  1. This Europe thing, can someone just clarify that there is no permutation whereby I will need to want Liverpool to beat Seville for Saints to get European football, because I'm not sure I could do it.
  2. Shane, I mean Shane!
  3. Okay, that's true, but he did look like a **** Andy Carroll against City, he really, really did. Granted he looked class against Chelsea, but hey the boy Shame has scored against both Chelsea and City this year, never vanishes!
  4. I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I wouldn't want him here. Bad influence on the team despite his talent. Especially after just witnessing a team more than the sum of it's parts win the title. The thought of seeing Ibrahimovic strutting around demanding to take every free kick, posturing when he doesn't get a pass, celebrating his goals chest out running away from his team mates. Tosser, would rather watch Long week in week out than that man-bunned creep. As I said, I'm sure I'm a minority here, however the Man City fans were spot on with their 'you're just a **** Andy Carroll' song.
  5. Just needs the big teams to come in and take 3 or 4 of Tottenham's best players to make it an excellent summer.
  6. Hahahaha, congratulations Leicester, suck on that Levy!
  7. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3554446/Lawrie-McMenemy-unlikely-prelude-great-Cup-final-upset-lads-laughing-bus-Wembley-Freddie-Starr-sitting-back.html Love the Keegan signing story.
  8. son of a *****
  9. Liverpool have fought back to 3-3, free kick lofted in to the box, drifts over the heads of the players assembled around the penalty spot and drops to a lone Liverpool figure, it's Lovren, he watches the ball onto his foot and catches it so sweetly, think Van Basten's incredible lob volley, only this effort hits the roof of the Kop and Klopp looks like he want's skewer the tit on a corner flag.
  10. Didn't think he was that wonderful in the famous Aston Villa game, I did post at the time that his control looked poor and he took up poor positions (for 12 millions worth). Nothing I've seen since has changed my mind.
  11. Just my opinion on Mane's miserable face at the end, I'd put it down to his annoyance at missing a penalty. Not in the same league, but I set a P.B in archery yesterday and was still annoyed that I'd rattled off 3 or 4 terrible shots. Glad that I got a higher score but more ****ed off because I knew it should have been higher. I imagine Mane and all professional footballers are a lot harder on themselves than I am about a bloody hobby.
  12. Thanks for the post, I didn't start going until 1979 age 10, but I'll be running through your post with my dad to see what he adds. It's strange as a kid I could give a toss about 'the old days' but as you get older you start to find it interesting, usually at the same time you recognise see the eyes glazing over on a 10 year old you're trying to tell about the days before mobiles.
  13. Actually I want to plump for Yoshida
  14. I think it's really close. Toby was reliable, rarely made mistakes and could play left back and midfield. Virgil is far more skilful and a better passer, however, that is offset by his occasional lapses in concentration (reminds me of Ferdinand, the good one) but unlike Toby I think he will produce the odd spectacular strike/pass. In short Toby=safe but dull Virgil= gifted but prone to both sublime and poor moments I'd go Virgil for the excitement
  15. 'twas a thing of beauty, almost as good as him trying to pick a fight with Toure and getting lifted off the ground by the big fella.
  16. Kenyan I know told me that Wanyama translates to 'animal' in Swahili. I like that, just a little bit sad he won't be able to make Costa roll around this weekend.
  17. I think Forster could be getting big money waved under his nose by Liverpool or Man Utd (if De Gea goes) I think Mane's current form may be putting off a few of the big boys. No idea who we'll sign, I'd like to see some young English players brought in, players that are looking to step up a level in the same way Clyne and Rodriguez were.
  18. I forget the name, but every week there's some plank who comes on here stating Ramirez should play. Come forward and identify yourself again after that stunning cameo from the Hull reject.
  19. bloody Wanyama let him run into the box unaccompanied, no doubt it'll be Gazza's fault for the muppets.
  20. 2 shots 2 saves Gazza!
  21. Gazza is back, Gazza is back Wo oh, wo oh
  22. Something wrong behind the scenes? Perhaps Koeman has heard the January plans.
  23. **** off saints, I woke up at 4.45 for this, going back to sleep.
  24. Considering the centre backs we've had since we were linked to Rojo we dodged a bullet there. Though of course he may have a looked majestic next to Fonte and behind Wanyama, but he doesn't behind Schneiderlin and next to (best CB this season according to Hoddle) Smalling.
  25. would have also given someone time to leave early and lay a log on the bonnet of his car.
