  1. Should have scored more, but I'm happy with a much needed win. Austin man of the match for me. Though Hojbjerg, Cedric and Bertrand all had good games.

  3. exit Alpine
  4. I've yet to witness, in my 35 years of watching football, booing your own team to have a positive affect. In fact I've seen it spread cautious play, fear, and occasionally (from a more passionate player) a reckless challenge leading to a red card. The booing of opposition players similarly inspires them to play the game of their lives, the times Ronaldo has been out of this world when being booed for Man Utd. Not that I would have clapped Saints off in Prague, I'd have silently left on the whistle, blocked the toilets and sinks in the bogs and turned all the taps on.
  5. I'd give Rodriguez a full season before writing him off, we only need to see flashes of what he had before and then judge him next season. I'm happy to see him getting plating time in these Europa EFL cup games. It's going to take more than 20 games for him to get anywhere near what he was.
  6. We have tended to sign older forwards of late,(wasn't Pelle 29?) so I don't buy into the 'he doesn't fit our business model' argument. I'd definitely have him on loan with a view to a buy. I'd rather we offered 25 million for Rashford though.
  7. Of course he's going to go this summer, he's the best center back in the league playing for a team who's highest finish in the last 30 years was 6th. Why are you surprised enough to start a thread about it given the events of the last 3 summers? He'll go and we'll buy someone who'll flop or has the potential to be as good as him. Have you not noticed the pattern of the last 3 years? It gets mentioned by every article/commentator every time we play, Jesus Christ.
  8. Instead of booing ex players (the sheer number of them currently playing for Liverpool means you probably couldn't catch your breath before the next boo) couldn't we take the **** with a few songs? Are you scouts in disguise? Perhaps to the tune of 'Go West' every time Van Dijk touches the ball He's yours for 40 million quid or He'll be **** when he plays for you
  9. dodgy back pass isn't from Yoshida, who goes and wins a pen for us. Always been a Yoshi Fan!
  10. Facking Tadic and penalties! What is he doing still getting anywhere near them. As soon as I saw him with the ball I was trying to get a bet on him to miss, wasn't quick enough sadly. That nutcrumble shouldn't be allowed within 40 yards of a pen. If we get another I've got the ingame betting ready to go.
  11. Mane entering his annual goal hibernation phase?
  12. Much like the thread of his rumoured signing for us his goals have vanished. I know I wasn't alone on that thread about not wanting him here, have seen nothing to change my opinion, not even our profligacy in front of goal.
  13. http://laliga-live.to/stream7.php Danish but working fine
  14. Hang on, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the same poster that, back in Div 1, said we should rest players away at Brighton (I think) so they would be fresh for the play offs?
  15. I think we'll struggle to qualify for Europe again. In which case he'll be off this summer, Man u, Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Arsenal all need center backs and even spurs could do with him. It's even possible that Madrid, Barca, PSG or Bayern would come in for him. Sadly he'll be playing elsewhere next season, I'm getting a bit worried about these Romeu performances, too. But I've faith that we'll unearth or rehabilitate another CB from somewhere, though we're going to need two of the buggers!
  16. Living in close proximity to scousers, it'd even aggrieve the Dalai Lama.
  17. I rate him as very miserable. A surly player only capable of turning in a match winning performance when he feels aggrieved. I'd rather have Lallana back than Mane.
  18. I find Targett a bit ponderous going forward and I flinch every time he goes to make a tackle in the box. I think McQueen looks a better prospect as a modern day full back and, if he's intelligent enough, he'll learn how to defend as well as if not better than Targett. Not sure you could teach Targett to be a bit more confident/adventurous going forward. In conclusion I'd go McQueen for the time being until Bertrand's back, unless he has an absolute stinker.

  20. I'm tempted, it's rubbish but, wearing that, in 20 years time I'd be the coolest 60 something in the stadium. And that'd mean a lot to a 67 year old me. I just know it.
  21. Man utd look awful, so much money spent on what look like really average players. Bloody hilarious long may their descent continue. Just seen Memphis argue himself into the book, a contemptible bunch of players, hope Morgan's enjoying it up there.
  22. Bertrand returning will make a big difference. As he and Forster did last year. Couple of signings to come in, too. Poor performance, though flashes of good play, not worried just yet.
  23. where the **** do the Israeli team play? I take it not in Israel.
  24. Dundalk please so we have a chance of getting some points
