Yup, but there's nothing wrong and everything healthy with asking these questions. There is something not right about this takeover, as many of us have said before, during and since the takeover. As fans of Southampton we should be nitpicking every last aspect of it, and we should be demanding answers to these questions, whether that's demanding the local media look into it, or that the club answer directly what's gong on, because the other option is we bury our heads in the sand like the Skates did and believe it's all ok.

I've been saying that for ages, there's a real sense of entitlement to our fanbase these days, as if they expect us to have top half finishes and get to cup semi finals. If you look at it in the cold light of day recent seasons have been the exception to how we've been in our history, yet still we get some who can't be bothered to go because we might be beaten. Honestly i don't care what others say if you can't be bothered to go to an FA Cup semi final because we might lose it then you aren't a fan and don't deserve a ticket should we get to the final. You're no better than the plastics that support United etc. because they win. There are of course plenty of other reasons for not going, the ticket prices being a huge one, especially the concessions which are a disgrace, but if you're only not going because "we're sh*t" then you don't deserve to be a Saints fan in my opinion.

I'd be very surprised if Bournemouth ever sell out a 30k ground regularly, it's just not a football town (and i say that from having lived there for a bit). 20-25k is probably the max they'd ever get for anything other than games against the big clubs. Brighton had a history at the Goldstone of pulling in decent numbers so it's not a massive surprise they sell out Falmer now.
-
Honestly who cares if it's Bournemouth? I'd be just as p*ssed off if it was Swansea, Leicester or any of the other sides we're playing. Bournemouth are just another club and have no impact on my life whatsoever, if they want to pretend there's a rivalry fair play to them, but there's no from this side so it's not going to make it any worse if they do.

Apparently he slapped some a row in front too, funny that he went quiet when a few of the older lads told him what they thought.
-
Main pub will be the Green Man, think it's normally done based on the side of Wembley you get and we're almost always in the same side because it's easier to get to from Southampton by coach/car.

I've been all over the country this season (as always) and watch us capitulate in so many games, i don't know how many times i think we've hit a new low and have to bounce back (Newcastle most recently as i wasn't at West Ham), yet we don't. I honestly don't think most people saying this stuff are being negative, and i'm sure at the games they get behind the team, what they are is realists, and the reality is we're a long way from good enough to stay up and lack the heart to make up for our poor quality.
-
Yup you're right, i've been through countless relegation battles with Saints but the lack of heart and fight in this team is like nothing i've ever seen before. I'm already resigned to us going down and actually starting look forward to some of the away days
-
I'm guessing that's massively restricted view then, because if you can see the pitch the view will be grim

Everton's new stadium designs released today had two out of three that included safe standing. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they were the first top flight club allowed to have it too, since it'd be a major political coup for whichever government that did it to allow safe standing, and to allow it in the city where the biggest opposition was, with the blessing of the families of those involved.

Even if he'd stayed (which was offered to him) his post wouldn't have existed. They specifically got rid of it because it/he held too much power and the ability to spend our money too freely. The entire post cortese restructure was about giving the board power for checks and balances and stopping any one person from controlling the club too much.
-
Yeah but had Cortese stayed we'd be in dire, dire financial straits right now and probably having to sell off a lot of players to cover debts. What we needed/need is a midway between our overly arrogant strategy now and the extreme over spending of the mad midget, and that's not an easy thing to find.

Would you encourage a grand-child still to be a Saints fan

Yup exactly that. Support your local side in whatever country you’re in to help them grow and just enjoy watching other leagues on tv. You don’t actually have to support anyone to enjoy the game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Football clubs represent where you were born, they're your culture, your history, the links to your family and friends, they embody the local pride you carry with you. You don't choose your team, it chooses you due to where you were born. Plastics who choose a team from a place they've never been are f*cking weirdos, and not deserving of respect as football fans in my opinion. -
That must've been done via social media, because all it shows me is that the majority of people that did it were really young.

In and bought by 5 past nine, the site is a piece of p*ss to use if you know the trick about how the queuing system works
-
Yeah but look at the difference in the price of the concessions, that's the real p*ss take this time round, a concession for the EFL final behind the goal was £36, for the FA cup semi final this year it's £55

Sunday 3pm, decent kick off time that. Think we all knew it wouldn't be the Saturday game and most of us were worried it'd be an early kick off on the Sunday instead. All things considered 3pm is the best time we could've hoped for. Transport could be fun for those of you from Southampton driving up though as it's the london marathon that day!
-
Has to be settled on the day, so it's extra time and penalties. I don't know why i just have a feeling this will end up being a draw and pens, fortunately i booked my trains back later so i could go on the p*ss in Manchester as it's a great city to drink in.
-
I don't think anyone thinks this will be a walkover, and most people i know are nervous as hell about this one (it's only on here i've seen weirdos wanting us to lose it), personally i think it'll be a draw and penalties, though i'm not sure if my heart can take that!

Not sure if this counts as sticking my neck on the line anymore but I’ve also been told it’s Hughes announcement tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve heard we’re willing to spend money on a replacement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Given i'm travelling the country again i don't want us to lose, but if we do then the only way i'll be ok with it is if this f*cking waste of space is fired.
