  1. He said way back that he was going to go back to Rangers and he has. Good for him. Hope it works out next year.
  2. I'm in Kingsland Premium and ST renewed at same price as last year. To give a slightly different view. I do buy the odd extra ticket when wanting to take friends over and above the 2 STs we have, and think that the difference between the average price per game on the ST, and the extra (non-ST) ticket makes you question why buy a ST?? I pay an already huge £737 for 19 games = £38.79 a game. Apart from Derby home game, I think the last one I bought was a £49 one for the Arsenal game, which I presume would now be £65 for the 19/20 season, either as a Cat A* or Cat A. I guess these new pricings incentivise buying a ST. But having said all that, all ticket prices are too expensive. and the other way of doing things could have been keeping non ST tickets the same price, and lowering the cost of a ST. But it would be naive to think that that would happen. At least they haven't brought in the ridiculous idea of paying up to £1500 for a ST as per that stupid questionnaire at the back of last year.
  3. I linked to an article in the Sun that said we would get £15m, although subsequently looking at that, it was from last year. I'm happy to cut my nose off to spite my face on this one. It's bad enough already, with all the Liverpool acolytes out there, especially in the press. I know someone who follows Liverpool a lot, and took the **** out of him last night. The best bit was that Liverpool dominated Barca and the stats proved it. I did point out that 3-0 suggested otherwise and that possession and shots were about equal to which the reply was that Barca usually were 70/30 possession rather than 48/52.
  4. Poor old Pompey
  5. I'm fairly sure they didn't. They might have questioned why he didn't pull the trigger more often.
  6. It seems that there are some add ons with Tadic that will take it up to about £11.5-12m
  7. Happy to have renewed this morning for once, after seasons of saying it was my last and I was giving it all up. Amazing what a decent manager can do to one's whimsical outlook on things!! Ticket office very helpful in sorting out a small complication with the tickets.
  8. Listening to a Dutch journo on talkSport, he said that the PL doesn't suit all players, and Tadic was a prime example. Too pressing, too many games, too physical. As for the "measly sum", what value would they think appropriate? This is their list of transfer records: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ajax-amsterdam/transferrekorde/verein/610 so we might have managed to squeeze a couple of million more out of them, although we have no idea what the terms of the sale were and if there were any bonuses. He'd been with us for 4 years, and wanted to leave. What should we have done, tied him up? And I suspect that there were no higher bids, or if there were, then not significantly higher.
  9. I've seen some Spuds thinking that if Poch is off, that Ralph would make a good replacement in a year or two.
  10. If only. I would be content using rubber once a month for a week.
  11. Just seen it. Bizarre.....but Leeds weren't going to get 2nd so they could afford to be magnanimous. Villa also unlikely to finish outside of top 6.
  12. Isnt Cedric coming back from loan?
  13. Hughes: P14 W1 D6 L7 Kelvin: P1 W0 D0 L1 Ralph: P21 W8 D5 L8 Now of course one would have hoped some of those draws could have been turned into wins....today, Watford, Burnley, and maybe not lose twice to Cardiff. Fine margins, but with taking on the squad mid-season, happy to survive as Hughes was crap.
  14. Took their time about it. Long was much quicker
  15. Probably the same as the German for it. HTH.
  16. Walcott 32 games in PL, 4 goals. Long 23 games in PL, 4 goals.
  17. It always makes me think about the game on Valentines Day 1994 when we beat Liverpool 4-2, when Grobb didn't stop that Le Tiss shot at his near post.
  18. Shurlock, think it more a case he wants to go to Madrid.
  19. This is one of those nonsense posts that are far too revisionist. We all knew he had skill, but look at his goal scoring for us vs this season at Ajax. What price would you have sold him for? Given that he didn't want to be here, would you have slapped on a £50m valuation? He was here for 4 years, put in a shift, and he was treated fairly with a fair price.
  20. I've always thought Stephens would make a better DM than CB, or am I talking balls?
  21. I know that it is the Express!!! but.... https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1118087/Premier-League-table-predicted-Supercomputer-final-standings-Man-Utd-Liverpool-Man-City This super computer, which is notoriously inaccurate not least as football is not predictable, gives us 6 more points. I think we would all be happy with a 13th place finish given the crap that Hughes put us in. PS - this is where the Express get it from inc predicted scores: https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/premier-league/league-table/predicted
  22. Who would you rather have starting....Stephens or Hoedt?
  23. Shame he was so reluctant to pull the trigger when he was with us.
  24. If anyone is overly pessimistic, then you can get 200/1 on us for the drop: https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/relegation
  25. I think Brighton need 4 more than us when taking GD into account.
