  1. bloody Wanyama let him run into the box unaccompanied, no doubt it'll be Gazza's fault for the muppets.
  2. 2 shots 2 saves Gazza!
  3. Gazza is back, Gazza is back Wo oh, wo oh
  4. Something wrong behind the scenes? Perhaps Koeman has heard the January plans.
  5. **** off saints, I woke up at 4.45 for this, going back to sleep.
  6. Considering the centre backs we've had since we were linked to Rojo we dodged a bullet there. Though of course he may have a looked majestic next to Fonte and behind Wanyama, but he doesn't behind Schneiderlin and next to (best CB this season according to Hoddle) Smalling.
  7. would have also given someone time to leave early and lay a log on the bonnet of his car.
  8. They could have at least announced he was in the stadium (maybe cut the floodlights at half time and spotlight him, in red) so the relevant chants could have been sung.
  9. Absolutely, the Dublin Complex, you can add Adebayor to that list
  10. I've always wondered how I would look playing in a prem game. I can imagine it pretty well, I'd look really slow, get in everyone's way, look a bit lost, shoulders slumped sheepishly, taking up terrible positions, every decision I make being the wrong one. Well Lallana has made the imagining manifest, though granted I've only been watching the Spurs Liverpool game for the last 15 minutes.
  11. Barring another 'meltdown' the Panini Euro sticker album could have a record number of Southampton players in it. Fonte, Bertrand, Cedric, Van Dijk, Clasie, Pelle, Davis, Long.
  12. Made me wince, too. Is there a center back currently playing that has the balls to give Costa a battering (fairly, well barely fairly)?
  13. After the early season form I'll take a 0-0 at WBA. I'm hoping this lacklustre display was on account of the internationals some of our players played. Hope for a bit more urgency and speed next and the return of Romeu would be welcome against Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger and Mata
  14. I still believe he'll come good, I'm not alone. http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/40313/
  15. I'm no bedwetter, Romeu looks to be a great addition, but Caulker is very worrying, appalling decision making, poor passing, poor positioning and not dominant in the air, combined with lack of speed, he's looking more of a liability than Fox did. I'd be tempted to send him back from whence he came.
  16. I'd rather we told Hodgson he wasn't welcome, or at least have someone key his car every time he comes down.
  17. I'll be happy to see us look more solid in defence, would like to see Caulker and Romeu have impressive games, they should do as we're playing a team consisting of a number of Championship players, get a draw or even sneak a win and start to build that confidence. Mane in the 55th minute and Saints shutting them out for the remainder would please me greatly and give no small amount of optimism for the season.

  19. To a lower half premier team, Bournemouth, Villa, Leicester, Palace, etc his career will go the same way as Cork's. Less and less playing time and eventually deciding to move on for first team football, I am certain we will see Reed usurp JWP as the academy success story this season, and to have a far more important role in the squad.
  20. Last season I expected to see him start to impose himself on games, he needed to add that aspect to his tidy passing and work rate. He didn't, I think if he doesn't move up a notch this year he'll be on his way, needs to add something more than just being a tidy player to his game (and not dead balls).
  21. I've set up a head to head league for an added incentive. Limited to 38 teams though. 1567877-369499
  22. Nah, Pochettino will never be held in the same regard as Branfoot, I meant Merrington specifically as a manager, did OK, nothing special kept us up...just.
  23. An ever more irrelevant footnote in our history, already not as important as Adkins or Koeman. Soon to be on a par with Merrington and Burley.
