And then just because they (seemingly most of the teams in the bottom 5 or 6 places) spend big, does not mean that they are going to be a success. I look at Austin for £4m and say, yup, that's good and strengthened a position that has caused some concern over the past season and a half.

What I find strangest, is that a player who can't get into the Spurs team on a regular basis, isn't wanted and supposedly is fairly average, has increased his wages from £20k p/w to £55k. Desperate times I guess, and NUFC are prepared to give this massive increase on the back of doing nothing.

There are many people who want to talk about football in general. The Lounge isn't appropriate nor is General Sports, so it goes under The Saints. It obviously bothers some, so why not ask Admin whether they can create a General Football sub forum. Really poor of the BBC in which games they chose. OK, Friday night's Derby vs MUFC is understandable, but Saturday, why choose Liverpool vs WHU? It's the FA Cup not the PL, and there are no commercial pressures on them to get advertising etc.

None. Basically am not interested in other teams, save for when I lived abroad I used to occasionally go and watch my local Ligue 1 team. But even then it felt a little hollow. I used to be taken as a nipper down to Dean Court once in a blue moon when we weren't playing at home, but they are a very dim and distant memory.
