I'd guess that most of the 'customers' of the NHS are over 60 and will represent an ever increasing proportion as would be the case in US. If the US scheme is aimed to ration treatment based on scarce resources for increasing demand then I'm guessing treatment will be allocated on a 'best outcome' basis - which is really the case for the NHS though it is constantly denied. Therefore it's unlikely that a 94 year old with advanced cancer would get brain surgery, but an otherwise healthy 60 yr might get seen. After massive investment (something like 25% of GDP (might have made that up but a big chunk of £B) over the last 5 years has meant that it's normal to not have to wait more than 4 months for hospital treatment - I've certainly witnessed this in my family. It would take a massive amount of money and political will to implement this in the US but they could make a success of it I suppose. BTW, the facilities and attitude of staff is still crap in my experience, but at least there's now a possibility of acccessing services.

981 got sacked by Total - a French company which would never be able to do this in France. It looks like this lot have been royally shafted as some have been made redundant whilst other workers have been taken on by a different contractor (presumably cheaper or with higher kickbacks to the execs). I just compare this to their comrades at the RMT who walked out for 5% - these oil refinery people seem to geuinely need representation but aren't getting it. Wonder if RMT workers will contribute to their cause (well I'm sure they would if it meant walking out on full pay again).

Don't get it. I suspect it isn't worth getting. -
Perhaps on one of ten million other threads, but the salient point of KK photos was that a workman took them in order to make a few bob.

It's all moving too fast for me!

I think so. Alan Brazil was slurring.

Couldn't get his second name, he seemed to be an ex player and knows MLT. Was worried about fans feeling let down. Notte Wotte

Inarticulate but says KK not manager.

I am an exile (Bury north of Manchester), but have never had any problem paying on the door at eg Leeds, Burnley, Wolves, Brum, Stoke. Are you talking about local away games only and is it different for these further away games in L1 (Huddersfield/Hartlepool)?

Is Trevor's still going? I used to get my hair cut there. I stopped going when they said that I didn't have enough hair to cut. I was 17.

Ironically, I have exactly the same heritage, parental-football-wise. My mum would rather have Rooney as a son than me! Fortunately, I managed to avoid being ManYoo, though flirted with Leeds at one point.

I'm sorry to be pedantic, and I'm also sorry that I haven't checked whether the numerous other linguistic pedants on this forum have called this. Normally, I'm not bothered by spelling or grammar mistakes, or typos, or 'relaxed' typing; it's all about expression (note use of semi colon rather than colon, punctuation freaks) However, I understand the OP's original intent to make 'who' agree with a preposition, but there's really no need in this case. 'Whom' is an archaic form only used in the dative and possibly genitive declension - eg 'To whom does this dildo belong?'. I'm no expert, but if it you're not preceeding the word 'who' with 'to', then don't use 'whom'. Carry on.

Also, bit disconcerted that your home page, as quoted in your public profile, is FC United. Which is your first team? (btw, I live near Gigg Lane whoopdewhoo)

I think what you say is valid as you are able to spell and use punctuation. Post more often.

Having followed the audit trail for this, I realise that I inadvertently 'disrepected' DSM. The humorous disrepect I meant was at S13 SFC who said he was at the same table as some other people. Hope that clears everything up. Was it a big table? I am related to Steve Coogan.

Last bit sounds a bit sad, I'd edit it out.

They look cute, but was really hoping it would be a picture another type of furry rat.
