Really sad and pathetic that 1 of the starting 22 was English.

I couldn't get past why the Chinese would be drinking sake rather than mijiu!

More complete and utter tosh: I have no idea what they are trying to achieve. We also recently had lots of eToro videos on Saints Youtube channel. Maybe I am a bit older than the target audience!!

While players do slot into different positions, Redmond isn't a centre forward. He's primarily a left wing, switching at times to the right wing. He has to compete with Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho for those positions.

He hasn't been picked to play for Tunisia, and has been for France U17 and U18. Do you know whether there is any intention of signing up with Tunisia?

Boca Juniors sent scouts, but he is too expensive. Looking at their record spend... https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/club-atletico-boca-juniors/transferrekorde/verein/189 .. they're not going to make a proper bid. However, if we can get £10m for him, I'd take it. Signed for €20m on 3.5 years and 2 years remaining, which is a tad under €11.5m (or £10m ish). TBH I would let him go for £8m and cut our losses putting it down to a hugely expensive error in letting the ex manager sign him. But maybe the lure of Boca will overcome the loss in wages, so who knows, maybe it will work.

Strange though, that we have all those out on loan (ignoring their actual ability) RB - Soares CF - Carrillo AM - Boufal CB - Hoedt I think it safe to say that Hoedt is the most divisive character (or maybe he isn't, as there is stiff competition), but he did help Lazio finish 5th in Serie A the season before we bought him. He did get in the Dutch national team. He wasn't great for us last season, but I do think that he has what it takes, if he can be coached properly. As it stands, we have Vester, Bednarek, Yoshi, Stephens and Hoedt. That's 5 CBs which is too many. Of the others, it rather depends what one's view of Valery is and whether Soares, would a) make a good back up and b) be happy to play second fiddle. I suspect not to the last bit. Boufal - who knows? I like him and hope he can play for us. Carrillo is now 27 and should be at the peak of his playing career. He has played 214 senior A league games, and scored 48 goals, which equates to 8.5 goals over a 38 game season (which is just a tad more than Shane Long's record). That just isn't good enough.

No not really. I come here for football, not asinine posts on politics.
-
Very grown up post. Well done fella.

Politics and sport don't mix (not least cos you are a thick fcker and Southampton voted leave as well!) PS Old Rupes has become an MEP for the Brexit Party for the West Midlands

I always like it when 3rd place go up, as that is how it should be and not left to the Play Offs, which to me are mainly about money. I know L1 was close this year, but I always thought that they should bring in a rule that if 3rd place finishes a certain number of points ahead of 4th, say 6 for the sake of it, then they should automatically go up and there be no play offs. The season we came up....Reading 89, us 88, WHU 86, Brum 76, Blackpool/Cardiff 75. West Ham did come up, by they were so far ahead of 4th-6th that if they hadn't it would have been a travesty.

God there's some sh1t posted on this forum.

Or maybe another way of looking at things (and grasping a bit here!!) is that Ralph didn't have time mid way through a **** season to coach Hoedt in the way he wants him to play, but given a full pre-season.......!!
-
Well it actually has.

I'm sure it's not the case, but seeing as the away shirt looks OK, I wonder if they designed that one first, and then said how can we do the home shirt with the top bit. Is anyone any good with changing pictures, as would be interested to see what the home shirt looked like if the black top was changed to red (or white).

Out of interest, if Arsenal signed him today, could he play in the Europa League final?

It's a dreadful kit. Its strange, but on threads like this, people make mock ups which are so much better than the official one. This is one of the nastiest kits we have ever had, and I do not know who signed it off and why they thought it a good idea. Pride before a fall, and we should scrap it and go for the one in this post: https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?60871-For-the-hell-of-it-the-2019-20-Kit-Thread&p=2735347#post2735347 But sadly, there will still be those who shell out on something that is really so very very very nasty. I'm sure the Club read these boards, so in future, might I suggest that you actually ask some of the supporters what they think of the shirt, because they would have told you that this one was utter utter garbage.

Sometimes people just need a new challenge, and I am pleased for them both. A change of scenery. Tadic has blossomed again at Ajax, and Fonte seems to have had a second wind too. Let's not forget Fonte was awful at West Ham.

Well, the window closes at 5pm on August 8th so not sure August 31st is going to be possible.

Ah, the off season. 'Tis the time when Fry becomes even more supercilious than normal.

Usually when you are quite so dismissive, it helps to be less pithy and explain your thoughts a bit.

The last "true" champions were Leicester

Which commentator isn't?

In other leagues..... while it might be unlikely, AS Monaco could be relegated this evening.

My 1977 Admiral shirt is still going strong. A little tight for me, but the lads had it, and moved on from that as well now. Best keep it for the grandkids.
