be involved in the day to day of football affairs as he knows his knowledge is lacking. Krueger is definitely not Gao's mouthpiece, he's a mouthpiece for the club and represents some of Gao's interests but the club's board still run the club, especially from a football perspective. As for the whole idea of Gao being an agent of Liebherr group and the club being part of the purchase, if it's true it isn't something i've heard (and i know people working directly with the Gao's). My suspicion about that is it's probably untrue.
  12. Don't know about LGTL but the source for me was direct from a first team player. Anyway back to the original topic instead of doing a no show for the first 7min can we not do the full 90 so we don't have to watch this cr*p anymore
  13. The Dell was a cold, wet and windy filthy **** hole of a place to spend a Saturday afternoon and that’s why I f*cking loved it. No aires and graces. No “matchday experiences”. No £22 burgers, clappers and fireworks. Just an old fashioned football ground, tight to the pitch and with a proper atmosphere Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. According to football leaks clubs have signed a term sheet committing to the start of a European Super League from 2021
  15. Genuine question if Banks is found guilty, and if the money is proven to come from a state sponsored foreign source, would his crime be upgraded to treason (the genuine version not the pantomime one that the Brexiteers throw around)? Because aiding a foreign state in undermining the democracy of this country surely has to be the dictionary definition of that?
  16. Aaron Banks has been reported to the national crime agency. Personally didn't think they'd do that to be honest as he has so much money behind him. Makes me think they must have some pretty conclusive evidence https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-46056337
  17. Given the lack of trains back from Leicester mid week i'd be all for that, also you'd probably get a much higher attendance than you would for a midweek. Unfortunately common sense and football don't really mix so there's not a hope in hell it'd happen
  18. Mark Wright, VVD, Le Tiss and Lambert would see us pretty good i reckon
  19. The premier league.
  20. Absolutely horrible news, i know it shouldn't make any more of a difference compared to the loss of any life but the fact that his daughters were in the helicopter too makes it so incredibly sad to me. Hopefully Saints, Leicester and the football league will have the good sense to cancel our game in the cup on Tuesday night, some things are far more important than football and the families should be allowed to grieve without something as trivial as a football game getting the way.
  21. I'll be honest back then i don't really remember any talk of the "top six", big clubs and clubs with history definitely, even if they weren't doing well (like United for a long time), but not a TOP six. But the fact that the term "top six" exists, even before the start of any season, proves how fixed the league is. You don't ever hear people talk of a generic "top six" in any other division, because those divisions are competitive.
  22. It's almost always an extension of the away end, with a few confused american tourists thrown in the mix. Although at £50 a ticket i'd be surprised if we snap them all up like we usually do.
  23. I still maintain that Puel was a decent manager and should've been given a season more. Away from home we looked a good side, some of our play off the break was as good as the best of Koeman's. Obviously it was out of our hands as he lost the dressing room, but i do wonder what would've been if the board had backed him and got rid of the problem players, especially since they've caused similar problems ever since (with one or two new ones joining their fun).
  24. Two worst managers of our history? Puel got us to a cup final and 8th placed, statistically (god i sound like that freak MLG) he was one of our best managers ever.
  25. Foley, Illingsworth, Perry and Jim Steele were the main bods behind the branfoot protests/sisa, Chorley turned up a bit later and got involved. At the time i thought he was ok but i lost a lot of respect for him after he acted a complete pr*ck to a mates mum.
