  1. Definitely a sizeable chunk of our end booing VVD. Palace were pretty f*cking quiet all game, except for about 15 people and a drum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lemina!

Utterly superb today. Different class to everything else on the pitch. Think we might've found our next gem Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Does my head in mush, it's like no one here has ever done anything wrong in their lives? F*ck knows i've done plenty of stupid things growing up! I remember the days at the dell when stewards would try and pull fans out of the crowd and people would pull them back in so they couldn't be gone, these days they'd be pushing them out infront and booing them
  4. What the f*ck has happened to our support that there are Saints fans celebrating other Saints fans getting banned from St Mary's!? Hardly like they walked on in KKK outfits doing the nazi salute, they were just young (maybe drunk) and stupid.

    Cortese

He didn't, but as a result of the significant overspend we had to balance books after Cortese left by selling our best players. Something that was talked about by Krueger and Reed towards the end of last season when they said this summer would be the first we wouldn't have to sell players

    Cortese

Exactly right. In fact the club have come out and said (not in direct words) that that's the reason we had to sell so many players. But as usual many on here choose to ignore it.

To be fair Turkish is spot on with what he's written and doesn't even get into shadier things like spending club money on personal housing projects, threatening people with legal action from the club based in no groundings and feint feelings of wrong doing towards him (i've seen the letters to prove this). He also treated all but the playing staff appalling badly and was totally out of control on spending and running the club as his own private empire. Of course most people will just look at the results and say he was great, but then i'm sure the Skates said that of their owners when they were winning the FA Cup. Fortunately we rooted this guy out before we fell into the kind of hole they fell into, but i have no doubt that would've happened long term if he'd stayed here.
  8. Huddersfield are where we were when we came up, there's still enough of the lower league fans who are there to make noise and haven't been infiltrated by the football tourists and people that just want the "premier league experience". They're also buzzing because they're doing well and they'll make a racket because of that. Our support was at it's best in League One/championship, but back then we had a lot more younger lads (late teens to early 30s) and far less of the weirdo fancy dress types and club merchandise types (and almost none of the blocks of overseas tourists). What i can't get my head round is our current away support, the numbers are great but we seem to have gotten significantly quieter for no reason at all.
  9. To be fair you'd have cared a lot when our club did what that lot down the road did because we'd overspent and relied on debt to give us an artificial position. Because that's exactly what would've happened, in fact the sales of our stars early on after he left were a direct result of his mismanagement of the financial situation and the need to claw that money back. I really don't understand how people don't get this!? The mad italian midget wasn't good for the club, he was playing a risky game on someone else's money (to begin with), then on loans and alienating a huge amount of the club and footballing community at the same time.
  10. Think he'll go January personally. Would've gone this summer but the club/VVD meant we couldn't let go.
  11. Hasn't even played an U23 match since his injury, feel out with most people in the club over the summer and hasn't really trained much with the new manager. If he starts saturday i'd not only be shocked i'd think we've made a mistake.
  12. I'd assume his source had it on good faith, not know what was going on behind the scenes completely, most ITK things are really just the result of rumours in the background and often those rumours are out of date from the point they've been told. Personally i wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the truth when the person that told him found out was what he'd heard, but in the interim conversations had been had that had changed the situation. Not least VVD realising he's not going in January and he needs to knuckle down for this season and accept it to get a move. The problem is old Matt Le Autistic doesn't see nuance, and takes everything at face value RIGHT NOW, something which is almost always not the case in football clubs, and even less likely to be the case in any gossip, rumour or "leaks" that come out of it.
  13. What he said wasn't nonsense, it's quite possible the person he knew was told exactly that. The problem is that in your autistic world you can't read any subtitles, so you totally miss things and go after people like a boring football statto version of Mark Corrigan.
  14. Think people don't realise how much of a change there can be in a short space of time, i was told on the day of the takeover (morning before it happened) that it must not be going through because they were renewing contracts for non critical staff who had previously been kept on game by game freelance contracts during the takeover process. Then a couple of hours later the takeover is announced!
  15. bednarek counts as a youth player doesn't he? So not counted towards the 25.
  16. Spot on mush, i can't stand their club and the plastic dippers that follow them, but i have a lot of respect for their fans that fought to turn over a cover up from a disgusting tory government that treated football fans as criminals and generation after generation smeared families to hide their own corruption.
  17. VFTT is as well and he's reiterated all summer that VVD isn't going to Liverpool (something which i've also heard from other sources too). The thing to understand though is that what you hear today is not what happens tomorrow.
  18. Apparently the flight thing was just a joke started on RAWK.
  19. Really enjoyed my day out in Hudds, still maintain it's one of the best away days in football. Great places to drink, decent ground and friendly away fans. In fact that only downside of the day was the football itself. As anyone could've guessed Southampton nil (to give us our official name) didn't score, and if i'm honest had we snuck it in the last ten, which did seem possible, it would've been daylight f*cking robbery. For the best part of the game Huddersfield outplayed us, and probably should've got something. Fortunately they seemed to have stolen our indecision and need to turn any good attacking opportunity into a chance to hoof the ball off the side of the pitch. I must admit i'm starting to think our players have some sort of bet where they're not allowed to shoot until ever single one of them has touched the ball, and at least one has done a 40 yard hollywood pass for no good reason. Few positives i will take though are lemina looked good, that this game will be the last time we attempt to play Yoshida and Stephens at the back and that MP can make some of the most baffling substitutions that i've seen in a long while. Haha yeah, but was a cracking little spot! Got even messier after and i almost missed my train down as a result!!
  20. It'a HOOT HOOT at Paulton's Park. anyone living in Hampshire during the 80s or 90s would instantly know it. Saw one on twitter today i thought was funny (because it was so sh*t) to the tune of this (and with the correct pronunciation of Fonte) "Who is Fonte? Jose can't Hoedt me, can't Hoedt me, no more"
  21. Depends how many of you are going, SWT group save (3 or more) gives you 33% off as standard, advance tickets can get you a fair bit off if you're lucky. Also worth looking at the Southampton to Victoria line (takes longer but more deals). Other thing to look at is ticket splitting https://new.trainsplit.com/ In all honesty if you're doing regular away games it's worth getting a Network rail card as it's only about £30 and you save that in 2/3 trips. Restricted view at Palace is arguably one of the worst in the country, they have a few massive pillars from roof to ground, if you're behind one of those then good luck seeing anything!
  22. I'm hoping for one other player, probably an attacked. I'm just not confident we'll get him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Good first half that, probably should've been three red cards, Tadic, Noble and Arnautovic, we should've scored more than 2, and Forster showing once more that he's always got a soft goal in him.
  24. Gazzaniga to spurs more or less done, expect it to be announced soon. Already said some of his goodbyes. Damn weird signing if you ask me.
  25. He was 100% at his agents yesterday
