Fry fiddles (not in the corrupt sense) while Rome burns
niceandfriendly replied to OldNick's topic in The Saints
There's been a few on here recently. I wish to take this moment to be the first one to shout... FRY OUT -
Lol this was a very funny read. I was being too kind to the guy in my first judgement of him I think.
-
What a completely useless thread... this forum has been full of them for a little while. There's too many people on here who are too concerned with feeling powerful and impressing others by posting these tidbits without giving any worthwhile information or detail. Put up or shut up.

Apart from the fact that none of his plans actually worked out, am I the only one who doesn't think that interview was too bad? Whether or not what he was actually saying was truthful or a load of boll**ks is debateable, but I thought the way he conducted himself was quite respectable. He was certainly honest in his views. All IMHO of course.

Good idea. Don't waste your time searching for and writing up info on where to buy a Kebab in each city though. A kebab is a kebab and they're not exactly hard to find. Other than that, good thinking.

Mark Fry- Not as great as we thought?

This post is unbelievable. First this... and then this... At least it's given us all a good laugh, cheers OP. -
The referee last week - complaint update
niceandfriendly replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I've no opinion on the Wotton incident, but just wanted to point out that our penalty it was far from "soft". Euell was in a great position and his shirt was almost pulled off his back. Blatent pen which could have been spotted from the McDonalds in Basingstoke. -
I did enjoy Killer milking the applause before the game and kissing the Saints badge on his top. Hope he can stay with us.

The support today was unbelievable. Well done to all Saints fans today, we all made it a day to remember (off the pitch).

What, are you expecting some sort of instant reply from the Football League? We're not cricket players appealing for an LBW, it'll take time.

Boxing - Pacman V Hatton, Froch V Taylor
niceandfriendly replied to revolution saint's topic in General Sports
Quite unlikely IMO. Out of Pacquiao's last 10 fights, only 2 have finished before the 8th round - (one of those being a third round knock out of Morales in Pacquiao v Morales III, which proved to be Morales penultimate fight before retiring as he was past it) and as Hatton is the strongest/biggest fighter Pacquiao has faced it'd be very surprising if Manny ended it early. -
Boxing - Pacman V Hatton, Froch V Taylor

Would be a disaster for Hatton and for boxing. Won't happen thankfully. Hatton will be up against it with Pacquiao's speed but as Manny comes forward Hatton will be able box on the inside as he likes to, which he wasn't allowed to do against Mayweather. I think Hatton will be too powerful for Pacquiao, especially considering it's at light-welterweight which is Rickys natural division. -
I've got a lot of love to give, but I wouldn't want any going to Wupes.

No I think you're right, I don't think it'll happen either. Let's just hope he doesn't return for the sake of this city and it's people. It'd be depressing being at St Mary's knowing Lowe was in charge, but I just know that I wouldn't be able to stay away.
-
There's a difference between hate and obsession. If I was obsessed with hating Lowe I would rather the club folded than have him back. Honest question, if Mark Fry was to come out next week and state in a press conference that the only offer he had received was from Rupert Lowe which he decided to turn down and has therefore liquidated Southampton Football Club, would you be pleased?
-
I still find it hard to believe that people would rather see the club fold than to see Lowe back at St Marys. I hate Lowe just as much as the next man (and yes we should make it clear that we don't want him back) and hold him responsible for the majority of our problems over the past few years, but surely we'd pay any price just to see our beloved club remain for the future generations?
-
Well we already know that's not the case.
-
I like the idea of making a loud statement against Lowe's return, but I don't see how a large attendance at Eastleigh FC's play-off game is going to send shockwaves all the way up to Cheltenham.
-
Quite. It'd need to be a completely new 'organisation'. Is that the right word? The idea would need a new figurehead with a little bit of money, business sense, one or two contacts and someone who is not just interested in self-promotion.
-
The Saints trust, SISA, Nick Illingsworth, True Saints (are there any difference between that lot?) and any other fans group which have been so desperate to be in the limelight in recent years would need to stay well away from any new club which is formed. Hearing the same names branded around would just bring back bad memories from the past few years of the countless squabbling and *****-fighting which has occurred. Just like if Lowe returned to SFC, it'd be a disaster if any of these people/groups were to be involved.
