Me too, but I still think we should have got away with it as the rules were very clear. Morally it's a different issue but we actually did nothing wrong. Saying that, I hope we don't go forward with an appeal, I'd rather we just took the punishment and concentrate on having a decent season.

Strange, I watched a one day game at the rose bowl last month and had no problem bringing in plenty of alcohol between the 4 of us. In fact everyone around me was doing the same and openly drinking from cans/bottles they brought in themselves. In the future I think you'll be fine if you bring it in a bag.

you can only laugh at the sad acts like Mr Nice suddenly appearing with their eternal pessimism and pointless posts. there will always be people who need something to be negative about. i feel for those people. that letter from lynam was exactly what we needed. It's obviously far from being a completed deal, but they're clearly committed to the cause and have plans for the long term, which is exactly what we need as sorting out this club won't be a quick fix. If there is one man who can unite this city it's Matty and if this all goes through I can see Southampton being a happy place again in the near futuere. who knows League 1 football might be fun for a season or two with Matty in a position of power and this "substantially wealthy businessman" involved.
