The 'How long until they bring out the JPT Final DVD' Sweepstake thread.
SNSUN replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
What did it ever do to you? :smt107:D -
We should ask Johnstones Paint or the Football League or whoever owns it for the giant Saints flag the was dangling down under the inflatable balloons on the pitch. Thought that was impressive.
-
They'd be more effective playing for the Royals.
-
With Cashley injured and Bridge ruling himself out, they should give Harding a look! ;-)
-
Sometimes I get the feeling he doesn't even know we're in League One! Serie A to Premiership is usually the norm. He's great, turning into a real cult hero. Despite the lack of starts this season, I'd snap him up given the chance.
-
I'll be there. I was going on my tod until I realised it was a 3pm kick off and not a 7:45 kick off. (I'm a doughnut.) So bought another for the other half. She can drive down, she doesn't know it yet, but I'm fed up of staying sober for Saints games due to driving.

I have you know I've sung all over the world, including the Sydney Opera House twice. (and that's a rather embarrassing FACT, although it was when I was between the ages of 9 and 14.)
-
It's not even worth thinking about the other teams until closer to the end of the season. Saints must win all their games, that's all they should be fixated on. The loss of form of the other clubs is dealt with by fate.
-
Missing out on Wembley sucks for him, but it also means other clubs couldn't cast their beedy little eyes over him. How much did you think Lambert and Lallana's stock has risen because of the final...
-
What would we do without ML on a Saturday afternoon without the club, watching the cricket or some such thing. 62? Thought he was much older than that...
-
I did think he was the poorest player on the pitch for us on Sunday, however, he is still a Saints player, and as such should be applauded. (Oh, and by Saints player I mean one that actually plays for us - ahemPulisMolyneuxForecastahem....) On that note, I read today that Portsmouth have axed Niemi. While I thought a Saints legend would be tarnishing his name by joining them, I find out he never played a first team game and has taken nearly half a million quid in wages. So maybe he's not so bad after all...

Watching the highlights, I notice Papa got back quickly to defend a Carlisle attack - tackled the Carlisle lad in the box too. If his work rate is improving, that can only be a good thing.
-
Promotion THIS season, I'm not even concerned with the Premiership, It'd just be nice to be back in the nPower Championship.
-
I thought Lambert has played at Wembley THREE times anyway, not twice. :-)
-
It was a strange feeling, I too, thought it would be comfortable, at 4-0 up I started to wonder whether it was a pre-game practise match, and the real thing was going to take place shortly afterwards. Carlisle contributed to their own downfall though in a major way - myself and a few people around me all saw Papa's goal happening as soon as Rickie had crossed the ball in - it was as if we knew their defender was going to balls it up.

I was in an aisle seat. I can't remember if I was standing for the penalty or not, but it's better sitting on the aisle IMO. (Aside from standing up every bleeding 30 seconds to let somebody go for a pee/burger/beer/**** knows what people are doing instead of watching Saints play at Wembley...)
-
Major lol at that. I'm just sorry it was at your misfortune! In penance, I promise not to eat another banana. (Meh, I don't really like them anyway, and my missus loathes them.)
-
I did that. It was a bit cheeky, but I thought "sod it", if I lose I lose. I got quite drunk on Saturday night, and stuck £50 on a Ladbrokes double - I win £90 in total if it ended a draw or Carlisle win. I lost £50. My biggest ever bet. I don't care. We won, and I saw it. (I can just nick what I lost out the missus's bank account anyway, I know her pin...)

I was near the front of 524. I was singing, a guy behind me was singing, and a few lads at the front were singing, but it was tough going. It wasn't so bad once the singing had started, it was just getting it going. (No Northam like there is at SMS.) I didn't check the Wembley lay-out when I booked my ticket, I was told I was right on the halfway line, which I wasn't, but I didn't mind too much because I was, in relation to the pitch, exactly where I usually sit in the Kingsland.

Saints 4-1 Carlisle - 2010 JPT Champions - Reaction
SNSUN replied to Block 5's topic in Golden Posts
They've already got us in the CCC in the 2011-2012 season. -
I usually think scrolling ads on the side of pitches are a distraction, but I didn't think those were too bad. Colourful (in keeping with the sponsor I'm sure) and the "Congratulations Southampton" was excellent.
-
By the way guys, my dad was the moustachioed Station Supervisor at West Ruislip for those of you who went that way. He says you were all brilliant (he has to put up with his own son being a Saints fan), and he even made £3 in tips. (You cheapskates!) He said he had a lot of fun trying to rub you all up the wrong way. Oh, and for the record, he's a Torquay fan, so he hasn't got much to laugh about this season...

A thoguth for those players who missed out

THat's what I meant, he'd have started at right back if he'd been fit enough. -

If they had any sense, they'd have it ready and on sale in the Megastore by the Leyton Orient game on Easter Monday. Yes, that's only eight days after the final, but Saints fans will still be celebrating the win, and St Mary's IMO will be sold out that day, they'd make a mint. -

...and Lloyd James. Must be hard to miss out to injury.
