  1. still got my grass, goring in a pot, looks a little worse for wear though. i also have some adhered to a sheet of paper
  2. swann is a quality 20/20 player. Would have liked to have seen 1 surprise inclusion from county cricket like napier or joe denly. same old same old. I dont agree with awarding michael vaughan a central contract though, he will never play for england again IMO.
  3. I would prefer later opening times as I cant get to sms before work and I cant get there after work until 6:15pm. tried to get carling cup tickets after work a few weks ago but it was shut, i was much annoyed. and you couldnt get them online...
  4. they havent the last two years
  5. because 1 striker does not work. Teams havent been playing 4-4-2 for over a hundred years because it doesnt work. 1 striker is for teams who want to go away and get a point, not to play every game. 4-2-1-2-1 is a naff formation. We could play a 4-3-3 system where the two wing forwards can slot back into midfield when we are in the lead. Similar to what chelsea used to play. Not really the same quality players but we have some cent wingers in Dyer and Holmes who could be the respective wing forwards. ---------------------------Davis---------------------------- James-----------Svensson-----------Perry-----------Surman --------Wotton--------Schneiderlin--------lallana-------- ------Dyer--------John--------Holmes------
  6. wednesday the 10th, we'll all be dead
  7. i enjoy the occasion of england games more and enjoy world cups and euro championships that we are in. Where as saints is more of a following
  8. Its a bit of a win win situation though, either they successfully unlock the beginnings of life or the world implodes on itself and no one is around to have a go at them. They must have Max Clifford as their PR man...

  10. Man United have always had a good youth system and that is the way to keep good player coming through, i.e. scholes, giggs et al. I think as long as the way the club is run is sustainable I dont see the problem with spending big money. the way Chelsea spend money is not sustainable, because they are building debt, whereas Arsenal are trying to become well run and make profit. i heard the Hull chairman the other day that they are technically the richest club in the prem, by virtue of having no debt.
  11. Aston Villa seem to be the sort of club other clubs could aspire to be. Wealthy, good manager and they still care about the local community (local charity on team kit)
  12. From the video I saw, BWP was just watching whereas Dyer was doing some rummaging.
  13. I'm not a big fan of our 'system' becaise it lonly allows for one striker, you definitely need 2. Even 3-5-2 would be better than one striker, leaves the lone striker isolated. Stern is a great hold up player and would be more effective with a striker playong off him, even if it is McGoldrick....
  14. if we lose im putting a bet on us to go down, if we win the next two I might go the other way!
  15. its an embarassment that program, peter beagrie and don goodman are bloody annoying. And sky are obsessed with leeds. i watch big league weekend 2 just to see the goals.
  16. http://www.brfcforum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=79169&st=0&gopid=1021395entry1021395 not highly rated!
  17. poor singing IMo, its just making a buy for the sake of it. We need a decent striker not another midfielder, and he's a skate...
  18. ive met him face to chest and he is 5' 4"
  19. 2006/2007 before we lost to southend me thinks
  20. i voted for him as man of the match yesterday, did really well. Got back and defended and made jay mceveley look like a mug.
  21. we always do well in Pro40. Our team is pretty geared up for one day games, good bowlers and big hitters down the order. Whereas in the four day game, we need big hitters at the top of the order and after another failure from carberry I cant see who is going to get 100 plus in the top four.
  22. Well after that stunning century, im glad to hear it. the middlesex bowlers didnt have an answer. If they bowled length they went out the ground and when they bowled full he came down the wicket to them. Bob Willis sounded genuinely excited when he got the century.
  23. i was talking about the attendance to my mate on the way to balckpool we reckon there will be between 14-17000. TV, early kick off, no away fans and summer hols. Hope we do get a few in though. I think to get over 20k will be a tough ask.
  24. at the time i thought it was mcgoldricks, but seeing it back on tv makes me think it was lallana
  25. i'm so glad we beat those smug gits, I hope they lose every week. I wonder if they will run on the pitch and taunt the away fans if they actually win a home game!
