Saints Promoted - Post Season Chat
Golac's Cunning Stunts replied to Red and White Army's topic in The Saints
I remember being on here 7 years ago too. I swore I would remember Keane doing his thumbs down. Well today is the day I forget. Well done to all the boys - I am emotional and over the moon. Micky Channon on Twitter - "Southampton Football Club. Brilliant stuff. Nigel, the lads and most important of all the Saints fans. Have a great celebration" Love you Micky. Love you Saints :-) -
Anyone else see the stuff there about signing Collins from Stoke? Southampton are set to sign STOKE CITY’s Welsh international centre-half Danny Collins, 31, on loan for their promotion bid. Collins – back from a spell at IPSWICH – had a medical yesterday before signing and the move could turn into a permanent one.

That would be the same religion that says this? "fight and slay the pagans (or infidels or unbelievers) wherever you find them" (9:5).
-
I had what I considered (for me anyway) a brilliant idea today. I was going to register youareall****s.com and redirect it to Poopey's main OS or a Poopey forum. When I searched, the domain has already been registered, so I can't. Anyone know if you can redirect a domain you own to a domain you don't own? Thanks

No I haven't assumed anything. I was honestly asking whether or not you think that cortese, Adkins etc have considered the risk of paying what is agreeably an extortionate amount of money on a player versus the potential reward of it paying off? And yes I am fully aware that"no other club has spent £10m on a player to get promoted" And that we have a very good chance of getting promoted anyway etc etc. That's why it's called a calculated risk
-
As I said go apply for a job writing headlines for the sun.
-
The person being hysterical is you my friend. I was trying to ask a logical question. Nowhere have I "screamed" that we should buy hooper. I was simply asking why our owners, who are successful business people, and thus well acquainted with taking calculated risks, wouldn't consider buying hooper for £10m with a potential payout of £100m further down the line? You should write headlines for the sun. Calm down.
-
Care to name the cheaper options who will get us to the prem? I do think we need to bolster our campaign. Paying £10m for a striker who scores the goals that turn the losses into draws and draws into wins that eventually mean the difference between promotion and staying in the championship would be money well spent
-
Why is it silly? £10m for a striker who gets you over the finishing line into the premier league is money well spent. Plus, our owners are supposedly billionaires and should be well versed in the merits of investing in assets. Ie taking calculated risks
-
If we have the money available and it isn't going to break the club in any way, then £4m is a gamble well worth taking. The guy looks like a natural goalscorer.

your club has no chane of getting a celtic star player .

Acts of terrorism most probably have their roots in brainwashing that naturally follows on from "spouting sectarian bull****". As a greater man than you or I said "an eye for an eye will make us all blind" that's why I would never welcome either of those teams down to the English leagues -

Oh dear fail I'm afraid. Giving lessons in grammar and you don't know the difference between your and you're -

Or as acceptable as the vast majority of Celtic fans referring to Rangers as Huns. This is why I would never welcome their teams down here. Sectarian bull****. Let them have each other in their ****ty sweaty league. -
If the sweats go ahead and vote for their independence, that will put a final end to talk of a "British League".
-
Go and watch one then mate. Doesn't sound like you're suited to watching a football match.
-
You make me laugh. Where have I said that "ANYONE in AOC's shoes would" not have done the same? You're the one who is naive I'm afraid.
-
Personally I think you are just being an Internet warrior. Booing players who used to play for your club has happened since football was invented. It has Nothing to do with him being a teenager. (Note - must not boo teenagers when I go to football matches - CanadaSaint says it makes me look immature). Stick to Ice Hockey mate.
-
That's my point; it isn't black and white - some will boo all those players, some will boo some of them, some will welcome them all back as heroes. It's football - an emotional game - get over it.
-
I don't think you understand football at all do you? It has nothing to do with him being able to command a wedge from arsenal. And it has nothing to do with " abusing a teenager" Why the **** do you even bring that up? He is an opposition player who used to play for saints. By definition he will therefore come in for some stick. Go to any football ground in the country and see if this doesn't happen. If you don't like it go and get excited over rugby where everyone apparently respects each other.
-
So tell me why exactly we shouldn't boo him? People feel let down that he showed absolutely no loyalty to the club. Why shouldn't he get the same treatment as any other opposition player? Get over yourself it's football not a matter of life and death. Poor little alex will be ok if he gets booed - I'm sure a few million will soon dry his tears.
-
What a load of bland ****e. Why would anyone get excited about that? Fact: He left saints to join Arsenal. As my old dad used to say: don't pay attention to what somebody says; watch what they do. Not interested in his thoughts on saints in the slightest.
-
I never could understand why anybody would want to be a referee? Is it because they were bullied at school and want to get off on the power of bossing people around?
-
Remember this being discussed on here a few years back. Crap journalism. The guy spends most of his time writing about Scottish football and probably should stick to that.
-
Yes maybe. I've never yet met a Scouser I've liked.

Worked there for a number of years. Loved it. Loads to do and buzzing.
