very much so, not a bad return at all from those fixtures. despite not being able to take one of our numerous chances in the first half i'm pretty happy with a point against a class Everton side (although we made them look ordinary in the first 45). there is something about our new gaffer, and i'm not quite sure what it is, but there is something about him that i really like. i think we're going to enjoy his time here. was good to see him talking to the players, rickie in particular, at length before the game. was a bit worried when he was appointed at his lack of english, but he can clearly understand a lot and speak a fair amount. won't be too long i reckon until he is doing interviews in english. on to those utter c*nts man utd. let's go there with positivity and belief that we can take something.

He actually spoke more sense than he usually does. Encouraged fans not to show their anger during the game, but keep any protests for before or after the game. Can't argue with that.

There will have been similar articles or feelings after Pardew was sacked. "Think of the fans!" "Cortese doesn't care about the fans!" "Poor old Saints fans" etc etc, and then that was all quickly forgotten about when Adkins did a great job and gave the fans some of the best times in recent memory. Maybe, just maybe, this guy will be a success and I can't imagine too many will be saying how unfair it all is on the fans if we're pushing up the table/still in the Prem in 2 years time.

There've been plenty of opportunities to get the facepalm out over the last 24hours or so. Impressed that you've been able to hold out this long! This thread is another fascinating insight into the mind of this particular individual, really interesting stuff. Embarrassing for him, sure, but great entertainment for us.

Yep, I'm also in the 95% but it doesn't mean I want Cortese out, nor will I join in any protests or dummy-spitting incidents we may or may not see on Monday night.
