The one I've linked here is the one we have in our kitchen, but this is a site that lists reviews on others too. http://www.ricability.org.uk/consumer_reports/at_home/digital_radio/summary_test_reports/philips_ae4800_05/

I thought this rang a bell - did in in January on this thread. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?42855-Can-you-name-the-Top-31-Southampton-Premier-League-Scorers&highlight=neil+maddison

As perrenial strugglers in the 90's, we as fans are used to a relegation battle or two, and usually they're a lot harder than this season's. Thankfully, then, we had Mr Le Tissier to come up with wondrous magic and 'single-handedly' keep us up season after season. It wasn't single-handedly of course, but his name shines out for scoring at important times. We've also seen the effect a short term player like Mickey Evans had on our chances of staying up. So, this season, I ask you - Ignoring the possibility of relegation, who would you like to be our hero and keep us up? The player that sticks in memory of being the one that, without him, we'd have gone down? For me it would be Ramirez, justifying his price tage at just the right time. I'd love to see him finish the season in red hot form, meaning either a more healthy transfer fee in the summer, or someone to really look forward to next season.

Madness this late in the season to sack a manager - the new boss has to come in, learn everyone's names, positions and nuances, and then be some sort of magician to keep them up. Following QPR's recent resurgence in form, I have Reading as finishing bottom under McDermott, and today's decision only confirms my thought that they'll be bottom in May. McDermott was probably the best person to get them promoted again, and now he's gone. I'd be very surprised if Adkins goes there - no manager wants a relegation on his CV, even if it is to try and do a rescue job over the last 9 games of the season. This sacking should have been done much earlier if it was going to happen. I bet the plastic Reading fans will be arsed off tonight.
-
Reading bottom, then QPR, then one of Wigan, Villa, us or one of the teams pundits currently say are safe, like Sunderland or West Ham. Our form is rubbish so I'm tempted to say US, but the Saint in me says it'll be Villa, who have risked a lot on youngsters that haven't delivered consistantly this season.

What's the best platform for it? PC or PS3? With the old Tomb Raiders I always played them on the PC, but now have a PS3 (and still have a Wii) so would like to know which gameplay is the best. (I did have Tomb Raider Anniversary, I think it was, on the Wii but it was cack.)

I voted no, based on us throwing points away, and at present I still wouldn't change that. Our saving grace this season will be having three teams worse than us over the course of the season. People now are saying QPR have a chance. No, they got a result against us but that doesn't mean they'll win their last 10. I can still see them going down, they've been awful this season. Villa too risked a lot on young lower league players, and Benteke aside they've been poor too. I still think they'll go down and regret their policy (but will perhaps do the best of any of the relegated sides next season.). For the other spot, it's us, Reading or Wigan and from what I saw of Reading vs Wigan, I just think Reading are short on quality and that will be their downfall. We have been very fortunate this season that our 'lower league' players have stepped up, Lallana, Lambert, Puncheon, Cork, Schneiderlin and Fonte and that is why we'll stay up. Reading's, largely, have not. We'll pick up the results we need, but at the moment I would keep my vote as a No, as it is THAT close to call. It may well go down to the last game of the season. (Where I think we'll do Stoke if needed.)

This. I had my Norwich-supporting missus next to me in the Kingsland with a right moody face on. Loved it. For Deano it has to be the long range goal he scored against Leeds on the opening day of last season - set us up for a good start.
-
Will we stay up? Who knows, possibly, but we have to play well ALL the time and not screw up against the likes of QPR. Relegation would see us losing all our key players, and while the CHampionship isn't a bad league, I'd rather see us in the Premier League next season with Pochettino's reinforcements. Losing Ramirez wouldn't bother me too much, it'd be losing the likes of Lallana, Shaw, Lambert and Morgan that would really hurt. Getting us over the 30 point mark would be huge mentally, let's hope we can achieve that against Norwich. (More so because the game holds a personal meaning for me.)

Yesterday was an easy win chance gone by as a loss, but I still think, in spite of yesterday, we need 4 more wins to survive, possibly even only 3. It sounds easy but then we should have won yesterday tbf. QPR have some false hope now, at least I hope it's false hope - I'd hate to have given QPR the start of a winning run of fixtures that would get them out of it and make Redknapp a hero to everyone around the globe.
-
Poor result but thankfully it hasn't cost us too much, besides West Ham winning. We need to sort this out - relegation is a very real possibility, it has been all season, so let's get survival out of the way before we start looking at "10th place" as a recent thread had it. I said in the pre-match thread I was nervous about this game and so it proved. It will give us an almighty kick up the arse - but that's effectively one of our easiest games gone by with a defeat. Would I have taken a point before the game? No, the win was gettable. I'd have taken it on 80 minutes though! Still, I'd rather our position than QPR's...
-
It was Ramirez's goal. Incidentally I Google imaged Wet Fannies. I liked it.
-
I'll take a draw. HAH! Still plenty of time to get back into this (although ask again at 80 minutes if the scoreline is the same!) QPR will sit on this scoreline now.
-
Absolutely against the run of play. Was that Fox's fault? My stream is pants, but the camera was all over him after we conceded...
-
Realised you cannot beat the Don, apologised, and has played some of the best football of his career this season. Long may it continue.

Win this and we're as good as safe, lose this and we're as good as down. Well nobody is saying either, but surely we've never had an easier chance to pick up three points this season. We're playing well, I even thought we did well against Newcastle from what I saw despite losing, and in my mind we'll pick up the three points. That said though, we are Saints and we've all supported the club long enough to know we do things the hard way. Under Pochettino though, all selected eleven players should turn up and give good performances, and add to that any subs that could come on and make a difference and we should be fine. QPR fans are deluded enough to think they have a chance of survival. I'd take our position over their's, and our fixtures over theirs too. For them to stay up would take a miracle of monumental proportions that would beat any of our, or Wigan's, Premier League survivals. The chance of a double over them, and to be one of the clubs that knocks a nail into their coffin, would be sweet. Still nervous though.

Parsnips for me too, forgot them. But only roasted, the wife made me this parsnip pasta recently and I didn't like it. Oh, those gherkins in Maccy D's hamburgers. Used to be a picker, now I'm an eater.

I cant even remember the name of the ACE Center Back we signed recently
SNSUN replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
Was he English or foreign? Perhaps American, like your spelling of 'centre'... -
Poor player, thank God Shaw slipped into left back with consumate ease when he did. I've still seen enough under MP to think we'll survive but pray Shaw stays fit.
-
We have enough quality on the bench to turn this around. I still hope for a draw, but keep it tight - the only result that would suck is a heavy loss.

Newcastle look quite good when getting it forward...

QPR are surely down. Anyone hear the caller on TalkSport last night, saying they could easily win their next five games. The caller then got reminded they've won two games all season. Caller went on to say well they could at least get 9 points from those games. That still won't be good enough egghead. Deluded. Weirdly I met an attractive 19 year old QPR fan in Windsor last night. I didn't mention relegation once... (For the record I'm happily married and was a good boy.)
-
Looking at the two teams I think Newcastle could do us, but let's not get too deflated if that happens! A draw would be a good result IMO.

My missus loves word jumbles because she claims she's a "fact nut". Yeah, well I've got another anagram for that for her...
