  1. Who's main stand was designed by Archibald Leitch too...
  2. Bit the bullet and bought a ticket, despite knowing how dreadful our record is at Everton (last win was 21 years ago i think) i'm still going with hope we can get something, even a draw may be enough.
  3. The issue many have is that kind of sh*t sums up everything wrong with the modern game, no offence to you particularly but the "look at me" crap that goes with these things is fairly bloody nauseating, and for some of us older lot an actual embarrassment to have associated with the club. I do appreciate you're getting free tickets and i can see the pull of that but i know many that wouldn't take nicely to you filming them all game (whether you mean to or not) and personally i'd rather your ticket (especially at away games) went to someone who's not filming themselves all game to stick on the internet.

Don't know mate, rumour doing the rounds in the club is he's going, nothing else. Think it's even been alluded to by a few of the journos who comment on us regularly.

Sounds like he's gone if we stay up or not, talk around of significant restructures behind the scenes in the summer, whether that's good or bad is yet to be seen (and what it actually means).
  6. And perhaps they're placing sporting academies in China associated to a club with a brand for doing it to curry favour with a Chinese government who has a stated aim of improving their football, with an eye on getting their assets which are currently locked into China released to invest overseas.
  7. Yup there is that, and also that Krueger believed he was a good coach and wanted to give him more time. If what i was told was right there were a few occasions where the trigger was being pulled and Krueger was the only person to stand up for him and argue against his sacking.

Do you always get irate and self righteous without reading what's written or do you just save it for football forums? Because if you'd read what i wrote you'd see that later on i said i had the utmost respect for older fans, and nowhere did i slag off nippers. It's the weirdo adults that turn up in jester hands, half half scarves, foam hands and facepaint, who spend their whole time recording the game on their phone and taking group selfies before sitting in silence, then clapping off a team for losing that get to me. But you know, you carry on with your angry imagination, it's no skin off my nose.

I'm fourth generation Saints, an whilst sadly two of those weren't there today i still had three generations represented. The truth is i aspire to being an OAP (no offence meant) at Saints, and love the history that comes with having those people there.

I have nothing but respect for the OAP's still watching Saiints, they've seen and been through far more than we have, and are the cornerstone of our club, That said i'm not sure VFFT was taking a pop at them or families, more at a kind of fan that've turned up since we got promoted.

Pretty much sums it up for me that. It wasn't the worst atmosphere i've ever experienced, and most round me stood, but we were all pretty resigned to losing before the game and just felt like we had to get it out the way of when we got there. Like VFFT says going down will clear out some of the new fan types that've latched on since promotion and hopefully we can get a bit of soul back to the club, In general though our support is an embarrassment, so many facepaint and selfie fans, and generally speaking i tend to avoid a lot of them if i can. That said i had beer with my mates, met a few folk i'd chatted to for a while but hadn't met properly, and had a decent day out, which is the point of football.
  12. Other than the small pubs everything will be open early, especially the chains like Greene King and Spoons, no way they're missing out on the revenue of that many football fans.
  13. If anyone is still looking for tickets and also wants to donate money to a good cause there's a pair be auctioned to raise money for a girl with cancer, the auction currently stands at £50 for the pair (in club wembley) too https://www.facebook.com/lauren.b.harris.1/posts/10156208451092429?comment_id=10156210276877429&notif_id=1524142030699893&notif_t=comment_mention&ref=notif
  14. We've watched this shower of sh*t all season and realise they'd be lucky to win a game against a bunch of ten year olds, let alone against one of the ten best teams in the country.
  15. Yeah Spurs new ground is the big one i'm disappointed to not go to, mainly because there's so many good breweries on the way to the ground which would make it a really good day out. Wolves i don't care about, i've been there before and their fans are d*cks, Huddersfield is the other away game i'd really miss, result aside that was definitely the best away this season.
  16. Off the cuff games in the championship that’ll be better than the premier league and grounds I enjoy more are, forest, Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday, Brentford, qpr, Millwall, Bristol city, Fulham (if they don’t go up), Ipswich and Norwich. I’ve probably missed a few too, but compared to a lot in the premier league they’re all far better away games. Obviously winning at Chelsea was great, as was winning at white hart lane, but normally we get dicked in those grounds in an “atmosphere” where you can hear a pin drop, surrounded by people taking photos on their phones (in our end as well as theirs). There’s far less day trippers in the lower leagues and it’s just generally more of a laugh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Going to modern stadiums is one of the things i'm looking forward to getting rid of. Give me a proper football ground over a horrible soulless stadium any day of the week.
  18. Norwich, Ipswich and Leeds definitely charged a few above that, think maybe Derby did too. I'm sure i remember reading that Championship fans pay more than premier league fans on average for away days (can't remember when that was) in part because gate receipts are more important to income so they charge more for perceived "big clubs". Anyway aside from the £30 away tickets, which i believe are coming to an end or being reviewed soon anyway, i can't think of much i'm going to miss.
  19. So the FA have admitted they've f*cked up the ticket pricing i see http://fsf.org.uk/latest-news/view/fa-announces-cheaper-concessions-following-fan-lobbying
  20. To be fair if you're going to point the finger inside the club the finger should be pointed at the 7k fans not going. Otherwise point it at the FA for their pricing. Because whatever way you look at it we should be selling out our first FA Cup semi final in 15 years.
  21. And if i was a premier league footballer i'd be married to Abby Clancy, but lets be honest neither of those things are going to happen

    Drums

The drums might not be but they are. They’re in the same tradition as the Albion brass band at the dell, and some of them have been going longer than many on here, home and away too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Fonte made the fans hate Fonte. He acted like a proper bellend towards the club because of his agent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Your guess is right, these are comps that we haven't been able to give away. Absolutely damning state of affairs that we can't even give away tickets to a cup semi final
  25. We're not selling this game out, people need to accept that now, the club even increased their comps when they realised it and have now had some returned because we can't even give them away.
