Lallana completes move to LFC for a fee of around £25m
angelman replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Of all the other teams to get a 25% cut, who else but B'mouth would you want? Just imagine if it was Pompey. (Maybe I am biased seeing as I was born in Boscombe). -
Not sure his maths are quite right but sounds good Would that be €12.5m = £10m for Tadic. So £24/25m for Lallana less the £10m = £14/15m + Tadic for Lallana.

Interesting article, not sure how true as it is going back a wee while.....http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/11258021.RUMOUR_MILL__June_5____Saints_refused_permission_to_speak_with_Magath_/?action=complain&cid=12831279 -
Want to get in there before Utd drop a large wedge for de Vrij

LOL - well I guess that's one way to endear himself to the fans, especially if it leads to a red card.

Can't stand the short playing career excuse. Are they not able to start another career after they hang their boots up? Tough shït if they can't get another job at £100k+ a week. If they do, then maybe they should sit their city exams and go and work for a hedge fund. -

Interesting what he said......two (selective) quotes AL on who he told first..."A lot of my close friends are Southampton fans, but they understand." AL on Gerrard..."My best mates, he's their legend." Now I may be an uber-fan of Saints, or just a normal one, but I am not sure how many Southampton fans see Gerrard as their legend. If I had to have a guess, most would probably plump for Le Tiss or failing that, someone else who played for Southampton. I guess that I could be getting the wrong end of the stick and that these close friends are not his best mates. -

Are people always nice about their ex-wives if they have been through an acrimonious divorce? -

I wouldn't worry about this respect tweet. What have we done that could be wrong to someone who is in the first year of a five year contract, and who we didn't want to sell? If it's about giving the player assurances that we went back on, then that's beyond spurious and no one is naive to believe that anyway, and is just used as some bogus excuse to move. -
Can I throw something into the mix..... While he seems to be a MP signing (maybe it was NC???), we have been told that there was a clique that MP favoured. Could it be possible that Osvaldo wasn't part of the clique? I know that given that he was likely to be a MP signing it doesn't make sense, but something doesn't seem to quite add up.

I'm ambivalent as he left Saints a month or so ago. Well...actually, given his comments, he left many months ago. -

Interesting.... MP leaves, and the club statement doesn't thank him for his services. SRL leaves and there is a eulogy LS leaves and the statement crows how well we did to get a world record price for a teenager AL leaves and there is the briefest statement. -

I think that Bournemouth should throw us a damned good party when we go down there pre-season. -
As I have said, and others, Clattenberg seems to be completely right. I still wonder who pushed the taking Clattenberg to task - I had put it down as being the club and sort of leaving AL hanging out to dry, but comments like this and other actions might suggest it was AL.

Cooo interesting - let's hear the dirt

So he's got his wish to play at such a fantastic football club, which suggests he thinks that SFC isn't a fantastic football club. -
The NFL draft system would never work in "soccer". They also have wage caps. I believe NFL also have to put 35% of ticket sales revenue into a pot that is then divided equally amongst all. You may get 13 teams agreeing to change, but 6 or 7 certainly wouldn't.

Has Morgan spoken with Koeman?

I thought that there was a story recently about Inter wanting him. They want him on loan, http://worldsoccertalk.com/2014/06/08/daniel-osvaldo-reportedly-heading-to-inter-milan-on-loan-from-southampton/ and I am sure that there is info floating about that we want to sell rather than loan.

First refusal on a player? Big deal. If it was first refusal on an inanimate object then fine, but if the players don't want to come here, then first refusal is worthless.

Crystal Palace were favourites to go down last year and at one stage I believe were 1/25 or something like that. Enough said.

I remember Pochy's first home game against Everton. Fellaini was the difference. A great player in my mind. Not sure whose hair annoys me the most - his or AL's?
