Yes but it would only work if it was started and organised by someone who had a little bit of money and know-how. It'd be pointless if we were playing in a field in the lowest possible pub type league, but if we had a little stadium nearby like AFC Wimbledon are using and we had a Chairman who could at least afford to buy one or two players on the cheap then it might work. But let's not even think about it yet, Southampton FC as we know it will not die.

They put up the 4 minutes of injury time when the clock was on 89minutes 29seconds, they didn't play anywhere near enough added time.

What a brilliant idea. I have a Season Ticket but I've already bought a ticket for this game anyway, so may donate it tomorrow if I get to the stadium in time. Was quite impressed with Fry on SSN actually. He seemed much more confident than he did in hsi first interview - probably all this press/media attention and TV appearances he's been making! He seemed 100% confident that the FL were wrong in their decision and will appeal. I'd rather he found us a buyer though as I fear that's our biggest worry rather than a points deduction. Where did you guys hear him say they were in a due diligence stage with two potential buyers? Was this on Solent?

Possible but it won't happen. I think Norwich will win at least one of their games. Ipswich are shocking at home and Reading are in dreadful form so they'll be fine. I think Forest will beat Blackpool and then probably beat us too. I think that's so much more likely, but you never know eh?

We are lucky to have them, I totally agree. We're lucky to live where we do, not only southampton, but to be so close to the New Forest and surrounding areas - it's a cracking part of the world.

Shame that some people like wessex saint were bundled in with the abuse, but what is the point in turning up to a game only to leave on 70 minutes because we were 3-1 down? Or was that exactly it? To "make a point"? To all those who left so early, shame on you, you deserved all the abuse you got. In a time where all fans needed to stay together to support the team, you all thought "**** it".

I think it'd work. As you say, not all would, but when prompted on the spot whether they'd like to pay double to support the club, I'd imagine a good percentage of fans would be willing and able.
