I'm not sure about realistic but Eliseu would be a cracking signing from Malaga, who've done very well despite their financial frailties. He's a lightning quick left back/left midfielder who can score goals, and he's 29, so not a long term disruptor to Shaw's progress. I do see Pochettino going back to Spain to sign a few people - and I do think we're in for a surprising and very exciting summer transfer-wise.

Alex Ostlund living up to his nickname?

We won't go down, but after villa's win tonight there's a real possibilty we could finish 17th. Which would be a massive anticlimax after the season we've had. Just a few more points, 3 or 4, would probably see us finish 12th-14th, though my predo is 15th. 9 points though would see us finish top half. Let's GET THEM!

Lose the next two but win on the last day. 42 points, probably finish 15th.

Sad news. RIP Kevin.

I think his biggest mistake was not bringing in Nigel Quashie. :-) Or is Jenas the new Quashie?

Pampers. Unlimited supply for Puncheon.

No Fox, no Ramirez. Is this a good thing? Questions need to be asked about the performance against WBA, but I do believe we have a manager who'll give the lads a ruddy good rollocking and get them to up their performance against Spurs. What do we reckon of the team? Will Shaw be fit? Will Forren get his debut? Puncheon in? For me, if Shaw's fit and Cork didn't get a knock, I'd actually keep the same team as yesterday but with Shaw at left back. Which means keeping faith in Jos. I must be radio rental. But then I'm not picking the team. Scoreline predictions too please. I reckon Mr Bale will tear us a new one, but with an improved performance we'll only lose by the odd goal in 3. 2-1 Spuds.

Junior Hoilett is still young and with the right tuition and a good team around him I feel he could be a good player for the future. I haven't seen enough of Remy since he joined to suggest he'd be a good signing, his cracking goal against Wigan aside. Otherwise, no. I wouldn't touch Reading's players with a bargepole. Weren't we linked to Granero a while ago?

Goodbye to both. What a dire game of football. I genuinely tuned in today to watch the match hoping to see an open, goal laden game with both throwing caution to the wind and playing for pride. I should've known. It was a terrible game with a real lack of quality that perfectly highlighted why both clubs are going down. QPR just edged it if you had to decide it on points (a la Boxing) but the Premier League will be richer for not having these two in it next season. I'm not fussed with QPR so much, aside from glee from seeing Redknapp damage his CV again, but I'm not a fan of Reading with the number of friends and acquaintances I have that were suddenly Reading fans earlier in the season and who now have gone quiet. Watching how QPR deal with the amount of money they have spent on transfers and wages next season will make interesting viewing. How long will Fernandes stick it out? One spot left...

Hasn't looked the same since his injury but I still love him and think a full pre-season and fully fit next season and he'll be flying again. Shouldn't be captain though. With Ramirez suspended though, we're relying on Lallana for creativity for the rest of the season, so let's hope he comes good.

Yes, just, because Wigan or Villa will take that last relegation spot. For Saints, 16th is probably the lowest we'll finish with the points tally we have currently, but while the last 3 games suddenly look tough, I can see a point or three in there. 14th or higher would be OK, but it does look like we've blown a top half finish, unless we find that form that saw us beat Liverpool and Chelsea recently.

SAINTS 0-3 West Bromwich Albion // Post-Match Reaction
SNSUN replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Two draws and a loss against mid-table opposition recently is worrying, it shows we're not quite there yet. I can't see where the next point is coming from either, hopefully we'll pick something up against Spurs but with Sunderland and Stoke getting points lately, neither of them will be pushovers. I'm not concerned about going down anymore, I think we're safe enough as it is what with Wigan showing their crapness of late, but finishing 16th for example would be an anticlimactic end to the season, especially from having a top ten spot within our grasp. Well done West Brom. Perhaps it's best for us to forget this one. -
Davis. Seemingly a shoe in for a first team spot under Pochettino and was Rangers captain to boot. Leave Lallana and Rickie to do what they do. That all being said I wouldn't be against Rickie or Morgan getting the captaincy, both would do very good jobs.

My thoughts on Fox are in the build up thread. Today's sending off could be the end of his Southampton career. He's not a Premier League left back, and we shouldn't have to feel nervous about what performance our left back is going to turn in when we read the team sheet. Left back is a spot hopefully Pochettino has an eye on sorting out in the summer - and while Shaw is our future, I wouldn't be against him bringing in a top left back to provide competition for Shaw. It's a long season and Shaw will only be 18 - plenty of time for him and the new left back to get game time, thus not stunting Shaw's development. I thank Fox for a solid nPC season, and wish him well, but I truly hope I don't see him in a Saints shirt next season. All comments are IMO.

Fox looked OK against West Ham and as has been said eventually got to grips with the game last week at Swansea but I'm sorry, I really don't want to see him in a Saints shirt next season. The initial reaction to the news when he plays every week is "oh Lord, where's Shaw?!?" Competent enough to do a job as cover, some people say, but not for me. If we aspire to achieve the next level of football next season and challenge higher up the table, the likes of Fox need to be moved on. There, I said it. Funnily enough earlier in the season some people were saying the same about Jos but recently nobody's batted an eyelid to his inclusion. I'm pleased, because I like Jos since he joined, he gives his all and is good in the air. I feel sorry for Fonte but it's a team game and there are two centre backs better than him at present. Still Saints to win today and move above Fulham and West Ham.

....in your opinion? There's so much choice, especially with the progress humans have made in the last 100 years. What do you think? Here's a list to give you ideas... http://technology.lilithezine.com/101-Inventions.html It's actually very difficult when you think about it. So many good and key inventions, but I think one of the highest nominated things though would be the Internet, connecting the world all over and changing the way we shop (for instance) and entertain ourselves. Discuss... (Mr Jack Daniels' invention is highly rated by myself too.)

The person crazy enough to do it is obviously Boruc, but I reckon Punch has it in him to wrap his chops around somebody. Just by looking at Luis Suarez though, you can see his potential to bite someone, what with those chompers. The same could be said of Big Gnashers Lucke Chadwick. ...or any of these. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/898787-15-freaky-faces-in-world-football#/articles/898787-15-freaky-faces-in-world-football

If we decide to build a new stadium, can we get Dyson Airblades fitted?

A QPR fan I work with doesn't think QPR will get ANY more points this season - he's tipping a Reading win this weekend.

Do urinal cakes make any difference to the experience of weeing at SMS?

Is it me, or have they started putting more hand towel in the bogs? I was relieved that I could dry my hands at half time against West Ham. (And though he wouldn't have known it, the bloke in front of me would have been relieved that his coat didn't come to my rescue.) -
Anything that would bring about a twitch measurable on the Richter scale would be funneh. Although I do think QPR would win. The plastic Reading fans that I have to associate with every week in my normal life have gone very, very quiet lately.

Crap - I found a solitary ticket in Green at the front of the Itchin - the Ticket office were making all the individual seats orange - but by the time it came to pay they'd locked me out the system. Thought I was in luck there. I guess that means no last game of the season for me. You lot are too quick.
